  • I have always wanted to do something for Diabetes UK since I fell in love with a T1 pumper! For those of you who don't know, that is someone who suffers from Type 1 diabetes and uses an insulin pump to regulate their blood sugar level.
I will (hopefully!) be cycling from London to Paris in under 72 hours from the 4th - 6th September 2015. I need your help to raise as much money as possible for Diabetes UK before then!
Diabetes UK are continually supporting people like Ellie and are constantly helping to fund research for a future without the condition. Please find more information about what Diabetes UK do on their website:

You & your lovely lady Ellie, have inspired me so much. I am 65 years old and a borderline diabetic, with have high blood pressure for the last 11 years. I have lost 50 lbs. with a a stationary bicycle and a rowing machine. I have 40 more pounds to loose. Just this week I no longer have to take blood pressure med's. I am so glad I found you on youtube. Watching you ride your bicycle on the streets of England. I have included you in my daily prayers for your safe keeping. God Bless you, you both have truly blessed me.

(So cute they are with their posh British accent. Now I feel like having some tea. With muffins).
Great work! Best wishes on the Big Ride.

Hello! I'm watching all of these blogs after the fact, but have found them fascinating as my brother was recently diagnosed with (what I learned from you) type 1.5 diabetes. Oh, and I'd like to correct the record from an earlier comment that he's 55 years old, not 60! I blame the wine on my embarrassing miscalculation on age. ;) Anywho - I feel so anti-climactic here George! Did you do the ride? There's no follow up here! PLEASE.... A recap on the ride, and it's results as to numbers raised to help research would be..... good. ;) And can I just say that you and Ellie are about the cutest couple on Earth? I mean geez. You two could rake in $$$ for the cause just by posing cheek to cheek and smiling! Lol

Thanks for trying w go pro. I know you'll Be careful. Oxidative stress from exertion your body can't tell the difference between over exertion & say, a car accident. Keep stress low doll and pet that pup...when you get back home. I love Louis le Yotkie!

You've come so far from the bad days like that in the 47 days to go and otherwise, I'm sure. You've powered through it and I'm so proud of you. God I wish I could have been there to see you, but I'm stuck in America so far away. I hope you do post little bits and clips from the ride. I'd love to see more of you and your life as time goes on. We're all so proud of you. Way to go, George.
