No kids, no husband, 44 years old. Dated both men and women. Therapy helped me navigate finding a partner with my similar values, taught me how to date in a healthy way and find compatibility….also get my emotions in check when dealing with emotionally unavailable men… I’m a romantic naturally and I love love and having a lover. Currently in a healthy exclusive relationship. So cool that you dated in such a diverse way! Yes honey! You are smart, beautiful and hardworking. Somebody is about to snatch you up…so enjoy this freedom now! 😂 And I love a NY man too! Btw, I love this hairstyle! Your hair grew so much and looks so healthy and full. I have out my pen and pad for makeup tips lol. Thank you! Natural beauty.

    Dear Monroe.
I've only commented on one of your previous videos, but watch video.
I must comment on this one. I'm a Taurus, also; just turned 67yrs. I understand and agree with loving ourselves and enjoying our own company. I'm alone but not LONELY! I lead a fulfilled life of joy and peace.
People need to LEARN that their happiness is not your happiness. What works for them is not what works for someone else!
So, please continue living your life as you wish, and happy early Birthday🥂🎂.
    Take care.
    Mary.

Monroe, I'm a longtime subbie who is in my early 50s and you're such an inspiration to women your own age and beyond. I ❤ that younger women like you hv learned to live life by your own standards; whatever that looks like. Hopefully, my gen (Gen X) was the last to overwhelmingly react to society's pressure to marry and have children just because it's "what you're supposed to do". I was never able to have children and if I lived by that philosophy my life would have been MISERABLE. Instead, I'm married to my best friend, am intentionally growing in every area of my life, and am BAE (Best Auntie Ever) to all of my nieces & nephews. TY for sharing so much of your fabulous life with us & I pray for your continued happiness. 🥰🥰🥰

Best decision yet 🎉 Thank you so much ✨

Monroe, you’re genuinely lovely and your outlook is refreshing. As a single, childless and vibrant woman who was previously engaged, I harbor no negative feelings about ending the relationship and not feeling compelled to go through with something that ultimately wasn’t right for either of us. Nothing in life is promised-learning to love the life you’ve been blessed with and expanding your perspective on what a fulfilling life looks like right now can lead to a more joyful and peaceful existence.

I’ll say this, I’m glad I had kiddos in my early years. I always knew I wanted to marry and have kids, however, that’s not for everyone.
I know peeps who never wanted children and they are happy and living their best life.
Your friends who said don’t do it, don’t have kids, yes ma’am, they know some things 😄. Your life is no longer your own when u have a child/children. Everything changes, and kiddos are expensive hunni😄

Real talk… “Do You”!!! If I knew a 1/4 of what I know now as opposed to my 30’s I wouldn’t have placed priority on certain things that I THOUGHT I needed or wanted in order to feel validated as a woman. I’m divorced and at this point in my life I love me and my lifestyle and aren’t willing to trade that peace for anything or anyone. I’m healthy; thank God and independently happy. You are right Monroe! You can be very happy without being in a relationship or married. Many people are influenced by society's view of happiness by a certain age such as date, marry, have kids and hopefully be able to get nice jobs, a home etc. Quite often life does not go that way for many people. That's perfectly fine! Be happy on your journey through life wherever it takes you. Most important know yourself! ❤

Totally agree about love and relationships. I am 36, never married, currently single. I have dated and have had long term relationships in the past. Yes, I’d like a relationship but with the right person. It will happen, when it’s time and not by force. And I live a very comfortable life being single - homeowner and no obligations to others accept myself. I prioritize my family (parents and sibling) and friends. I do feel that society projects what steps you need to take in life, to include love, marriage. A lot of people get locked into relationships to fulfill these steps without considering their own happiness. I am happy where I am at, proud of my own growth and am learning about myself everyday! Love your channel btw!

Yes Monroe again I agree! Happiness has to already be in one. A person can add to your happiness but it starts from within. I believe in complementing one another not completing one another!! Completeness has to be in one already through trails and error. One first has to be comfortable being alone to have something fulfilling with another, otherwise you are not validating yourself!!!

I live in the suburbs just outside of Toronto. I am sort of single, but not really, it's complicated. Never been married, don't have kids. At 47 most of my friend's kids think i'm mad cool. They enjoy my company and I think they see me as the cool auntie type who knows what's happening in their world but is also comfortable in mine. I too did not think as a teenager and in my early twenties that at this age I wouldn't marry or have kids. The thing is that as i got older, late twenties and during my thirties, I realized that committing full time to a family was not for me. In fact I think I would have done my partner/husband and kids a disservice as what I really needed and in the end prioritized as myself. Mind you most of the guys I have been with are currently married and some still trying to look back at why we didn't work out. In terms of the scene where I am, it's challenging to meet men who know what they want and can handle a woman who knows what she wants (in my opinion). Anyhow, I think that there are so many ways to exist in this world and my focus truly is to try to be true to myself at all my stages of life. Right now truly it would be nice for someone to mow the lawn and help out around the house et al but alas that can't be the basis of a long term committed relationship lol. Shout out to you for doing you and looking forward to your product launch next year!

I'm 52 and I have 3 grown sons. Two is married and my youngest son is not married with no children and it's fine. I have two twin granddaughters by my oldest son and his wife. I have never been married and I don't think I want to get married now. There's nothing wrong if you don't want to get married or have children. Live your life stress free as possible as you can. Ain't nothing like peace and joy! Marriage and having kids are not for everybody. I agree with you totally!

I LOVE your response about having children! I am engaged but my fiancé and I don’t want our lives to revolve around the child. But I def wanna wait till we’re more financially stable to have childcare and more free time to raise the kid (bc there will only be 1!!) 50/50!

Ms. Monroe, I hold great admiration for you, regardless of marital status or children. As fellow Taurus ♉️ individuals, we both cherish our own company and find contentment in it. I am happily single and devoted to my Christian faith. Therefore, my ideal partner must share my Christian commitment. However, if the Lord does not have someone for me, I will remain content and dedicate more time to serving Him. I recall four years ago, your makeup routine was approximately 4 minutes, but look at the remarkable progress you have made since then. I am proud of your achievements and send you my love and appreciation. ♉️👍🏾👏🏾 1:10:25

The fact that your girlfriends with kids are advising you not to have kids is just 100% honesty! Kids are not easy and if you think about the fact that you are responsible for another human being, it's scary as Hell!!!
I have kids, but, I knew I always wanted to have kids. I had my daughter's name picked out for a long time and I made sure that my girlfriends were aware of the name that I picked, so that they DON'T choose the same name! 😜🤣. I love having kids but, that's my experience...sometimes it is great and sometimes it's hard ...and I'm not doing it by myself!
The fact is, whether you choose to have kids is your choice and is NOBODY's business. In this day and age, people should just let each other be!
Monroe girl, keep living your best life and flourishing, like you are hon! 😊🤗

You are definitely the breath of fresh air that I need and your mindset is golden! I agree…one should make themselves happy before trying to make another happy, AND don’t depend on someone to find yours!! Well said. You are wise beyond your years👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Bravo

Sis you are right about all the things pertaining to having a child. I wanted to have a child...that wasn't in the cards for me, but it is an individual choice. One's happiness should not be determined just by these things-husband, children etc. I know we need to be fruitfull and multiply but that's already happening. Took me a minute to get over the childless thing but I see so much joy in other things, so I stopped focusing on that.

I definitely want marriage but much later in life. Not in my 20s and probably not in my 30s. I'm not sure. I'm 23 and have never dated at all. I'm happy to be single for many more years to come and just discover more of who I am as a person and a woman.

Loved this blog. Felt I was talking with my friends. Children are not for everyone. I absolutely love being a mother however I will not have anymore so I get it. So many people have opinions and forget that everyone is aloud to live their life the way they see fit. I have pple in my life that are very happy with the way they live their life while I be thinking he’ll no not me so. It is what it is. Social Media is not real. Live your own life.

I think women that desire to fulfill what society’s narrative is being a traditional wife and kids etc. lots of these people are pushing back against women being ok with not being married and having children and doing other very fulfilling activities in your life.

A lot of people find their validation in partnership (regardless of if the partner is worth a damn 😆). So a lot of people project their insecurities on others bc society and/or their self worth is tied to that. Life can be enjoyed in many different ways and people should let people be.
