Thank you so much, I will try turning off the denoise, it makes perfect sense! as for the addon, I do have it but I find myself not using it that much, I kinda prefer painting it in a single layer for most part, and creating layers manually when I need
You are quite literally saving so many people hours of headache and entire courses full of longwinded explanations with this one, I'm honestly stunned with how simply you were able to explain your workflow. Thank you so much and this will legit be a video I loop to wrap ...my head ..around. Pun originally not intended
Thank you Nicole, this means a lot, I am trying to find a good format for my videos and you saying what you liked about this one is helping me make the next one better 😁
Why hello ma man!! I cant believe I got recommended one of your videos! AND SO MANY VIEWS!! such a good technique for speeding up the painting process, Steve and I abuse the crap about of this haha.
For the UV seam dark lines, it is because when you create a new image for the texture map backing, try selecting a fill color near to the skin color instead of black.
I tried that too, and I still get a single pixel line there, someone else pointed out that could be the denoiser. I tried and that solved! anyways, thanks for the input, it made a lot of sense to me, but the denoise off solved for me
Love the tutorial. Would it be possible to show the process for the clothing. I know the same technique applies but I'd really love to see a video covering hand painting outfits.
hotkey for color pick you need to press shift + x. ..... and while you hold these keys move around the object. Blender now performs many actions without confirmation just hold shift x and move around the object until you find right sample .
For quickly sampling your colour in 4.3, the hotkey is now Shift+X in texture paint mode. Btw I noticed that your viewport navigation is so smooth. It's like orbitting and panning at the same time, and it feels fluid, can't explain but I believe it's not vanilla Blender's function. Are you using any addon for that?
Thank you so much. Officially upgrading to 4.3 now hahaha. For the navigation, I am using a 3d connexion space mouse. Takes some getting used to it and is a bit expensive. But moving the navigation to my opposite hand speeds things up and lets me get into the flow a bit faster when sculpting and painting as i dont need to alternate between painting and moving.
For this guy I tried 4 or 5 different hair techniques before I ended up choosing one. So I didn't really record as i was exploring too much. But i am working on another character for the same project, i will make sure to record the hair workflow this time
Fucking amazing, for real i am speechless. Are you brazilian by any chance? Your work, the workflow and all, incredible, amazing, its insane you don't have more subscribers.
I use substance for client work. but i sign up fr it only as needed. I am trying to keep it on the cheap side for personal projects. And i do like painting in blender a bit more to be honest
For the uv seams you can disable denoise for the render and that should fix the issue, theres also a layers addon for blender called UCUpaint i think

this solved for me, I pinned your comment in case someone else is looking for the answer here, thank you again !

Hair tutorial that matches hand painting model would be cool

You are welcome, thanks for stopping by 😆
I think right now it's better to use 3rd party soft for baking and hand painting. Do you use one?
