Ok zoom fly 6 has me excited. I have the original zoom fly and occasionally use the zoom fly 5. Nike needs a true super trainer to accompany the vapor fly and alpha fly. This could finally be it! I'd be all over this!
The adios 8 is my go to shoe for track efforts, very lightweight and pretty responsive. Plus its 50% cheaper than the Takumi since they normally have sales on the Adios. I picked up my pair for 65$ USD and have gotten quite alot of use out of it
The Adios is an overlooked option. Really good for fast reps.

I saw the vaporfly 4 proto in Portland it looks exactly like the alphafly 3 midsole but without the air bubble

Anything and everything Asics have been doing lately, I've loved - so I'm excited about this shoe. I do (luckily enough) have an S4 (which I picked up while in Japan) and I've enjoyed that too.
Yes they are hitting the spot in all areas. Even the nimbus / Kayano are best ones so far
Interested in the Zoom Fly 6, it looks much better than the ZF5. Always loved the Zoom Fly 2 Flyknit and the ZF3 wasn't bad either.
I still have the zoom flyknit 2. It was an amazing shoe!

I got see adizero evo c in person few months ago. Upper on that one looks quite nice. Surprisingly no news or rumors on that one yet

My first thought was a tribute to Red Wedge, the 1980s musical collective led by Billy Bragg, Paul Weller, and Jimmy Somerville. Much more likely though is that it salutes Roger Waters, lyricist and lead vocalist on "Run Like Hell."

I don’t get why Nike don’t just make the zoom fly a all zoom x midsole , then put a slightly less rigid nylon plate in it and then you would have a incredibly good endorphin speed competitor

I know you and the fod runner will probably dislike the new softer sink in and bouncer direction the shoe appears to have gone in but for me the original was way too firm and it beat my legs up , it was fast but I couldn’t wait to get them off at the end of run and as a result iv not got around to actually trying them in a race
I wasn’t going to buy the 2s but know I’m saving up for them and there a must have for me
Yeah, rw means race walking. Usually a race walking shoe is firm, flexible and flat to the ground, so maybe that ASICS shoe can be a good track day option for us runners😂
Elite 2 March 2025, think this is still prototype, could be adapted. Foam looks super soft as some videos online.

Yeah I have the Zoom Fly 3 and Zoom Fly 5 and I think the 3 just took my "prize" for my worst Nike shoe from those two and the Ultrafly and I normally like them. 5 was indeed way too heavy for us in the larger sizes. At 388g in a UK 13, it is somewhat more than even a regular Pegasus for me. If it comes down to around 350g then might be a decent "cruiser" and perhaps is geared up for that a little more than hopefully a somewhat lighter Pegasus Plus which can't be far off now.
The brick shoes have become a little less usual these days. At least with the new foams and move from Eva we have less heft in the larger sizes. Keep gravitating back to the alphafly and sb2 at the mo due to the lack of weight. The daily shoes feel quite uninspiring to run in during the summer

ZF6 maybe, but I’m skeptical. Tried ZF4,5 - not good for me.
I ran in AZ Tempo next% (VF for race) since it was released. Disappeared w/o any explanation and I’m struggling to find a replacement. I don’t understand Nike.
I still think a v2 will come!

Do you think that could be linked to the reception of the Adios 8? Hence, the 9 a complete overhaul and set to release this year? 🤔

My entry for the Asics RW guessing game: Run-Walk? There could be a place for a shoe targeted at run-walkers (a grossly under-utilised strategy for training and racing: try it today!).
I do it these days on super hard rep sessions. The years are adding up! All the other shoetubers are way younger aside from Kofuzi.
@@EDDBUD You shouldn't feel like you need an excuse to run-walk. I think almost every runner could benefit from trying it. In my opinion it's just the best way to get from point A to point B on foot, if your ego will allow it. I particularly like it for Z2 runs: it lets me keep my HR as low as I want, while still running with a smooth and natural-feeling technique.

Ran my 251 pb in 2017 in the adios 3 which wer my all time favourite shoe of all time! Had pairs 5 6 7s not a huge fan but looking forward to this 9 model for sure....Great work as always Eduardo 🎉🎉🎉
Had the Adios 5. That was banger! Super light though by todays standards had the most “road” feel 🤣👍🏼

Something just like the endorphin speed that also uses 100% race day foam and a nylon plate instead of carbon
I currently use the vf2 for my speed sessions

Well that Adios 9 makes me more confident that we'll see full lightstrike pro on the next Boston too, I suspected that would be so given that the SL2 has full length pro foam. I'd like to try the SL2 but the Adios 8 is significantly cheaper where I live, so I'm kind of tempted to get that. But looking at what's eventually going to be available I'm just going to wait, hopefully not too long.

Adios 9 though should be great with all LS Pro and no plates or rods
I use my zoom fly 5 when I want shoes to be used like ankle weights. It has character building properties. 😅
Adios 9 will be a sure pick for me, j did a mile/5k best in adios 8

Ι still have 4 pairs of Nike;s Zoom Fly Flyknit(or v.2)and I liked it when it was released, even race a HM with one pair(before buying the VF Flyknit which was released but not available at that time). I also bought the Zoom Fly 3 and run 500 km but didn't like it as much as the previous version. I stopped it there because the next versions were just garbage IMHO at least for me(5' 10'' and 130 lbs). Maybe they worked for heavier runners though I don't know. The new version looks interesting and I will test them in a Nike store when they become available.
Yeah the return to a potentially more zoom fly flyknit like weight is exciting!

On the Asics RW - maybe it’s their version of that crazy $500, single-use Adidas that we saw last year? The colourway and shape made me think that; perhaps they want it to be the ultimate expression of the Metaspeed Sky/Edge Paris, to be released for the Tokyo Marathon next March..?? Either way, as an Asics loyalist I’m sold ha
It’s too close in terms of upper and midsole for that to the Metaspeeds.

Nothing on the adidas models. Haven’t seen much on the Hoka though their stuff is improved from 2023

I like lower drop shoes, like Takumi Sen for example... And isnt sky paris doing well with the lower drop? Wonder why Nike doesn't do more lower drop supershoes!
Nike are a strange beast. It’s taken them till 2024 to do the Pegasus plus ( turbo ) but I think it might be too late

Anyways, whoever is at the helm in Nike is not doing a good job! They got it all, they always had it, zoomx is still the best (idk about ff turbo +, or whtvr they are using in that super expensive Adidas shoe)... it surprised nobody when they were on the top, it shocks many that they are not anymore!
