West Lancashire Light Railway Autumn Gala 2009

The Annual Autumn Gala at the West Lancashire Light Railway, Hesketh Bank, Lancashire UK. This is the time when the railway gets as many of it's steam locomotives and internal combustion engines out for a run. This year the guess locomotive was Sragi No.1, an 0-4-2 (Krauss 4045 of 1899) from the Statfold Barn Railway, Tamworth, Staffordshire.

A really enjoyable video, brings back some good memories of my visit many years ago, when my son made the press with a photograph of him on the footplate of the Irish Mail, renamed Paddy for the day with a grandpa face on the front.

Very nice video, especially the eks Sragi Sugar Mill No.1. Many steam locos in Indonesia are left in poor in conditions, and it's good that the West Lancashire Railway Museum has kept it in good shape. Definitely love to go there when I get a chance to go to England again, especially inside the engine shed.
