Joe, if we’re being honest…. Nobody has been checking for his music or albums.
Most people aren’t selling these days anymore unlike you Drake or Kendrick. Older audience don’t support like they used to cuz they got responsibilities and other things in life but also Joe out of his prime
@ Respect Panda you do give the most authentic and actually interesting interviews. But really I mean Fat Joe is nearing his 60’s. Nobody is really selling at his age. I’d be damned if I’m finnna spent 11.00 on a album, can’t even get food with that money

Hip hop was created by FBAs thats not a debate 🤨
Dj Kool herc was not fba and he is considered the creator so shut up b0z0
Never heard of a fba until now.
@tonystarks0312 never heard of puerto ricans or mexicans creating hip hop until now but you should focus less on OUR business and OUR culture and big up yours
@ I am black! before you jump out the window make sure you on a low floor idiot! People quick with the “our’s” and have put nothing into the culture!
Hip-Hop wasn’t created overnight. It wasn’t just made up at a party in New York one night. It’s an evolution of black music and culture over multiple generations. For Puerto Ricans to have created hip-hop with black folks 50/50, they would have had to be with us through slavery, Jim Crow, Civil Rights, the Blues, R&B, Gospel, etc… hip-hop takes elements from our entire history and you can trace what came from where. There’s no chain of history, art, or music in Puerto Rican culture that leads to hip-hop.
@@Lance-Oakland without Puerto Ricans hip hop wouldn’t be what it be today African Americans could take credit for Jazz, blue and gospel but not hip hop because that’s NYC creation where black Americans, black Caribbeans and Puerto Ricans live among each other sorry down South black Americans yall wouldn’t understand!
@ the only real great great legendary Puerto Rican rapper is Big Pun. If Hip-Hop wouldn’t be what it is today without Puerto Ricans, prove it. Name me 10 great, influential Puerto Rican rappers other than Pun.
@@Lance-Oakland crazy legs and Prince Markie Dee from the fat boys and that’s on a English level but yall black Americans failed to realized that hip hop got carried on in Spanish by Puerto Ricans reggaeton artist bingoooo!!
@brooklyn general the few ricans that were into hip hop during the seventies like Charlie Chase said ricans didn’t create hip hop,
During the seventies blacks and ricans for the most part didn’t get along ! Hip hop is rooted in funk music being played for young black teenagers and young adults. Black spades ♠️ were largely responsible for hip hop .
Latinos were largely into their own culture such as the fania all stars hector lavoe they were huge back then

😂😂😂 I know Q is off the cuff like that
New subscriber: From someone who partied with a lot of Nuyoricans and Boricuas in New York who embraced the Blackness, Fat Joe is an isolated case. Everybody knows that Grandmaster Flash is synonymous with the origins of hip hop and is considered a musical innovator and creative force. I'm NY educated from Pratt Inst in BK and completed my masters of fine art, Rochester Inst of Technology. I come from the music industry and had a major hand in rebranding in Manhattan GRP records under the VERVE label owned by Universal Music Group, in fact Def Jam Recording was down the hall. Know your New York Black\Puerto Rican history. Fact, it was a Black Puerto Rican that made the greatest contribution to the Harlem Renaissance, Arturo Alfonso Schomburg (1874 - 1938) was a Puerto Rican historian, writer, curator, and activist who moved to New York City in 1891. Schomburg was a key figure in the Harlem Renaissance and an important intellectual who helped redefine how Black history is remembered. In 1926, Schomburg donated his collection to the New York Public Library, where it became the foundation for the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The center's collections include over 11 million items. I have nephews that are Black Puerto Rican, I am Black, I partied and broke bread with many families, I dance mambo (salsa), Bomba Y Plena, travelled the entire Island of PR, danced at the popular night clubs "The Copa, Jimmy's BX cafe, Wild Palm (BX), Windows over Harlem, Latin Quarter, Orchard beach (BX). This is a distraction we need to unite with Nuyoricans and Boricuas. Even Mambo is afro-Cubano sound made popular by Dizzy" Gillespie fusing bebop his jazz trumpet sound to form Afro-Cuban jazz.
im puertorican .. everywhere i go all my life ppl thought i was black. ppl forget African culture and roots are deep in puertorican culture.. BOMBA.. Pasteles .. AFRICAN style... bro.. we still black.. there are cubans, dominicans, mexicans, brazilians, colombians and a bunch of other countries that have ppl with african in their blood.. 1 thing i wont let FBA do is take away my AFRICAN roots. idk .. seem like they tryna police who tf is black and its fuckn weird .. even going by human history.. the first ppl on earth came from africa.. that means all ppl orignally come from AFRICA.. so we all black when you get to the beginning of the root of human existence. RACE IS A MYTH lol... ima say it again.. if you got platanos in your diet your african. happy new year yalll
Thank u fellow boeicua hermano.....I have been trying to write exactly this!I am not letting fba dictate my dna....and ,I will not let disrespect 🇵🇷💯🙏🏾✌🏾💪🏾
Ain’t nobody going to police me! JOE, FBA and anyone else can kiss my ass.
Maybe you need to listen to FBA before going on a rant first of all FBA are not trying controlling who’s black or we never said Latinos or any other group wasn’t black it’s your ppl who don’t identify with being black as a whole and you know it .. just because you identify doesn’t mean you ppl do and look at you and joe lol your mistaken for being black not him and let’s get to that it’s obvious you have negro genes how does not he’s obvious more Spaniard and your acting like everybody in Latin America is the same stop it and you know exactly what your ppl say about black Americans your ppl have derogatory names designated for darkskin ppl so stop the cap
Absolutely. We are all Black Culture. We do have different black cultures. Unity does and will take place. While it is ok for you to have yours. It is ok for Africans to have theirs. It is ok for West Indians to have theirs. It is also ok for us to have our identity. That’s respect. Ultimately we are due money for the labor or our particular ancestors. This shouldn’t be a problem. The fact that it is, is suspect.
black is a slave name. thats what people who don't know where they come from call themselves.

From NY the part where he states in so many words that pretty much black & Puerto Rican were like roll dogs, is true. So imagine my shock when I moved away for school also my job requires me to travel it’s when I learned so far that mostly a NY & somewhat an LA thing. Most Hispanics I’ve come across outside of NY already have these negative thoughts towards black folks and Fat Joe sounded like one of them when I’m his statement you can hear the disdain he had by putting ALL FDA in one box. Fat Boy Joey shouldn’t wouldn’t have said half that shit he said about black folks in his statement if he was speaking on any other community besides black. Anyways have had Puerto Rican throughout my travel tell me I was different say I like nice in a surprising way look surprised when they see I’m the manager at this corporate job. The Puerto Ricans I know back home are not like this. Fat Joe is from back home. Yes. But he is showing how he truly feels publicly. That’s how I see it. Never was a fan of him anyways🤭. Maybe it’s what he had beneath his surface is what made me wonder why is he here, cuz I’ve wondered that a few times when I’ve seen him at the BET awards. He just latches on to any black personality he can & also latched on to Big Pun it seems. Yet he won’t make such general statements about Puerto Ricans the way he do when it comes to blacks, and that’s the difference. Thus no thanks. Fat Joey.
Race relations in LA is much more divided than in NY. Not as many Puerto Ricans. It’s more Mexicans. You said Joe put ALL FBA in one box. Do you feel some are more extreme than others? Do you consider yourself one?
I maybe black bu i always consider Cuban Link black
Why is that? Afro Latino? I’m asking because you’re the first person Ive heard say that
Cuban Link seems to be of African and Native descent
Rudy dee,Charlie chase ,disco wiz, devastating tito, all around 76 . Prince markie dee 1980’s. All before any down south or west coast rapper appeared!!! Facts 💯 so FBA outside of nyc doesn’t count and can’t take the culture out the South Bronx
100%
FBA is right , hip hop is a Black art form created by Black's. I don't listen to Black music I listen to my people's music Mariachi. I think people should embrace their culture and respect others. But I live in the Varrio eat Mexican food, date Mexican women .
You need to talk to your people in California. The Mexican community thinks hip hop is theirs . On top of it many of them come from racist gangs.
But if you don’t listen hip hop how did this video pop in feed
i have no respect for Joe cuz he cappin all day err-day, he's the wrong person to rerpresent Puerto-Ricans let alone latinos over all...i love hip hop that helped me grow and helped me at times when i was going through ish...i never looked at it as color but as a culture that we brought together where we understood what it is to be different from others, stood different from others...i never looked at it as colors, crayons were meant for that job..i truly hate seperation between beautiful people who created what we needed when we needed it!!!!
What’s disturbing is you talking about fat joe for like 25 years !!!
Cuban now talkin smack about it cuz its a fat joe but if its someone else he would stay quiet 😢😢 that's all chime in now like everyone now
I don’t think he would stay quiet about it if it’s someone else. Cuban loves hip hop and is very outspoken. You have to remember Q has shifted in the past few years to be more present in talking about current events. He does it on his livestreams too. He would definitely address a topic this huge.
