Another big difference between the two is just the end goal of their character arcs in general. Sanjis end goal is finding the all blue, Zoros end goal is literally being the strongest swordsman. Zoros gonna need to be yonko level by the end to achieve his goal, Sanji doesnt need to reach those heights

I think just by pure strength, Zoro is definitely stronger. But when it comes to overall combat capabilities, they're still equals. I think the only reason Oda put Zoro in roofpiece is because he wants to gather all the supernovas in one room together. Another reason is that we still came fresh off WCI, where Sanji got a lot of spotlights and impressive feats like dodging Kata's surprise attack, attack Oven and even managed to fend off one of BM's attack. Since Wano does have a lot more emphasis on Zoro, it's only fair for him to get his spotlight too. I don't think they will ever be equal but very close enough to one another like Naruto and Sasuke. And I know, for you rivals does not mean equals, but Sanji and Zoro's rivalry were always portrayed to reflect Dorry and Broggy's rivalry who are literal equal in strengths. They are true rivals in every sense unlike Luffy and the supernovas, where they're more rival by infamy and status. It's not like Luffy actively were competing against the supernovas except for Kidd and Law. And if I want to use the similar argument as yours about rivalries, Killer was involved in the roofpiece and was portrayed as competent enough to stand equally among the rest of the supernovas but I don't think he's anywhere stronger than Sanji. Just because Oda put him there doesn't mean narratively Oda is saying Killer is stronger than Sanji. I always view Sanji as someone with better Speed, IQ, Hax and Durability while Zoro has better Strength, Damage, Haki and Endurance.

I am a MASSIVE fan of both characters, although easily a much bigger Sanji fan. I never wanted Sanji to be stronger than Zoro tbh. I never minded Sanji occasionally being relative to Zoro. And honest Sanji is much muchhh stronger than people give him credit for. Having said that, I believe that both wings are incredibly strong but I have no issue with the worlds future strongest swordman being more powerful than the saucy little man that wants to see a big ocean
I think one thing that gets overlooked is that Sanji replicated the best feat a non-rooftop combatant can have. He held off King and Queen at the same time when Marco and Zoro were down. This fight was mostly offscreen but stated to have happened in the manga and expanded on in the anime. In the anime we see that Sanji is able to use his speed and ability to fly to fight and keep King and Queen at bay. Sanji's mobility is insane. He did that before he fully awakened his Germa abilities. The only other character we saw hold off a first and second commander at the same time was Marco (a character who arguably could have helped a ton if he was on the rooftop). We've seen Marco clash with admirals and we had Sanji replicate his big feat for the arc. King (Zoro's opponent) failed to kill Sanji twice. He failed to kill him the first time when they clashed over Momo. You can argue that the first time was only because of the raid suit. The second time he had Queen's help and Sanji had no raid suit on. Sanji was portrayed to be on a level where he could clash with and fight on par with King but probably not beat him before his Germa genes power-up. That's a similar level to where Zoro was. He could clash with and fight on par with King but could not beat King. Then he got advanced conquerors haki. Sanji fully unlocked his Germa genes and beat Queen very handily. I think the big question becomes could Ifrit Jambe Sanji defeat King. I think the answer is yes. Given how well Sanji could fight King before and how big the power-up was, I think Sanji could also have defeated King though I believe he would have had a harder time. I estimate Ifrit Jambe to be somewhere between advanced armament and advanced conquerors haki in power. The reason for this is that we saw advanced armament users Inu, Neko, and Ashura Doji fight Jack. They all seemed to be able to fight on par with him but have trouble with his durability (a common theme among the beast pirates). Inu and Neko couldn't put Jack down in 5 days. Queen was portrayed to have similar but possibly even higher durability. Sanji put Queen down in probably a little over 15 minutes. Ifrit Jambe in particular just made Queen's durability irrelevant. That implies to me that Ifrit Jambe is far stronger than advanced armament. I think advanced conquerors is still stronger than it though. Ultimately, I think Zoro is stronger than Sanji but by a very slight margin.

Sanji implied that he train his armament haki, I mean, they where in Wano, Sanji is just as capable as Zoro and Luffy to learn new things, it's not far fetched to think that someone teach him about Ryou and he implemented it in Diable Jambe, maybe it wasn't just enough after the Germa upgrade, but he can still keep developing it, I hope we get black flames with lightning some day

The problem with doriki is that it only measures physical strength. It doesnt take into account devil fruits and safe to say that it doesnt take into consideration weapons. The thing with Kaku is that he wasn't a brawler. He is a swordsman and that strength can't be measured with that system. So he was actually a lot stronger than he was portrayed.
Zoro is portrayed to be equal/comparable to Sanji sometimes and then portrayed to be comparable to Luffy sometimes. But Sanji is never portrayed to be comparable to Luffy .So Zoro is basically always between this two strength wise.Wano is a clear example of this .Zoro fights alongside Luffy and then fights alongside Sanji .The Alabasta saga the same .The question should not be is Zoro and Sanji equal but it should be ,Is Zoro closer in strength to Luffy or Sanji.And right now it is Sanji .Luffy left them boys behind.

I've always seen them as close, with Zoro coming out on top. People always overlook that Sanji Highlight feats is shown earlier than zoro in whole cake Island. He freaking speed blitz Oven and He dodged an attack from a person who can see seconds ahead from the future. Yeah Sanji fan here. These two are exactly where they need to be. Zoro is the man who has to support the future pirate king (yes the whole crew does but Zoro proves that he is Luffy's strongest of most important pillar) and become the Future WSSM. And Sanji is the man who has to support that future WSSM. That's actually his biggest role (beyond being the cook of the ship). So yes Sanji is always going to be one step behind Zoro but that's because that's exactly where he needs to be (like what kind of man can support the future WSSM is the question). And Sanji’s biggest role is being the cook, it shows that while Sanji can support luffy both directly and indirectly (by supporting Zoro) in combat. He can also support the crew in noncombative ways. Sanji is multiple combat fighter.. Its his style Queen didnt use germa technique with chopper.. Also Queen hasnt taken any damage from chopper He is taking him lightly..
Sanji is a combo fighter though. That does not showcased him going all out. Unless you forgot or just missed this, it was literally shown in Arlong Park, where he easily defeated Kuroobi with ease on land. He still use multiple combos but dude was barely struggling on land. You have literally zero evidence to prove that King and Queen aren't close. I agree that bounties isn't a showcase of strength but they were never any real showcase of King being leagues above Queen. He's still stronger but based on how Queen can easily brushed off his attacks pretty much just show that they're closed to one another.
Sanji and Zoro would throw away there dream in a heartbeat in order for luffy to become pirate king, so even if zoro ambition is being the strongest swordsman and sanjis is only finding the all blue, he still tries his best so that luffy can achieve his dream. I don’t think you give Sanji enough credit here, I legitimately believe with his new exoskeleton and ifrit, he could beat Zoro. Not saying Sanji is stronger in the traditional sense, but I do believe the difference in speed is crucial, since for Sanji his speed is a constant that Zoro just can’t match, to the point he can doge an attack from someone with future site while in base (as far as I know Zoro can’t do that. Please do correct me if I’m wrong) And essentially become invisible. add that to Sanjis attack power being almost comparable to Zoros and I really think Zoro would have a rougher time than you think just hitting him while taking a continuous beating himself. Zorros main role and skill tree is damage/power so he has to be the second strongest in crew behind Luffy - Sanji is the damage support. His support is cooking skills and his main objective.

Sanji has been my favourite character from the moment I laid my eyes on him, but as much as I love Sanji (full homo) zoro is and will probably continue to stay stronger BUT WHO CARES seriously... They're 2 of the closest friends in the entire series and if you can't see that then you're honestly not paying attention to the masterpiece that oda has made. Something I do want to add to the portray of the two since post timeskip is that Zoro has been fighting weaker opponents then him and sanji has been fighting stronger opponents then him and the fact that zoro’s fights end in wins and sanji’s results in just brief clashes makes the perception that one is vastly stronger then the other. The new fishmen pirates were all fodder we can agree. Punk hazard sanji clashed with vergo the strongest enemy fighter while zoro fought monet, probably second weakest to ceaser. Dressrosa helps to somewhat solidify the two’s strength discreetly as sanji clashed against doffy who praised sanji’s strength, & Zoro clashed with fujitora who also acknowledged zoro’s strength. Doffy being what we the fanbase can agree as the strongest warlord second to mihawk and an admiral praised each character. But the main battle for Zoro was pica who wasn’t even doffy’s right hand as the “Heart” seat belonged to vergo
WCI sanji gets feats of dodging and intercepting commander and commander level characters, wano zoro’s portrayal catches back up by clashing with Hawkins & scoring W’s against killer, & sanji isn’t far behind with a W against Xdrake and a clash against page 1 that served as nothing more then a “Stealth Black” test for sanji. At this point sanji clashed and won against two tobi roppo with one of them just being a testing ground for his germa suit but again Definitive wins paints a better picture in portrayal so thus why fan perception is why Zoro is far above sanji
We get to onigashima & the rooftop. Zoro’s portrayal is great as hell no lie about it. Yet the rooftop was a team effort between the 5,supernova and while Zoro put in that bad ass work, things wouldn’t have gone as smooth if not for that collaboration. And I understand scarring kaido is an impressive feat but if making him bleed was enough for top tier in the verse then the scabbards would be up their too since they on multiple occasions cut & even stabbed kaido through, meanwhile on the live floor you had sanji taking on both king and queen by himself, with Marco reaching his limit at some point falling onto sanji to protect Marco & Zoro from both All Stars even after he’s already been fighting with queen. In portrayal, to me greater context matter and while I do acknowledge Zoro to be a little stronger then sanji for his feats on the rooftop I can’t disregard the fact that the scabbards who are at best slightly stronger if not weaker then a YC3 were able to clash and make a ptsd triggered kaido bleed before he poured his strength & stamina into lifting the island while fighting the supernova, vs a sanji who was holding back two commanders on his own so while there’s a gap between the two I don’t imagine it to be so astonishingly large as sanji could continue his solo fight with queen just fine and only struggled with his internal battle, after Zoro rejoined and Zoro who did struggle with king unlock Conquerors coating for the win
I think this kinda just makes an argument on why they're vastly close to one another as opposed to stronger. Or you just forgot to finish that sentence properly?
Also, this argument is a reason why I have issues with people arguing why Yamato is stronger than Zoro and Sanji. Yamato only able to give Kaido a slight bleed (which isn't even comparable to Zoro giving Kaido a deep wound that will cause permanent scar) and being able to survived against Kaido isn't much of a feat of strength and yet people went hogwild on how Yamato is stronger than both and not even close. The strongest case of argument they have on Yamato is that she have conq. haki (which isn't impressive considering the fact she still equal to Ace who hasn't even mastered conq. haki yet and still can't properly damage Kaido) and she can tank Kaido's attack (which is more of a durable feat). People seems to forget that Zoan's biggest strength is their high durability which makes the tanking less impressive as it's more of the ability of Mythical Zoan users as opposed to Yamato being extra durable herself. And Yamato is actively defending against Kaido and still lost. Not to mention even with advanced conq. haki, she still isn't able to remove the prism stone shackles that even Luffy who hasn't even mastered the advanced haki can easily remove it.
If sanji got sea stone heels to his shoes and future sight and gets more small increases he'll be around yonko level too I think they'll be at the same level generally through the whole series even if zoro is always shown slightly stronger.
Pre wano id say there's was a big gap between zoro and sanji but now it's become extremely small due to sanjis awakening with the top 4 ranking being luffy>>>zoro=>sanji>>jinbei
For a long time, I've always seen zoro as one step above sanji, not because Sanji is not as good as a character, but because it's clearly portrayed thaat luffy is always ahead of sanji but zoro is often compared with both luffy and sanji. Ues he is Sanji's rival, but he's also in the supernova with luffy, not to mention that when sanji and luffy are together you Can feel that sanji is really important in the crew but when luffy and zoro are together, it kinda feels like a partnership? More similar to what other crews have like Sanks and Beckman. It's the way oda create the situation for those two to feel like it, like in Jaya and then the thing with Usopp etc etc
Zoro better be stronger than Sanji, fighting isn't homeboy's passion. It's not even in his top 3. Sanji's list has women, cooking, and searching for the grand blue on it far above combat yet he's still on par with Zoro in that realm. That's probably another reason Zoro can't stand good ol' Black Leg. It'd be a shame if Zoro wouldn't beat him in a fight. With Sanji's knife proficiency he would probably be the best swordsman alive, and deep down Zoro absolutely knows it. .His eye for the craft would notice every time he would see Sanji fillet a fish. We've all seen the Water 7 arc, you think Zoro hasn't picked up on this? In his heart Zoro knows title of greatest swordsman is a sham if Sanji is stronger than him.
I think Sanji have better overall speed but Zoro have better overall strength and endurance (which is not equal to durability though). If this were an RPG stat sheets, Sanji invest all his point in Durability and Speed while Zoro invest all his points in Strength, Haki and Stamina.

It’s kinda makes sense because Shiki and Rocks probably had conquers haki as well and that makes the difference between Roger and Luffy to Rocks because they were able to control the conquers in their crews while rocks couldn’t. Also Roger actually had 3 users because oden had it as well and you could say even 4 with shanks although he was a child so it’s hard to count him.
Bro king and queen were pretty much relative and sanji blitzed Queen that Queen thought sanji was invisible and even on whole cake island he was perception blitzing Oven and sanji was able to dodge katakuri attack even when he used future sight. Also in a recent chapter, SPOILER, sanji moved from one side of an island to the other, saved someone from a laser blast and ended up next to zoro without zoro noticing. If you want to get technical that’s such a huge speed gap Zoro wouldn’t have time to react to anything. I still think they’re equal they’re just better at certain things than the other.

Sanji launching ppl in the stratosphere! Zoro slicing up mountains! The feats are different. Hard to compare them. Unless Oda gives Sanji Armament Haki on top of the exoskeleton, Zoro is going to be able to cut him. I do wish Sanji was able to develop techniques like rankyaku and hasshoken (technique Sai used in Dressrosa). I think those would catapult Sanji into a devastating fighter.
In the color spread for chapter 1031, oda listed all the no.2s for every legit pirate crew, Zoro was showed along with Rayleigh, Ben Beckman, Marco and Katakuri to name a few. Sanji was not in that list. And by No.2 = second strongest of the crew... Why is this still a debate while oda has confirmed this himself??

I don't necessarily think that's the case, but I have similar guess as to why he didn't gave Sanji adv. Haki. It's probably because he does not want Sanji to overtake the spotlight and glory from Zoro since this is still pretty much his arc. Him using adv. conq were very cool and I think having Sanji also unlocked that will just lessen the impact. And Sanji were already having his spotlight with enhanced body and ifrit. I don't necessarily think that would make Sanji stronger than Zoro though.

Let me just say one thing to clear this up: Zoro has Advanced Conquerors Haki but he doesn't know what it is or how it works! He's literally a blindan spamming buttons and he's still beating King and wounding Kaido. Imagine what kind of shit he can pull off once he knows what he has and knows how to use it! Plus, he cut Kaido WITHOUT using Conquerors Haki, the only person to wound Kaido was Oden who had Advanced Conquerors Haki and knew how to use it. As a fan of both characters I don’t think that they are truly equal. However I do believe that they are pretty close and are rivals and even if he’s weaker Sanji has more than earned Zoro’s respect.

Another big difference between the two is just the end goal of their character arcs in general. Sanjis end goal is finding the all blue, Zoros end goal is literally being the strongest swordsman. Zoros gonna need to be yonko level by the end to achieve his goal, Sanji doesnt need to reach those heights

I think just by pure strength, Zoro is definitely stronger. But when it comes to overall combat capabilities, they're still equals. I think the only reason Oda put Zoro in roofpiece is because he wants to gather all the supernovas in one room together. Another reason is that we still came fresh off WCI, where Sanji got a lot of spotlights and impressive feats like dodging Kata's surprise attack, attack Oven and even managed to fend off one of BM's attack. Since Wano does have a lot more emphasis on Zoro, it's only fair for him to get his spotlight too. I don't think they will ever be equal but very close enough to one another like Naruto and Sasuke. And I know, for you rivals does not mean equals, but Sanji and Zoro's rivalry were always portrayed to reflect Dorry and Broggy's rivalry who are literal equal in strengths. They are true rivals in every sense unlike Luffy and the supernovas, where they're more rival by infamy and status. It's not like Luffy actively were competing against the supernovas except for Kidd and Law.
And if I want to use the similar argument as yours about rivalries, Killer was involved in the roofpiece and was portrayed as competent enough to stand equally among the rest of the supernovas but I don't think he's anywhere stronger than Sanji. Just because Oda put him there doesn't mean narratively Oda is saying Killer is stronger than Sanji. I always view Sanji as someone with better Speed, IQ, Hax and Durability while Zoro has better Strength, Damage, Haki and Endurance.

I am a MASSIVE fan of both characters, although easily a much bigger Sanji fan. I never wanted Sanji to be stronger than Zoro tbh. I never minded Sanji occasionally being relative to Zoro. And honest Sanji is much muchhh stronger than people give him credit for. Having said that, I believe that both wings are incredibly strong but I have no issue with the worlds future strongest swordman being more powerful than the saucy little man that wants to see a big ocean

We saw that against Don Flamingo. He had to puppet Sanji to win once Sanji went full in.
I think one thing that gets overlooked is that Sanji replicated the best feat a non-rooftop combatant can have. He held off King and Queen at the same time when Marco and Zoro were down. This fight was mostly offscreen but stated to have happened in the manga and expanded on in the anime. In the anime we see that Sanji is able to use his speed and ability to fly to fight and keep King and Queen at bay. Sanji's mobility is insane. He did that before he fully awakened his Germa abilities. The only other character we saw hold off a first and second commander at the same time was Marco (a character who arguably could have helped a ton if he was on the rooftop). We've seen Marco clash with admirals and we had Sanji replicate his big feat for the arc. King (Zoro's opponent) failed to kill Sanji twice. He failed to kill him the first time when they clashed over Momo. You can argue that the first time was only because of the raid suit. The second time he had Queen's help and Sanji had no raid suit on. Sanji was portrayed to be on a level where he could clash with and fight on par with King but probably not beat him before his Germa genes power-up. That's a similar level to where Zoro was. He could clash with and fight on par with King but could not beat King. Then he got advanced conquerors haki. Sanji fully unlocked his Germa genes and beat Queen very handily.
I think the big question becomes could Ifrit Jambe Sanji defeat King. I think the answer is yes. Given how well Sanji could fight King before and how big the power-up was, I think Sanji could also have defeated King though I believe he would have had a harder time. I estimate Ifrit Jambe to be somewhere between advanced armament and advanced conquerors haki in power. The reason for this is that we saw advanced armament users Inu, Neko, and Ashura Doji fight Jack. They all seemed to be able to fight on par with him but have trouble with his durability (a common theme among the beast pirates). Inu and Neko couldn't put Jack down in 5 days. Queen was portrayed to have similar but possibly even higher durability. Sanji put Queen down in probably a little over 15 minutes. Ifrit Jambe in particular just made Queen's durability irrelevant. That implies to me that Ifrit Jambe is far stronger than advanced armament. I think advanced conquerors is still stronger than it though.
Ultimately, I think Zoro is stronger than Sanji but by a very slight margin.

Sanji implied that he train his armament haki, I mean, they where in Wano, Sanji is just as capable as Zoro and Luffy to learn new things, it's not far fetched to think that someone teach him about Ryou and he implemented it in Diable Jambe, maybe it wasn't just enough after the Germa upgrade, but he can still keep developing it, I hope we get black flames with lightning some day

in the official japanese raw it says ryo-roku which literally translates to THE wings, so yes Sanji is both wings but somehow try twist oda's words, even the anime got it wrong too
The problem with doriki is that it only measures physical strength. It doesnt take into account devil fruits and safe to say that it doesnt take into consideration weapons. The thing with Kaku is that he wasn't a brawler. He is a swordsman and that strength can't be measured with that system. So he was actually a lot stronger than he was portrayed.
Zoro is portrayed to be equal/comparable to Sanji sometimes and then portrayed to be comparable to Luffy sometimes. But Sanji is never portrayed to be comparable to Luffy .So Zoro is basically always between this two strength wise.Wano is a clear example of this .Zoro fights alongside Luffy and then fights alongside Sanji .The Alabasta saga the same .The question should not be is Zoro and Sanji equal but it should be ,Is Zoro closer in strength to Luffy or Sanji.And right now it is Sanji .Luffy left them boys behind.

King and Kaido has the best durability so far but queen is also really durable.
Queen consistently bleed from the likes of Chopper but his main Trump card came from his endurance and weapons.

I've always seen them as close, with Zoro coming out on top. But man how strong awakened Sanji has become and how much Zoro struggled against King, anyone saying Sanji is a LOT weaker than Zoro is just plain not paying attention.

It is not as Big as Zoro's feats but it is enough to potray that he is better than zoro in speed and in Wano arc, It is time for Zoro to shine and show why he is better in terms of strength and endurance but I think Oda know that Zoro's feats will stump sanji's so he make us remember sanji's Speed by showing how fast he is while fighting queen.

These two are exactly where they need to be. Zoro is the man who has to support the future pirate king (yes the whole crew does but Zoro proves that he is Luffy's strongest of most important pillar) and become the Future WSSM. And Sanji is the man who has to support that future WSSM.
That's actually his biggest role (beyond being the cook of the ship). So yes Sanji is always going to be one step behind Zoro but that's because that's exactly where he needs to be (like what kind of man can support the future WSSM is the question).
And Sanji’s biggest role is being the cook, it shows that while Sanji can support luffy both directly and indirectly (by supporting Zoro) in combat. He can also support the crew in noncombative ways.

Sanji is a combo fighter though. That does not showcased him going all out. Unless you forgot or just missed this, it was literally shown in Arlong Park, where he easily defeated Kuroobi with ease on land. He still use multiple combos but dude was barely struggling on land. You have literally zero evidence to prove that King and Queen aren't close. I agree that bounties isn't a showcase of strength but they were never any real showcase of King being leagues above Queen. He's still stronger but based on how Queen can easily brushed off his attacks pretty much just show that they're closed to one another.
Sanji and Zoro would throw away there dream in a heartbeat in order for luffy to become pirate king, so even if zoro ambition is being the strongest swordsman and sanjis is only finding the all blue, he still tries his best so that luffy can achieve his dream.

Sanji has been my favourite character from the moment I laid my eyes on him, but as much as I love Sanji (full homo) zoro is and will probably continue to stay stronger BUT WHO CARES seriously... Something I do want to add to the portray of the two since post timeskip is that Zoro has been fighting weaker opponents then him and sanji has been fighting stronger opponents then him and the fact that zoro’s fights end in wins and sanji’s results in just brief clashes makes the perception that one is vastly stronger then the other. The new fishmen pirates were all fodder we can agree. Punk hazard sanji clashed with vergo the strongest enemy fighter while zoro fought monet, probably second weakest to ceaser. Dressrosa helps to somewhat solidify the two’s strength discreetly as sanji clashed against doffy who praised sanji’s strength, & Zoro clashed with fujitora who also acknowledged zoro’s strength. Doffy being what we the fanbase can agree as the strongest warlord second to mihawk and an admiral praised each character. But the main battle for Zoro was pica who wasn’t even doffy’s right hand as the “Heart” seat belonged to vergo
WCI sanji gets feats of dodging and intercepting commander and commander level characters, wano zoro’s portrayal catches back up by clashing with Hawkins & scoring W’s against killer, & sanji isn’t far behind with a W against Xdrake and a clash against page 1 that served as nothing more then a “Stealth Black” test for sanji. At this point sanji clashed and won against two tobi roppo with one of them just being a testing ground for his germa suit but again Definitive wins paints a better picture in portrayal so thus why fan perception is why Zoro is far above sanji
We get to onigashima & the rooftop. Zoro’s portrayal is great as hell no lie about it. Yet the rooftop was a team effort between the 5,supernova and while Zoro put in that bad ass work, things wouldn’t have gone as smooth if not for that collaboration. And I understand scarring kaido is an impressive feat but if making him bleed was enough for top tier in the verse then the scabbards would be up their too since they on multiple occasions cut & even stabbed kaido through, meanwhile on the live floor you had sanji taking on both king and queen by himself, with Marco reaching his limit at some point falling onto sanji to protect Marco & Zoro from both All Stars even after he’s already been fighting with queen. In portrayal, to me greater context matter and while I do acknowledge Zoro to be a little stronger then sanji for his feats on the rooftop I can’t disregard the fact that the scabbards who are at best slightly stronger if not weaker then a YC3 were able to clash and make a ptsd triggered kaido bleed before he poured his strength & stamina into lifting the island while fighting the supernova, vs a sanji who was holding back two commanders on his own so while there’s a gap between the two I don’t imagine it to be so astonishingly large as sanji could continue his solo fight with queen just fine and only struggled with his internal battle, after Zoro rejoined and Zoro who did struggle with king unlock Conquerors coating for the win

Also, this argument is a reason why I have issues with people arguing why Yamato is stronger than Zoro and Sanji. Yamato only able to give Kaido a slight bleed (which isn't even comparable to Zoro giving Kaido a deep wound that will cause permanent scar) and being able to survived against Kaido isn't much of a feat of strength and yet people went hogwild on how Yamato is stronger than both and not even close. The strongest case of argument they have on Yamato is that she have conq. haki (which isn't impressive considering the fact she still equal to Ace who hasn't even mastered conq. haki yet and still can't properly damage Kaido) and she can tank Kaido's attack (which is more of a durable feat). People seems to forget that Zoan's biggest strength is their high durability which makes the tanking less impressive as it's more of the ability of Mythical Zoan users as opposed to Yamato being extra durable herself. And Yamato is actively defending against Kaido and still lost. Not to mention even with advanced conq. haki, she still isn't able to remove the prism stone shackles that even Luffy who hasn't even mastered the advanced haki can easily remove it.
If sanji got sea stone heels to his shoes and future sight and gets more small increases he'll be around yonko level too I think they'll be at the same level generally through the whole series even if zoro is always shown slightly stronger.
Pre wano id say there's was a big gap between zoro and sanji but now it's become extremely small due to sanjis awakening with the top 4 ranking being luffy>>>zoro=>sanji>>jinbei

I think Sanji have better overall speed but Zoro have better overall strength and endurance (which is not equal to durability though). If this were an RPG stat sheets, Sanji invest all his point in Durability and Speed while Zoro invest all his points in Strength, Haki and Stamina.

It’s kinda makes sense because Shiki and Rocks probably had conquers haki as well and that makes the difference between Roger and Luffy to Rocks because they were able to control the conquers in their crews while rocks couldn’t. Bro king and queen were pretty much relative and sanji blitzed Queen that Queen thought sanji was invisible and even on whole cake island he was perception blitzing Oven and sanji was able to dodge katakuri attack even when he used future sight. Also in a recent chapter, SPOILER, sanji moved from one side of an island to the other, saved someone from a laser blast and ended up next to zoro without zoro noticing. Sanji launching ppl in the stratosphere! Zoro slicing up mountains! The feats are different. Hard to compare them. Unless Oda gives Sanji Armament Haki on top of the exoskeleton, Zoro is going to be able to cut him. I do wish Sanji was able to develop techniques like rankyaku and hasshoken (technique Sai used in Dressrosa). I think those would catapult Sanji into a devastating fighter.

In the color spread for chapter 1031, oda listed all the no.2s for every legit pirate crew, Zoro was showed along with Rayleigh, Ben Beckman, Marco and Katakuri to name a few. Sanji was not in that list. And by No.2 = second strongest of the crew... Why is this still a debate while oda has confirmed this himself??

I don't necessarily think that's the case, but I have similar guess as to why he didn't gave Sanji adv. Haki. It's probably because he does not want Sanji to overtake the spotlight and glory from Zoro since this is still pretty much his arc. Him using adv. conq were very cool and I think having Sanji also unlocked that will just lessen the impact. And Sanji were already having his spotlight with enhanced body and ifrit. I don't necessarily think that would make Sanji stronger than Zoro though.

Zoro has Advanced Conquerors Haki but he doesn't know what it is or how it works! He's literally a blindan spamming buttons and he's still beating King and wounding Kaido. Imagine what kind of shit he can pull off once he knows what he has and knows how to use it! Plus, he cut Kaido WITHOUT using Conquerors Haki, the only person to wound Kaido was Oden who had Advanced Conquerors Haki and knew how to use it. Plus Zoro cut Kaido, if he can cut Kaido Sanjis durability is null and void. If Zoro swings for real he's cutting ANYBODY down!
As a fan of both characters I don’t think that they are truly equal. However I do believe that they are pretty close and are rivals and even if he’s weaker Sanji has more than earned Zoro’s respect.
