This is terrific, Wink to see a restored episode of "Face the Music" as we remember a great talent in actor Ron Ely who passed away a couple of days ago. I caught first watching "Face the Music" as a child in 1989 on USA and frequent repeat airings on The Family Channel, (where YOU did game shows there: I.E.: Trivial Pursuit!). I know Ron did a very commendable job as host of this brief but successful show from Sandy Frank Productions that I totally enjoyed with its AMAZING set design by John C. Mula and the work done by Tommy Oliver and Lisa Donovan (yes overpraise, but deserved.) I would LOVE to see more restored videos of "Face The Music" if you have them," Wink. This brings back so many memories. Thanks a bunch, you are a legend!
This is a strange week for obituaries. First, Ron Ely seen here passed away. And now Jack Jones died today. They were both 86 years old. Jack was a great game player too.
This concept probably wasn't as strong as Name That Tune, but it was a much more fun show and had one of the best game show themes and intermission music anywhere. Ron wasn't nearly as smooth or glib as a Barker or Kennedy, but he had a lot of fun on this show and that made it fun to watch. Sure wish there was a clean recording of the theme without any voiceover. RIP Ron Ely.
Hey, Wink. This is Rohan speaking. First thing's first, Rest Peacefully, Ron Ely. I used to watch him on "Face The Music" in reruns on the USA Network.
Remember a few years ago when The Family Channel had their gameshow block and ran this after $100,000 Name That Tune (Lange)... Just too bad they didn't have episodes of Tom Kennedy's version, which the eras would have lined up better.
I think this host should know that this is the first Disney movie. I also remembered that this movie is on Disney plus and it's also in the program Once Upon a Studio and it was mentioned on the show Walt Disney presents.
I always thought Ron was a good host. He could be self-deprecating (like you, Wink) and had a running gag with Tommy about how bad his band was. He had a confident presence and would have made a great host on a more extended series, this one being only two seasons.
@@donaldpaluga I agree he was really good on this, I didn't know at the time watching back then who he was, I just know he did great hosting this, and deserved another game show . He made this show fun to watch.
Face the Music has always been one of my favorite game shows. Thanks for posting these.

I watched Face the Music on the Family Channel, too.
I agree. Three episodes is a microscopic fraction compared to 360.
I loved this show! Thanks for posting this Wink. RIP Ron Ely.
I loved this show, too. RIP Ron Ely.

The Love Boat Theme Dude 😥

3:22 1st round famous faces the reprise
I don't know if anyone ever had more fun hosting a game show than Ron Ely. RIP.
I remember watching this on CBN and USA in the 80s. This show ran back to back with it's Sandy Frank cousin show Name That Tune 84-85 with Jim Lange
I remember this show! It aired right alongside Let’s Make a Deal and Bullseye weekday evenings on my local station.
Oh, I miss Ron Ely. He used to host Miss America a couple of times.
He did Miss America both 1980 and 1981 before getting devoted to his wife with two daughters and a son.
This is a great game show classic and the late, great Ron Ely hosted it!!

Ron Was Great With What He was Given
Ron Ely is gone! 😢
I can't believe "Doc Savage" is gone 😢 😫 😪 😭 😔 😩. Rest In Heaven, Mister Ely💔.

That would've been amazing.
I watched it at least four times: When it first came out, on CBN, on the USA Network and on the Family Channel!

i remember this match
RIP Ron Ely that hosted this game show on television.
Hope this bunch includes when Ron was one of the pictures.
I remember seeing this for the first time on the family channel in the 90s I thought it was an interesting show. Rip Ron ely
Bring BACK this show!! ;)
To think...he actually played the TV version of Tarzan...
Every night, Jane
1966 was a good year for super heroes on television. There was Tarzan, Batman, and the Green Hornet to name a few.
I'm having MST3K flashbacks with that production card
You know, Ron Ely sounds quite a bit like Mike Darow of Jackpot and $128,000 Question fame. RIP Ron and Mike.
at 4:26 who as that song associate with?
I would have gotten her on the fourth portrait.
Damn i was just watching Episodes on my External Hard Drive of FACE THE MUSIC 🎶🎶 😥😥
I Believe They Did Jack Jones In The Second Season
What!? When did THIS come about? Ron Ely's death, I mean!
Wednesday was when his death was announced.
I remember when Ron Ely's Mom sent him in as a Clue
He was also on the famous picture round as well. You can hear him laughing in the background once they showed his face
Rest in God's peace, Ron...

Sad he never hosted another game show.
@@donaldpaluga After Face The Music, he became a "family" man.
