This is how you make a sponsored video. It's interesting, relevant to the channels theme and actually makes you want to check out the show. Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have to say, I really appreciate the effort you always go to to make your outfit (at least from the shoulders up! hehe) suit the historical style of your hair/makeup tutorial. Sort of like a modern, understated interpretation of the historical fashion. Eighteenth-century to me is the most ridiculous-looking era of fashion, but I love this video all the same!
BTW, an added note 18th Century women and men used pomade and powder to really make this look stay in place for days and even weeks. I am doing the whole pomade and powder thing to give my hair a rest with the washing and help it grow faster. It also makes doing these styles easier as well. Anyways thank you for showing how to do it.
I discovered your channel yesterday and you're so talented! I love your historical videos, but I'd love to see a hairstyle from the late 1780's-early 1790's - a bit like Caroline from the latest series of Poldark? :)
This is wonderful! I didn't realize that you had put out another 18th century hairstyle video! I'd watched your other two, the Baroque one and the Marie-Antoinette video, which was the first video of yours that I watched. I admire your patience and that you research what you're doing and offer small tidbits of history!
Hi there, nice tutorial! Just wanted to point out that eighteenth-century women didn't actually wear full wigs. That level of artifice was all male. Women would add false hair in for styling but integrate it with their own. If you want some sources I can recommend some :)
you're so talented and you look amazing!! I think you would have looked even cuter if you had let a little bit of your bangs and a few baby hair fall on your forehead, it maybe wouldn't have looked historically accurate but i'm sure it would have looked really cute on you
Hey, they have conjured up a really beautiful rococo hairstyle. My only question would be, how were curls made historically correct in the Rococo? At that time there were nice curlers. Would like to try this historical method.😊
Wow , now that’s definitely “ elaborate “ !!! Lots of excessive back combing , and hairspray, oh my. I haven’t had that much teasing since my 80’s / 90’s days . It’s really pretty though. This reminds me of Carlotta from Phantom of the Opera
I was wondering whether you could make a tutorial on backcombing as well? It may just be me, but I can never seem to do it properly! :P I love your channel sooo much!!!!
+Brandy Loutherback I discussed it originally, but this video got heavily edited down by the commissioner. I went a lot more in depth but they wanted to keep it short and snappy. I talk about (and use!) hair powder in all my other 18th century videos though! 😄
1122 33445 Last week she did a video on the make-up to this look, of course using similar pictures. But it's not a reupload... Please check in the future before reacting in such a strong way. Lucy is one of the most genuine and honest UA-camrs around, in my opinion.

U must have quite muscular arms by now! My arms already hurt when im just trying to braid 😂

oh, i love love love that hairdo!! so soft and pretty!!
Harlots was my fav tv show of 2017, so it’s really cool to see this little trio of videos talking about the style of the show, one of the best parts!

Yeah. I heard it makes the hair a lot easier to style.

I am SO happy to see your channel blow up! I've been here since 68k. Keep up the amazing work :D:D
Your video made me interested in the show and I was devastated when it was cancelled. I really wanted to see more of the lives of these ladies.
18th century hairstyles are my favorites!
Love her hair style it fits her better than the modern look. Beautiful
This turned out so well, Lucy!!! Gorgeous as ever ❤️❤️❤️
Love this hair style! I think this would be really beautiful as wedding day hair, maybe not so big in the front but it still could be really elegant
I absolutely ❤❤❤ it! You did it beautifully. One of my most favorite hairstyles of that period. You have a timeless look as well.😊 You just gorgeous.
THIS IS SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!😍😍😍😍💖💖💖
I really love the way you explain the whole process.
Thanks. Really usefull!!!!!

I have at least two more, haha 😋
Came on here for ideas to do my daughters hair for her princess party. I would love to try it!
Ha ha ha, I am so used to your previous 18th century hair tutorials that I was surprised that the first step was not pomade and powder.
oh god that's beautiful and i love the show 😍😍
Wow! Totally impressive! You are an amazing hair stylist!
This is one of my faves!! Way more attractive than the Marie Antoinette look if you ask me!
This must have taken forever to brush out!!!
I love your channel!

I would love to see Helena bonham carter's hairstyle
Bravo !
you're so talented and you look amazing!! I think you would have looked even cuter if you had let a little bit of your bangs and a few baby hair fall on your forehead, it maybe wouldn't have looked historically accurate but i'm sure it would have looked really cute on you
Such a pretty young lady!
Pretty Pretty
I love it🤗
Hey,
they have conjured up a really beautiful rococo hairstyle.

Have you seen the braided headband of Anastasia in the new Broadway musical? 😍 Could you recreate that?? 😊💗💗💗
Love it 😍
I feel so bad seeing you do that to your hair, I'm dying lol.
Awesome 😎

Wow I thought they used doughnut shaped fabric pieces under their hair to get that big height. You made it look easy.
They supplemented it with hair pieces and padding. They did not use hairspray.
I was wondering whether you could make a tutorial on backcombing as well? It may just be me, but I can never seem to do it properly! :P I love your channel sooo much!!!!
@loepsie Could you do a hairstyle tutorial inspired by itv's Vanity Fair? I adore Beccy Sharps hairstyles!
Woow that's really complicated but that looks soo amazing 😀 maybe i'll try to do it too someday 😂
You're hair is in amazing shape. Oftentimes if I do a lot of backcombing and teasing my gets damaged. How do you keep yours in such good shape?
What is the music in the background? :)
Wooooow, no hablo ingles, pero en este tema definitivamente el idioma es secundario, excelente peinado. Lindo dia 😘🇲🇽‼️
Love your videos❤!!!
I'm curious who started hair trends. During the different centuries.
Wonderful Tutorial!
How did u get ur bangs like that? I want those kind
what type of hairspray do you use?
I started off my journey watching james corden videos last night and somehow I ended up here....interesting.
Your glove is a good tool is it a normal one or there is gloves you can wear them with hair iron..
Do Henrietta Maria of France which is Charles the 1st wife
I have very straight, very fine hair. I would give my hair about one hour before it went flat and fell down. Even using hair spray and teasing it.
Girls, help me out... I know I must be too late but where can I find Hulu and this series?? I'm late to the game but never too late to learn 🤗😂😊
How long do you think that this hairdo would take to do?
واوووو جمييل ضحى من العراق l Love you❤❤❤
Nice
👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Can anyone tell me what size curling iron this uses?
Why do 18th-century hairstyles always have one loose curl on their nape? Is it a trend or something?
elsa hair ! ❤
make a Libuše Šafránková tutorial ! you look like her !!
Lady Sybil! Don't tell me this is what you left Downton for! Not that the show doesn't seem interesting, it does, but still.
I hope you deep conditioned your hair after all that teasing lol. Looks amazing!
I am from Iraq and I love you very much
That's smart where a protectant Glove
You are so beautiful, like a princess! 😳
I love these hairstyles but I won't ever back comb my hair - I work too hard to keep it healthy and breakage free
This hairstyle reminds me of Claude's hair from the show Reign
ThatCitrusFriend I don’t see it
Did you know they did have hair powder in the 18th Century?
+Brandy Loutherback I discussed it originally, but this video got heavily edited down by the commissioner. I went a lot more in depth but they wanted to keep it short and snappy. I talk about (and use!) hair powder in all my other 18th century videos though! 😄
I just thought that was very interesting! Sort of like rainbow hair fads now!
