I have the complete DVD set of Airwolf and I enjoy watching it over and over and over again like I said before and I'll say it again no one can replace Stringfellow Hawke and Dominic Santini no one
Since Airwolf & Blue Thunder. I dont think theres ever been another helicopter show since. Wish they'd come up with something or bring Airwolf back. Or make a movie "Airwolf vs Blue thunder". I'd pay to watch that.
Ahh the bell-222 if only possible, but you gotta admit some people out there actually believed it existed. Some prob think mach in a helicopter is possible still 😂🤣
ok something I noticed about Airwolf shooting the missiles killing the enemy aircraft. It's shooting Mavericks which are originally air to ground missiles. 😄
@@johnbower7452 Naa man. There's only one Maverick missile and that's for air to ground engagements by radar guidance (think they have a laser guided version of it too? 🤔) . Then again, it was the "cheesy 80's" where you could make an ass out of people who don't know all this shit. So it's all cool anyways! 👍 😂

@@FLJBeliever1776 For maybe ordinary helis, probably would work. But for more fast and manoeuvrable targets like a fighter jet or even another clone of Airwolf, this would be a really bad choice. The AGM-86 mavericks are too bulky and not designed to be manoeuvrable enough to take on a fighter jet unless it's already battle damaged then maybe you can finish it off then with it.
Good job the bad guy missed, if he had hit airwolf at that close range he would have been caught/flown into the explosion. That still doesn’t answer the question as to how the bloody hell he missed in the first place.
Although they use RC models most of the footage that you actually see in the show is the real aircrafts. I meet two of the people involved in the production of the series and they explained that was one the reason why it had a short life( the TV show), it was extremely expensive to shoot (fuel, maintenance and the appropriate personnel) for a TV's show. Also then Jan-Michael Vincent personal problems with alcohol brought down their demise. Still a well loved and remembered show.

@@dogwalker666 all of that is true, plus almost all of Air Wolf's moves were speed up on film to increase the apparent speed, maneuverability and agility of the helo. Nothing ever built can actually do what Air Wolf did on film. Awesome flying, scenery and battle sequences!

Haha how looks that 😝 I wouldn’t of known that 😜 thanks for watching dude 🙌🏼
It came out of a tube though; so likely not an actual Maverick missile; just the name of the weapons system on Airwolf.

I often wondered where the room for the guns came from when the undercarriage were retracted.. It’s a very small area.. Still a great show though
Awesome show for it’s time be great if they did a re make of it I think still wouldn’t beat the old actors though 🙂 thanks for watching.

Slight typo in the title. Should read UH1

Yeah..riiiight.. the Hughes 500 can do 350 mph…sure. 600 mile range, too.
Story was about a Supersonic Stealth Combat Helicopter designed to resemble a Civilian Helicopter.
