Vegas Pro 17 had MP3s working FINE until now for no reason. I really don't want to have to convert every single MP3 to get it to work. Is there a more permanent solution to fix this rather than having to convert?
@@Spawayz To fix this, close vegas completely. Navigate to your desktop, hold ctrl + shift and double-click on vegas and you should see this pop up: prnt.sc/rejkc3 Check the box and click yes. You won't lose any of your plugins either.
I don't get it. The software worked fine on one laptop, but when I bought a $500 laptop to better complete my work, it no longer plays the same MP3 files on the older, crappier laptop. Help!

The .WAV files works fine but they're a lot heavier than .MP3 for my little proyects, What can I do?

My Sony Vegas always opened mp3, and it just stopped working, it happens the second time I use it (after installation) :(

Hey man! im having the exact same problem but there's no "so4" nor "compound reader". Any ideas? ive tried instaling again and nothing.

Disruption Edits No... I couldn't find anything. I ended using .WAV files with a online format Converter from my .MP3 files to .WAV files, Sorry!

You hold down the shift key before pressing on Preferences in the options tab. Just in case you didn't figure it out yet.
