Hi Munirul, in your model, double click 'step', in the popup select 'Incrementation' tab, then for 'type' select 'automatic'. Finally, run the simulation again.

Hi there, by any chance do you know to resolve the error "ABAQUS/standard rank 0 encountered a SEGMENTATION FAULT" ? My job is aborting and this seems to be the only discernible fault.
@@mailcharitha I'm not familiar with VUMAT but I imagine it is similar enough to UMAT, which is what I've used. There will be some sort of error in your VUMAT. Make sure that you have defined, initialised and appropriately used all of your terms. Also, make sure that each line of your VUMAT is succinctly short. I think that if any line is too long, the rest of it after a particular cut-off point will not be recognised.

The database cannot be opened at this time. Analysis Input File Processor exited with an error." kindly help to get over it.
Hi, it means that the job is still running. You have to terminate it to run again. It can happen that the job is complete but the '.temp' file is not deleted as expected (This gives Abaqus the idea that the job is still running). You can try deleting the 'temp' file for the Job-1 and check if it solves the issue.

Okay but what to do after finding the error node or elements in the results, to converge the problem should they be removed/ replaced???

It sounds misplaced keyword. Find ‘*step’ in the input file and check if your keyword is placed in a line somewhere after that
