Recorder orchestras really do sound a lot like an organ. One difference I notice is that the very low recorders are a lot quieter than the low notes of an organ, even when many low recorders are working together. An organ playing loud low notes makes the ground shake. This gives a different sound profile, with a lot less low end for the recorder orchestra than the organ. Lovely performance, by the way. I'd love to be in a recorder group that could this, but the quintet I play in isn't large enough and doesn't have anything lower than a basset.
Thank you so much! Indeed, the low register the Recorders is much weaker than the high register. Unfortunately this is an older recording of our orchestra, and we had no professional recording equipment. We are planning a new professional recording in the future.

Great performance. It would have been interesting to be there listening live as I’m not sure the recording does justice to the lower parts such as bass and contrabass. The sopranino is a true coloratura range instrument.😊
