I appreciate how informative, and well put together, your videos are; I learn something new with each video and the aesthetic of each one is great as well. Also, I think it is so interesting how different combinations of different odorants can smell similar to each other (and how the brain perceives them as similar or the same).

Great video. I actually wore all amber scents last week. My favorite amber is Armani Prive Ambre Eccentrico.
Tis definitely the season for the ambers, and there are so many good ones out there. 114 is beautiful stuff, need a bottle. And of course SL Ambre Sultan is very addictive, love it. Think I tried Mona di Orion’s too, very nice and unisex. Enjoyed being schooled again gorgeous, hadn’t heard of several. ❤️😘

My favourite would have to be Battaniye by Pekji. It's a very cozy and calming amber with a wool accord that gives it's name (translated to blanket) an apt meaning.

I know you're going to be in shock 😱 I've not actually tried that Kilian Oud... I think I've only tried 4 from that collection. But it does sound very lovely. And I have the Bon 302 and I really love it. Glad Grand Soir was there or it I'd be writing a letter of complaint 🤣. Love the new fringe too, suites you mate. Fab video as always

That vintage vibe in Ambre 114 is certainly there. For someone just getting into ambers it may be a bit much. I really like it though. Cheers for that Simon Pegg meme! 🤣
Liking your new hairstyle
I seem to have quite a few fragrances that have amber in their scent profile, but generally tucked away in the base notes to sweeten and add depth. The one fragrance I have which features amber, front and centre, is Chopard's Amber Malaki. It's very pleasant, not particularly striking, but slightly sweet, a gentle spiciness and warm with a slight woody tone to it.

Some of my favorite amber scents are: Ambre Precieux, Ambre Fetiche, Ambre Loup, Amber Eccentrico and Amber from Omnia Profumi. Amber Absolute is great as well.

Need more than one time use. Le Participe passé is classified as amber, I think, and I find it a resinous, sweet, dried fruit and dark. Love it!
Great vid i was hoping u would make an amber list! I love Grand Soir so much too. Ambre 114 is one that has caught my eye as well. Bon Parfumeur I've also been interested in. Have u tried Chopard Amber Malaki or Boucheron Ambre D'Alexandrie? I havent tried them but they are affordably priced and seem like they may be good. Thanks Clemence. Take care.

Clemence, you must try Ambre Passion by Laura Mercier. I believe it’s discontinued but can easily be found, I have a sample from eBay. It’s a BEAUTIFUL feminine powdery amber. Also, Boyfriend by Kate Walsh! It’s a celebrity scent, not too expensive, and such a gorgeous myrrh perfume. I think you would like both.

There is a new Avon frangrance, Ambre Ardent, created by Rodrigo Flores-Roux (Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, Neroli Portofino) and I think it is AMAZING for the price, warm and spicy, really surprising ;)

Absolue Pour Le Soir was an amber which was superior to Grand Soir, but he doesn’t make it anymore, and I’ve only got about 3ml of it left in my bottle. I regret not buying back-up bottles!

How do they classify “Amber” fragrances that are not sweet? I’m not a big fan of Syrupy sweet Ambers, (Heavy Benzoin or Vanilla) which tend to lean towards Gourmand territory. Spicy Fragrances such as Tobacco Vanille, Black Phantom, Carlisle, or Oajan have become favorites during colder months.
Try Amber Absolutely by Fort&Manley (If you haven't already); It's so good, it's like Aventus and Million Lucky had a Niche child with really high-class ingredients.

Do you believe fragrances is an “art?”
Of course. It's a creative expression of our imagination experienced by our senses and make us feel things or paint a picture in our minds. Music = ears, paintings and photos = eyes. Fragrances = nose. Even food is an art form, but generally seen as more "profane" I suppose, an everyday necessity.
A fougere fragrance for example is the imagined smell of the scentless fern.
