@@oabh1808 Was this rant directed at me? If it was, I'm not convinced of any super natural claim, since there isn't any evidence to support them. Same goes for Tarot readings.
Whether you believe in this or not, you can not deny the cohesiveness of all 3 of their pulls. They were all VERY beginning, middle, and end. Shaynes really impressed me because even his pictures (starting with a swamp, to a lake, and then to the open ocean) told a story of rebirth in a way. Of letting go, finding your path, and then flourishing in it. It was truly an awesome deck, Amanda! Great job leading the reads! Now I have to convince my hubby to buy me one since I can't get it myself haha
I’m so happy they’re talking about tarot and not in a negative light! I’m 18 and I’ve been pulling tarot for around 2 years but most of the people my age that I have told view tarot as silly and stupid even if I tell them it is important to me and I hope they can respect that.
And yet hers is the least watched ep. Which makes me so livid. Cause the numbers will be the end all be all with how much they have her on. Mych like the friday smosh games channel. But ill watch anytime she shows up. ❤

Jackie was the perfect guest for this; her reactions and energy were much appreciated! Also the Priestess absolutely looks like Jackie! Cool that everyone’s readings felt very cohesive. Also with Shayne’s cards progressively going more into the water, I couldn’t help but think about the stories of him having almost drowned haha 😅
I loved all of this. First, excited to learn more about Amanda. But I HAVE to say, Jackies energy for Shaynes pulls put me in mind of those third party compilations of "Jackie & Shayne being best friends" vids. She's SO intensely excited for his pulls, almost above her own.
As a pagan witch I loved this episode. The whole buying ur own deck is sort of a myth. I always say Tarot and oracle readings are basically all about interpretation and making connections! (Every suit in Tarot is tied to an element, so I love that this deck embodies that)
My favourite way to explain tarot to haters who don’t understand is that tarot is like a therapist saying something that makes you realize something about yourself. Tarot cards are just cards until you do the work to apply them to your situations. It’s the same way advice is just words until you realize that the advice can help you solve a problem. Your spiritual beliefs can tie into tarot, but tarot isn’t inherently magickal unless you personally see that in it.
Did anyone else pick up on the last card in shaynes reading being a SHAPESHIFTER!! A literal being of change?!?! Like after following this path he will become a being of transformation

I randomly bought a pack of tarot cards online and it came with a box and a little booklet with all the meanings of the cards. While I was greatly interested at the time, it quickly was met with disappointment when I realized I had no one else to read with or connect with since most people in my class find it silly or straight up dumb. That and the fact that I barely had any time, my interest quickly faded. This video literally made me pull out my cards after months of not using them and the readings were scarily accurate (for the past and present anyway)
I've always been told youre not supopsed to buy your *first* deck. They find their way to you if/when they're meant to. I was gifted my first deck by an ex and to this day, that deck is always the most No-BS when it comes to a reading. After that, it's free game to buy any deck that speaks to you. Thanks for coming to my woo-woo corner. ✌
This is looking like an interesting episode so far! Speaking of doing things that help give introspection, have you guys thought about taking personality tests on here?
Buy your own deck. Nothing wrong with that. But there is something special about a gifted deck.. Really cool to see a topic like this on a smosh channel. Love Tarot and spirituality. Would be very happy to see more videos like this! ❤️
Throughout Shayne's reading all of his cards had something to do with water and I couldn't stop thinking about ATLA and uncle Iroh talking about how "Water is the element of change". That was a huge theme for him and all the cards he pulled. Love this.
Takes me back to the video of Shayne and Courtney getting a rune reading. I'm a huge skeptic, but I can see the advantages to doing something like this, if only for self reflection
Tarot is just also really good for self analysis as well. I do a daily draw and then basically kind of sit and look at the card, what it makes me feel in that moment, what the card is supposed to mean and ask myself if any of it applies. Today I drew and it was 4 of Swods in the upright, it looked peaceful and rest was the major thing I kept seeing and when I read its interpretation in meant the same thing. Quite frankly, yeah, I have been feeling worn down at work and just life, it was constant waking up going to work sleep and I asked when I really just "had fun" the last time, even as simple as just sitting and playing a video game. So I went ahead and put in my vacation time for the year, I don't have anything planned, I'll see what comes my way, I may just do a staycation and catch up on said back log of games I haven't touched.
the thing of “you shouldnt buy your own deck” isnt real. If you could only do tarot because you need to be gifted a deck then not many people would get into tarot. I think its just as meaningful to research and buy your own deck
I'm not hard of hearing, but I gotta give a HUGE thumbs up for posting with captions available immediately. I use captions to make sure I'm hearing what I thought I was while I'm doing loud stuff like dishes, and I'm sure it's helpful for people who need them, so I wanted to say thanks!
@@BenAstridge but some videos on other channels come out without captions, and don't have then for several hours or days afterwards, which means that automated option can be turned on or off in favour of manmade captions, so I appreciate that they don't make people wait for captions that's all :)

Not sure if they are gonna see this, but the Hedgehog could be referencing the Hedgehog's Dilemma. Hedgehogs that want to be close to each other in the long winter to share body heat, but will hurt each other because of their spines. The card could be saying that Jackie still needs to define a new boundary, or redefine an older one that was established from pure self-defence.
It’s so interesting to watch Jackie’s pull after the announcement that she’s leaving. So bummed but so fkn happy for her. The universe is holding her hand
I wanted to mention re: Jackie’s card with the hedgehog - there is a situation called the Hedgehog’s conundrum (referenced in Evangelion) that states that it is hard for “hedgehog” people to get close to others because the closer you get, the more you can be hurt by the spikes of the other So if you stay curled up in your ball, you keep yourself safe from harm but you also are keeping others away
Hedgehogs roll into themselves for protection. The hedgehog may not be the important part of the card. The fact that the hedgehog is unrolled means it feels safe.

It's a lot easier to be a cynic; it takes work and critical thinking to be a good skeptic (thus the phrase, "healthy skepticism.")
@@oabh1808 Was this rant directed at me? If it was, I'm not convinced of any super natural claim, since there isn't any evidence to support them. Same goes for Tarot readings.
I like how this was the origin of Smosh Mouth
finally found this comment.
Shaynes feels like his reading is his career path from starting in Hollywood to finding his place in Smosh and where that is now taking him.
Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking
50:26 Jackie accidently creates the name of the show lol
And yet hers is the least watched ep. Which makes me so livid. Cause the numbers will be the end all be all with how much they have her on. Mych like the friday smosh games channel. But ill watch anytime she shows up. ❤
Omg this was so fun to watch! I also didn’t know this about Amanda so it’s cool to learn more about her. The tarot deck was beautiful and the writing was great too.
I love how excited Jackie gets for Shayne's turn 🤣
You mean... an actor?
It's all about Fernie!!!
Okay but what does a shapeshifter have to do with Shayne?
@@brittanymartinez8276I literally thought the same thing!!! He specifically wanted to be a Druid to shapeshift cause he loves animals and he saw the new Transformers movie and thought of Fernie. My boi must be craving change right now
He is the Shayneshifter. He shall return Shayneged.
My witchy self is very happy with this episode ✨
8:38 the psychic Shayne brought up is Sylvia Browne! She actually incorrectly predicted her own death lol.
she also used to preach about how she felt it was “immoral” to charge people to use her psychic abilities but then went on to charge over $700 for a phone call reading in which the waitlist was something like 4 years? Absolutely insane woman who did a lot of harm to a lot of people
I also love how Amanda's favorite number correlates with her cards, because 555 means that change is coming!
the fact that the podcast ends on 1:11:24 is crazy. With the angel number AND the fact that today is july 24!?? HMMMMMMM
This was so much fun and I would love to see more of this :)
Dude this tarot deck author sat down with Anthony on his channel a year ago! If that’s not the universe dude!
@@oabh1808 lol?
Witch here! Tarot is so so fun. Don’t worry about knowing the “right” way to read, tarot is extremely personal. I hope you start using your deck :)
I’ve been waiting for an episode with Jackie ever since they brought back smoshcast! 🥹
I think Amanda should do readings for the whole cast asap lol
YESS
This is looking like an interesting episode so far!
Speaking of doing things that help give introspection, have you guys thought about taking personality tests on here?
Shout out to Jackie’s adorable laugh and Amanda’s passion energy and gender inclusive language 🥹
Jackie’s outfits are always top notch, love her energy as always ❤
For new tarot readers, *usually* Water=Cups, Air=Swords, Fire=Wands, and Earth=Pentacles. This was such a fun episode 😊
I usually hear Air=Wands and Fire=Swords
when amanda asked what does a hedgehog do, I could just feel shayne mouthing "they roll around at the speed of sound"
Buy your own deck. Nothing wrong with that. But there is something special about a gifted deck..
Really cool to see a topic like this on a smosh channel. Love Tarot and spirituality. Would be very happy to see more videos like this! ❤️
Jackie is so cool. This group is a whole vibe
“Magic is afoot” ✨ currently binging episodes where Jackie’s in them because I miss her already, but I’m so happy for the things coming her way 🧡
Wait, isn’t that Jackie cards actually matching to what happened to her?
I love this episode so much! I miss Jackie and hope she comes back as a guest every now and then! Lovr you guys❤
This video doesn't have caption yet, shut up bot
Just so you know, the captions are totally automated. AI listens to the speech in the video and captions it on youtube.
@@BenAstridge but some videos on other channels come out without captions, and don't have then for several hours or days afterwards, which means that automated option can be turned on or off in favour of manmade captions, so I appreciate that they don't make people wait for captions that's all :)
@@BenAstridgeMany videos have auto generated captions but some channels take the time to upload manually created ones -- luckily this video has the latter (which is great because they're always more accurate)
*"Gotta Blast!"* -Sonic the Hedgehog
when jackie is in a video i know i'll have a good time
Not sure if they are gonna see this, but the Hedgehog could be referencing the Hedgehog's Dilemma. Hedgehogs that want to be close to each other in the long winter to share body heat, but will hurt each other because of their spines. The card could be saying that Jackie still needs to define a new boundary, or redefine an older one that was established from pure self-defence.
Also shaynes last card being about re reading your favorite stories? The man who is constantly reading?! Phenomenal.
Jackie: I don’t know why I’m so emotional?!
Me: *in tears throughout this whole video* 😅
Yooooo I forgot that Jackie was the one who named SmoshMouth
Literally LOVE all videos with Jackie!
It’s so interesting to watch Jackie’s pull after the announcement that she’s leaving. So bummed but so fkn happy for her. The universe is holding her hand
I love this kinda stuff I’d love to see Amanda do more tarot readings
‘Smoshmouth’ great band name 😂This was soo interesting!! Thank you to Amanda for sharing.
I wanted to mention re: Jackie’s card with the hedgehog - there is a situation called the Hedgehog’s conundrum (referenced in Evangelion) that states that it is hard for “hedgehog” people to get close to others because the closer you get, the more you can be hurt by the spikes of the other
So if you stay curled up in your ball, you keep yourself safe from harm but you also are keeping others away
I'm also a tarot reader and this podcast made me so excited!!!! PLEASE do a follow-up sometime down the line and see how accurate your readings were!!
Hedgehogs roll into themselves for protection. The hedgehog may not be the important part of the card. The fact that the hedgehog is unrolled means it feels safe.
Is anybody else coming back to this later to see if anything checks out
I enjoyed this, thank you. My g-ma used to tell me be open minded, but not so open your brain falls out lol. I love honest discourse.
