The young goats are great eating - the meat isn't dry like venison either. Don't under rate it! The cullers are in my backdoor larder in the northern Remutakas because there's not enough people making use of this great resource. The meat will be just left to rot when people are going hungry. I give a lot away too.
Also fantastic adventure for taking the kids out and getting them into hunting.
True, I will not feed all of it to the dog next time :)
Hay mate could I ask a favour? If possible, Next time your down that way hunting, could you head east along the beach, towards the lake/spit and video an old white/blue Bach that's all alone in the middle of no where, I would love to know if it's still standing or not?, Cheers an thankyou.

You will be fine eating venison out of the Rimutaka's now. It's been 2 months and it's had over 300mm of rain. 100mm of rain and the baits are useless. If they are still standing now they will be safe for you and your family to eat. Just don't take dog's in as they might find rotting carcasses.
