I am a native Texas, I have been to this renfair Many times. It is 100% worth going, but if you go, you need a full weekend because you will never see everything in one day. Get the Kings Feast, and you will have the best time ever!!

I’ve been attending this faire since I was 3, working it since i was 16. This 2023 season will be my 11th season working! Because of this festival I can now say Im following my heart and doing festivals full time now! I love watching these videos and playing lwhere’s Waldo” with my friends lol.
Went this weekend. Had an awesome time. It is on my Yearly to do list. So much fun.
Other tips, be prepared to spend a lot of money. Many things are very well crafted, so the prices are understandable.
Also, since the vendors are from all over the country, your bank might think there's a fraud occurrence, suspending your account. We've had to let our bank know ahead of time, in order to avoid this.
If you're planning to wear a corset, know that going to the bathroom is a project. And loosen it in stages when you're ready to take it off for the day. Better for your back.
I got my first nosebleed here from the dust, so fyi.
And, if you stay for the fireworks, be prepared for a very, very slow departure. Personally, I think the show is worth it.
Also, if the King's Feast is still a thing, you might like to go at least once.

I am going for the first time this year. I believe the King's feast is $200-300 per person. I really wish it were in my budget, but that is a bit much for us. We will maybe do some camping, tastings, high tea and the escape rooms instead and stretch the enjoyment out over our visits. So excited!!!
Native Texan (57 years young), Plantersville is a 30-minute drive from my home and I have yet to make this event, while I have made the Dickens On The Strand event more times that I can remember. I will definitely be making a trip out to Plantersville (Todd Mission) this November.
The night events are awesome. But they do get very wild! Find a local rennie next time you take a trip there. They'll show you everything you ought to see. I'll be heading out to camp again for the 5th time this season. Can't get enough of TRF!

i went in about 2015 to help a friend set up booth and run it. it was the greatest 2 day trip i had ever took. i still tell stories to my 3 boys about it.
Love Ren fest. We go every year. I obviously go as bane on heros and villains weekend maybe ill see you out there.
Make sure to see the Insulter and even pay him to target a friend to insult...it's great stuff!!
I love TRF! I always try to go at least once a year, and camp. I used to go every weekend many moons ago, but unfortunately it's too expensive nowadays for me to do so. Hope you had fun! Huzzah!!!
Grew up going to the RenFest for many years, and plan to go back this year. This was a great video and the host was awesome as well!

The one outside LA is jaw dropping. With 3000 extras in costume. Full of gorgeous people. Lots of tight bodices too lol. Tyler one looks fun

We're going for Celtic Christmas too! We bought camp passes for the weekend. It's gonna be a blast. We've camped that weekend before. It's really cool because it's a long weekend and lots of camps decorate. Love me some Celtic Christmas.
@@sarahferguson0 awesome! I have always wanted to go because christmas is my favorite holiday and i have celtic ancestry. We decided not to go last year because of the pandemic but I am so happy that we get to go after Thanksgiving!

It's mostly because there's about 4-5 million people in Houston and more if you count the surrounding people. But yea it's the largest in the world. Not just the u.s.

yes, holograms, light displays, headsets, microphones, amplifiers, styrofoam school lunch trays, these were all common in 1592.
Stay away. This is absolutely not worth it especially if you've been once before. It has become an overpriced Tourist trap. What once was fun is not anymore as they needle you for every dime they can.
When I think of Renaissance Fairs, I just think of a lot of overweight women in their 20s and 30s with their cleavage showing. And fat dudes with scraggly beards.
