Tom P That’s a fascinating coincidence that I never would have picked up on. But yeah, he was going for JP. Easy mistake considering all of Williams’ scores are pretty much the same.
What happened was, you had to left click and press D to take the food away from the dog, then a round 2 happened where the controls were opposite and left click + D was to give up while left click + A was to continue taking the food away. Bad game design if you ask me, but loving the story so far and I can't wait to find out what this all means in the end. (You can see this at 3:02)
Yeah, i think they wanted to both prevent accidental choices with the double press and make you read the text each time to consider what you were doing. But the better way to do that is to add button propmts as time goes on, as well as make it pressing htem in order rather than at the same time, like D (arrow pointing left) Left click, with the next being D (arrow) left click (arrow) space bar. Also, add a 5 second window where you can't put in a button prompt, along with a timer (though its possible they wanted hesitation to be an unconsidered factor, so left one out) so you have time to read it and know how long.
Actually watching the video finally - and I got really invested so here is what i think has been happening for the past few parts so potential spoilers ahead if im right? The main charcter, that you guys were playing is James, and glitcho is actually Lilly: The director lured the two children onto the boat, or possibly they wondered onboard by themselves out of fear of their parents(s) (?). In one of the notes it said only one was (x) enough to play (Lilly) and only one is broken enough to write (James) a brilliant due that rose to the top. Since you guys are "developing" a character it would make sense for you guys to be James in this scenario. I believe Lilly died, and the director making you remember is actually sending you through the boat all over again, finding old items and areas the two went and found as kids, the voices being memories. Lilly being James' "everything," her death would have obviously traumatised James so he repressed all the memories with her as a coping mechanism, subconsciously knows there is a reason not to remember but since he doesnt even know her name any more, his brain tries to repress the memories again, that is what glitcho is.
Would be good to hear some of your theories in the next episode to get some better ideas of what the plot is. I think all that’s putting people off is the game not making very much sense at this point, hard to know where it will go next, I am throughly enjoying it though, keep it up Tom and Simon! Plus I’m sure more people will come back when they think the play through is completed for a binge watch.
This game is really dragging on and nothing seems to be being revealed and it's the same spooks every time. If it weren't for Simon and Tom I'd have stopped watching by now.
i love watching tom and simon play horror games and every time i come and watch a series and they stop it mid game it makes me sad cuz i want to know how the game ends and stuff if i started watching the series
I don't blame them for stopping here, the games really not been very compelling in any way. Still I'd like to see the conclusion to see if ANY of this ends up making sense.
@@brainflash1 I agree that James is the player character. Given what we've read, I imagine he's always been a little mentally unstable due to his repressed guilt and this director, who we know is supposedly a bit of a maverick, probably pushed him too far (either deliberately or by accident). What we're seeing now could be considered a psychotic break. What I'm not clear on is what he's guilty of exactly. My first thought is that they almost starved having snuck aboard a ship and, having found food, his sister tried to take it for herself, so he killed her out of desperation. He also possibly ate her, as evidenced by all the animals with bites taken out of them and in the audio reel he mentions her being with him "forever" But then again, he clearly has some kind of relationship with this woman who stars in films with him. At one point I recall her saying how he'd be nothing without her, so it's possible she's his sister. Or even an hallucination. Either way, I think the idea that he killed her, either deliberately or otherwise, we can say for certain.
Lily tells James she'll solve their starvation problem (7:54). Shortly after (14:08) we enter the room of the Black Wanderer (what Lily calls herself) where someone seems to be hanging themselves. I think she, as a final solution, sacrificed herself for James to eat and from this point she's all in james' head. He then murders more of the crew and eats them and slowly evolves into the monster the director spoke of in the first episodes, the monster that nowadays is past tense but occasionally manifests as Glitcho whenever James as an adult experiences PTSD.
I feel like the main character is the little kid, James, and that he's probably lost his sister or really was a murder kid with her by shoving a cable in that poor dude's bathtub, and now he has to escape that past or something so he detaches himself from his roots by becoming a new character in a role?
I'm really enjoying this series. I'm not usually good with spooks but this isn't too spooky for me. I figured the actor was probably the boy a few episodes ago, but it'll be interesting to see if I'm wrong. I wouldn't play this game though, and I'm watching more for Tom and Simon than for the game.
12:55 I saw T2 when I was five years old. It didn't bother me at the time, but ever since then, whenever I had a bad fever I would see a nightmare with elements of the nuclear blast scene. I'd either have precognition of an impending nuclear holocaust and nobody would believe me, or I'd be watching from a detached view as everything and everyone I love turned into radioactive ash. I haven't been bedridden with a fever in years, but I fear that if I did get sick, it would all come back to me.
legit no idea what is happening tbh, I think the brother and Sister were starving and she eventually died from that because she would feed him instead of herself. The actor is prob the little boy
I think one of the biggest problems with this game is it seems like 99% of what you see is figurative and most people take it at face value/literally when almost none of it is. Oh that, and the god awful "gameplay" parts they shoehorned in because people complained the first one didnt have enough "gameplay" when Layers of Fear never needed gameplay
Yeah the series is getting a bit stale for me. It’s 100% the game. It’s “Boring, Depressing Arthouse Film: The Game” it’s not scary at all and it goes on forever without anything happening at all.
8:50 Simon: it's the Holy Grail!
Tom: *hums Jurassic Park theme*
I think he was going for this: ua-cam.com/video/U1Zv39Dee1w/v-deo.html
Tom P That’s a fascinating coincidence that I never would have picked up on. But yeah, he was going for JP. Easy mistake considering all of Williams’ scores are pretty much the same.
sounds like the Holy Grail theme to me
In the killing joke, the Joker also tells batman a joke about people using light as a bridge to walk from one building to another.
More specifically 2 insane men using light as a bridge.
@@AGD_27 Batman and the Joker are both kinda insane.
What do you think I am? Crazy? You'd turn it off when I was half way across!
I would really appreciate if at least one of the narratives started making any sense. But I'm feeling confident, with the Riddle Bros at the helm!
What happened was, you had to left click and press D to take the food away from the dog, then a round 2 happened where the controls were opposite and left click + D was to give up while left click + A was to continue taking the food away. Might not be doing well, but I am enjoying this a LOT.

Damn, guess that’s the end of that one, just when I thought it was starting to come together.

The first one felt much better imo
Couldn’t agree more, I’ve watched all of these so far and I’ve genuinely no idea what’s going on!

1:38 Lol, Spock said the exact opposite of that.
Don't stop this series please, I've been looking forward to it since LoF2 released!!!!
Absolutely loving this, i remember eagerly awaiting each episode release of LOF1, and now again i look each day to see if a new episode is up.
Loving the commentary. It would be really great to see a third season of They Are Billions too.
The hero we don't deserve.
You only went and did it.
Tom has only one goal as a stowaway and that is to waste as much water as possible
You cannot stop this series
10:47 You got me over the edge there!
...I'm beginning to think the developers weren't even trying to make another horror game
Yeah the first one was way scarier
its a narrative like any play lol. not hard to figure out
This game has waaaay too much grayscale, I'd like to see some colour for more then 20% of the game.
Simon It's like the end of Fight Club!
Achievement: We don't talk about it...
I hope you guys finish this one. I'm really enjoying it.
I don't blame them for stopping here, the games really not been very compelling in any way. Still I'd like to see the conclusion to see if ANY of this ends up making sense.
Without anybody spoiling me, is it weird that I'm getting the feeling James....ate his sister?
I'm guessing James grew-up into the player character. Now he's trying to get into a new role by exercising his guilt over getting his sister killed.
@@brainflash1 I agree that James is the player character. In light of the lack of Battlebois, I hope for more Spooky bois soon!
I'd love to see the end, but mainly to see if actually starts to make sense story wise.
Spooky times for Spooky Boys should be a theme for a series of videos
Respect for the Sepultura reference! :D
Another unfinished series. It's really frustrating how much this happens. Too much abandoning stuff that isn't getting enough views. I need closure.
Why is this not doing well? I'm loving this!
9:20 expected Godzilla (1998) reference

Good news ! They're gonna get the best ending ( didn't say the happy one, said the best one )
8:50 For some reason, I was expecting a Yogventures money joke.
The center of the Bloody Roots reel case shows Yggdrasil; the life tree.
The ACTUAL reason that you are not to take your bag, is so that you do not block up the (usually) only escape route for others.
Simon quoted a Linkin Park song!😂
Please keep going with this game!
Observer had the same mechanics at some point...
Also might be something you want to play.. it's very weird but has also some chase elements sadly
Please finish the game! We love the Riddle Bros
Love these videos tom!
01:54 Spock Quote: "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few"
I'm enjoying this and want to see more pls
are the lights suppose to be the guards looking for them's flashlight? if stand in it to long, you'll get caught
I definitely wish it was more of a horror narrative.
I definitely want more!
Hey a shoutout to me, the one the only, cyclops slayer

Riddle Bros fuck yeah
I wish you guys had finished this :(

Simon should play Innocence: A Plagues Tale next.
Starving dogs and children?! I'm not sure I can continue, sorry Tom.
please play through the woods
I like Tom
Does anybody have any idea about what is going on in this game?
It’s not you Tom, it’s the game.
Sounds like this is narrated by Marco Pierre White or some thing
like for the rat

how the fck do they make so many film references??? i've seen all of the films they referenced but dont remember a single scene they shown at all.
Not a horror game anymore , just an artsy storytelling experiment
mmooaarr
pls more dads
This game is pretentious AF, 8 episodes in and still no idea what it's all about and on top of that it isn't even scary, no wonder Tom gave up.
Ey witness the fitness!
Bam!
Here’s Glitcho!
I wan more!
This game isn't very spooky for a spooky game.
Shame
Yeah, I would not trust the narrator. He sounds like the kind of guy that would eat the last Jaffa Cake instead of sharing.
Did the nuclear blast part remind anyone else of the game Inside?
Pow!

dude dont even look at the controls lol

not the biggest fan of the sister
After that recording they found, I hope it's not gonna turn out the sister HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 15 YEARS!!!
So I missed a few episodes. Not sure it matters lol.
boo

This game makes no sense to me 😐
