This is probably the best visual, best explanatory tutorial on junk journaling that I've ever seen. The colors used, the simplicity of creating beautiful pages was relaxing to watch. I never would have thought about using eyelets to help bind a junk journal. It's very true about starting small. There is a lot to be said for the immediate gratification a smaller journal brings.

It was/is really hard to fold a map up neatly after opening it fully open. Oh the joy though, of seeing where you had been and where you were going. Anything goes in a junk journal and that is the beauty 🦋. Sometimes we have only snippets, use them. Somes 12×12 paper, so cut it to size. Texture, colour, and patterns! There is as you say a whole world out there. 🌹

Absolutely, and only by practicing do we discover all of that. 😊🌸

Thank you! I believe I am from your generation because I always put map pages in my journals. When I give them away, it's mostly to children and they need to see real maps! I also love the paper bags. Reminds me of the days when we had to cover our school books.

Beautiful Journal, Chantal… it’s got such a lovely, romantic, vintage lushness to it… It was so enjoyable watching you create the pages and your experience made the pages come together without a lot of trial and error. I am so impressed with how organized you are and love rummaging through those clear drawers with you!
Now that I’ve been determined to be creative in some way everyday this year, I’m enjoying doing a variety of crafty activities. I finished the 5x8 journal of Marta’s 20 books and look forward to starting her Jumbo Card Challenge (I bought the cards from amazon). I finally completed a page in my 9x12 Dylusions journal that I hadn’t worked in since last May - 4 more pages to go to complete it and since I started it Jan-2020, 5 years is long enough to have an active art journal! =) I’ve been saving window envelopes and any kind of interesting mail since I started watching your junk journal videos with the idea of someday creating your style of journal… although there’s a few other things I’m hoping to do first that I’ve been putting off… I finally stopped saving the envelopes since I have a ton of them at the ready. I’ll have to check into some of those digital papers you’re always using as it’s just lovely. I also need to flip through the ton of 12x12 scrapbook papers I have… I’m looking forward to embossing some papers with my embossing folders that I LOVE but haven’t been using… watching your videos has given me fresh perspective and admiration for them.
OK… babbled long enough! Thanks for sharing your time & energy, your creativity and inspiration! Have an awesome day! 🙂❤

Sue, I love reading you! Your writing inspires me. You are very creative as I can read, and I love how you have many things on the go. I'm like this as well, and it means we are curious about other medium and art forms. Thank you for your support and kind words. I appreciate you. Hugs and have a beautiful rest of the weekend 💕🌼🤗

Where do you buy the beautiful cameos you use on the covers? I would love to add them to my books.
