- Since American Evan Gershkovich was detained in Russia, his family has written him letters and attended hearings in Moscow to try and keep the detained WSJ reporter’s spirits up.
They spoke to WSJ’s Shelby Holliday about the past 100 days. “We think about you every minute of every day,” Evan Gershkovich’s sister wrote in a letter to him.

The Wall Street Journal’s Evan Gershkovich was detained in Russia on March 29 while on a reporting trip and accused of spying, making him the first American journalist detained in Russia on espionage charges since the Cold War. The Journal vehemently denies the allegations against him and has called for his immediate release, as have President Biden and government and media leaders around the globe. This is so sad and frustrating. Being unable to do anything, it would drive me mad! This is a reality check and reminder of all the other horrible crimes against humanity taking place around the world. This is evil.

If only you had a merchant of death you could of made a swap 😂
Cool that they keep his spirits up!

I feel for his family! However who thought going to Russia during these times was a good idea? I was not surprised that he got arrested! I wonder who will get traded for this guy?
I’m not victim blaming, but everyone needs to know that there’s no such thing as freedom of the press or speech in Russia.
Putin imprisons or kills anyone who goes against him
One of many reasons why foreigners should not visit russia - they could easily become a hostage. This guy will be free but russia will bargain something in return
too bad you guys dont have another international arms dealer to trade
He was imprisoned for being a good journalist.
Thats part of the risk as they Know!
How do you ask how u communicate if you write to him?

Надеюсь он скоро приедет домой в Сша. Будем молиться за него
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, so the USA needs to grab about ten Russians, then negotiate...
The only chance you have oughta getting out of Russia is either your famous or a basketball ⭐.

Я то не забываю друзей если будет возможность вытащить я помогу,как и помог Виктору Буту и потому меня не посадили,но всем помогать не хочу хоть британцы думают по другому
Hi SHELBY HOLIDAY LOVE YOU ❤
I hope this won’t be another Otto Warmbier situation like in North Korea.
This I’m scared 😢
Они хотят расколоть душу и тело и тому подобное и потому цигун где акцент на слияние души и тела только я не знал что болен так сильно
Relay on Biden - Bad idea...
We must send Don Lemon to Russia to investigate & get to the bottom of this!
Awesome!!!!! Bwahahaha
😂😂😂😂
Jaja...
He shouldn’t have been in Russia!! The state department told people not to go and yet he remained.
Don't know if this is the case or not for this reporter but the CIA has a known history of using reporters to gather intel.
He had the legal accreditation from RUSSIA to be there and to work there. He was working well within the limits of the law. Evan was arrested for honestly doing his job and his reporting has highlighted what Russia wanted to hide so badly yet it’s come out as we see the disaster this war ON Ukraine is. Get your facts straight and keep the accusations and blame to yourself.
@@foxportergrey5992 again, i dont care about any accreditation, the state department said not to be there, Russia is a rogue state
buhooo
why US not acting against Russia
Because hes not the right shade of ethnicity. And the US doesn’t have any Russian murders to trade atm
@@Overlandjonwhat do you mean not the right shade? He’s a white guy
By doing what?
Thanks for all) so much money for Russia) second week i win on your dollars. So much dollars lose, i bet win) thank you
The thing is, IF he is a spy, then his family and the WSJ would be the last people to find out. He would have considered this risk before choosing the path he took. If he's NOT a spy, why would he make such peculiar life decisions??
Very funny how a journalist trying to report a war must be “spying” cause you know journalists have never tried to report on a war… Russian shill
What's so peculiar about being a reporter?
That's the price you pay for working for the CIA 😂
How’s weather in Moscow tovaristch ?😂😂
@@greatrunner7665 great comrade 🥶
Evan is not a spy and #journalismisnotacrime
He'll be freed with the defeat of Russia in Ukraine war and the eventual collapse of Russia (a political change at the very top). Hang in there, Evan.
So Never, LOL 🤣
@@MiamiMillionaire we don't know. We'll have to wait and see
@@alexandrugheorghe5610 Personally for me there is little doubt that he is a spy, he fits perfectly into the CIA's recruiting scheme
@@MiamiMillionaire whatever fulfills your weirdest dreams, man 👍🏻
LoL 🤣🤣🤣
This channel generally releases anything related to the truth. This guy was caught red-handed. He, like the last idiot, openly asked about the operating modes of the military plant, about the products manufactured. Journalist? Don't make me laugh, now any blogger calls himself a journalist. And it doesn’t cost anything for a scout to draw up the relevant documents.
