Because that's how he is in the books. The games made him a lot more suave and charismatic. But in the books Geralt wasn't always a very smooth operator. The guy sleeps in the woods, doesn't shower much, and hates people. His best friends are lepers and drunks.

@@WitchyAnya it’s not really a language you can learn at least to my knowledge but they’re specific words and phrases that are pronounced a certain way and “shut up” and “human” are one of the most recognizable words but there’s prolly stuff on the wiki on elder speech and definitely if you play the cdpr games like gwent or the Witcher 3
