Thank you so much for such a good review - you covered everything I wanted to know, and your playing is brilliant! I subsequently purchased a GP200 and I am amazed at just how good this thing is for the price.
I just bought the Valeton GP 200 as an inexpensive way to have a complete setup for a "in-ear only" stage at a church with the stereo out going into the house system. Your video was very professionally done, and it gives me hope that this little unit will do the job for me! Thanks for the review!
It was not as nice as the $2000 pedal another guy in church had, but all-in-all, I was very pleased with it. I'd say it was 90% as good as his sounds, and smaller and easy to set. I did have an issue with the factory power supply. My GP 200 started turning itself off during use, then turning itself back on. I decided to get a more powerful supply and that cured the problem. I think they undersized the power supply. I found an inexpensive one on Amazon that had double the amp output (same voltage of course) and I've never had the problem again. I used it two ways... (1) I sent a stereo signal to the board, and used their monitor send. (2) I used one side of the GP-200 output to send to the board, and the other side to send to my in-ears. I did the one ear in and one ear open thing and just had a good strong signal of my guitar in the in-ear side. Probably not the best way to do it, but it worked for me pretty well. Good luck!
Thanks for your amazing insight on gear Leo. I very much enjoy creating & recording guitar music. I'm always looking for information and equipment that would make the process easier.
Great review Leo. I own this unit for a year now, but was only using it occasionally. things have changed a month ago when i first connected it to my mac and I unlocked it full potential. Your review was on spot - the right length with all the important, and objective, info that one would need. My only issues with this rig is the looper, which is rather basic and absolutely terrible drum kit. But not a big issue as i have standalone looper pedal and not so much into automated drum kit anyways. Otherwise, it is probably the best value for money one can get in the price range of 300-700 eur. Thanks again for you review, and i am off to explore more of your vids. keep it up❤
Hi Michael, thank you so much for sharing your findings and for your feedbacks!!!! I'm happy to have been of some help with your purchase decision!!! Thank you!!!
Leo, thanks for so many wonderful reviews. After watching many of them, I bought the GP-200. Congrats and keep up the great work!!! Cheers from Brazil!
Nice job on the GP200 review. You're getting competitive sounds out of it already. I do agree that multiple USB ports would be better. I think Valeton will factor in your advice for their next one. I'm trying to learn all its tools and tricks but most importantly it has to have the ability sound great. So far, so good.
Ciao Leo, grazie per le tue recensioni, direi le migliori che si possono trovare su YT. Amazing playing and composition. Great sound. I have used the Helix floorboard for some years and Hotone Ampero for 2 days, but still looking for a well sounding board
@@LeoGibsonGtr As mentioned I had the Ampero but was not happy about it. Low output and a lot of digital distortion. Hotone makes the Valeton products too so i am concerned about those problems on the GO-200 too. Did you experience and problems with distortion by raising levels or low outputs on the GP-200 ?
i've gone back to real amp and maybe a torpedo x for quiet gigs. but, this fits perfectly for a practice tool, and even more compact live tool too. had a headrush, couldn't trust it and couldn't afford it plus a real amp and pedal board. this unit looks and sounds great. i believe the right fit for me. your playing is also exceptional. great video.
Great that you included bass in the video as many bass players are in the multi effects market too. Looking forward to more bass tests on these products as most bass guitarist play both. :)
Hi, thank you!! My only concern in making bass related video is that I'm not a bass player and I even don't have a real bass amp...so I'm a bit sceptical in doing such videos... Thank you!
Your videos and compositions are wonderful! I don't think the GP200 amps are the same as the Ampero MP100 amps. In the video where you compare Ampero MP100 vs Real amp, the Ampero is EXACTLY the same as the real amp, here it isn't. A comparison between Ampero MP100 and Valeton GP200 would be interesting. Thank you so much for the amazing video!
Another thing Leo, I saw you use "jump connection" on your Plexi. And in Valetone's description the "jump" is used in the simulation that Valetone describes as "UK50JP", it is a Plexi too. Your amp would be that then 8:19 no?
Thank you so much, I'm really happy that you appreciate the video! If I remember it well, there is a delay while switching...nothing super intrusive, but of course it depends from your needs. Thank you!

Your videos are simply amazing, with all the detail and structure you put in them. I'm addicted! Just one thing that puzzled me a bit: why did you compare the Valeton GP200 to the Mooer GE300 and not the GE250 (is more alike, both in specs and in price, except for the number of swithces)? I am looking for a pedalboard under 400€ and GP200 and GE250 are my main options, but I am struggling to find a comparison between the two. Thank you and keep delighting us with your fantastic videos.
Hi Pedro, first of all thank you so much, I'm really super happy that you like the videos! Yes, it's because of the 8 foot switches. I mean, there are not so much pedalboards with 8 foot switches, and this features is very useful for live situations, therefore in my opinion the GP 200 is a direct contender of the GE 300. By the way, I'm finishing a direct comparison GP 200 vs GP 200 LT vs Mooer GE 300 vs GE 300 LT... Thank you for your message!
Grazie 1000, sono veramente contento che ti piaccia la musica!!! Grazie per aver trovato il tempo per condividere il tuo feedback: significa molto per me!!!
Thank you Paul, really super appreciated! Well, I would have to do a video comparison to properly answer...now I'm working on a comparison with the POD GO.... Thank you!
Both great and it depends on your Guitar and Ear. I had the MG30 for 6months now and Superhappy with it - playing the GP200 for 2 days and the Amps sound much more transparent more headroom not that compressed or scooped in some Frequencies - its just my subjevtive oppinion. Effects like Reverb or Chorus much better in the MG30, Amps and Feeling better on the GP200.
In ampero Marshall 50JMP has 1 gain. Here in gp200 there are 2 gains. So amp simulation is not exactly the same but maybe we will see it in ampero in the next firmwares.
Hi Leo, great comparison! I have one question. If I connect my tonex pedal in effects loop of Valeton GP 200 where it will be placed in signal chain? Does it has send/return block which i could move left or right in signal chain?
@@LeoGibsonGtr Hi Leo, you're so welcome. Someone figured out how to get rid of the fixed blocks and replace them with more blocks than the 4, so it's more like a larger pedalboard. Message me if you want some of the configurations.
Such a high quality video and editing. I wonder if latency is improved vs GP100, which scored in the middle on your latency testing video. Also I'm curious about Ampero II Stomp latency. The box opening sounds at the end make me want to buy it so I can open it.
This pedal will break the Boss and Line 6, for the price and many great connection options, for example the xlr connection, which doesn't exist in other pedals....and the very fair price. Amazing product!! Essa pedaleira vai quebrar a Boss e Line 6, pelo preço e muitas ótimas opções de conexão, por exemplo a conexão xlr, que não exite em outras pedaleiras....e o preço muito justo. Incrível produto!!
Only the evh amp is the best with a chief distortion on 5% with a additional klone boost its sounds great. Was going to try a revv g3 and by pass the gp200 but going to try in the shop before I buy. The secret of this unit keep it simple no compressor or pre amps or equilizer just evh amp distortion a little and just reverb & delay

@@LeoGibsonGtr Awesome! I'll be checking out for those videos. Thank you for your reply.
Interesting product, it sounds surprisingly good to me
Thank you for sharing!
So thanks. I just bougth it.
You are welcome, I'm happy to have been of some help!
Fantastic video 👏🏼
Will this work with Marshall Code50?
Thank you!
I don't have the code50 but I guess it works
Thank you Leo!
You are welcome!!!
Great video. I hope you can also compare it with the Mooer GE300
Thank you, really appreciated! Yes, maybe in the coming weeks.
Gran pezzo di musica come demo . Complimenti
Grazie 1000, sono veramente contento che ti piaccia la musica!!!
Grazie per aver trovato il tempo per condividere il tuo feedback: significa molto per me!!!
Hi Leo, great demo song as usual 😁. how does this compare to the Nux Mg30 in terms of tone? Thanks
Hi Leo I currently using GP100 using it for amp and cab on my pedalboard. I hope you can make comparison between gp200 and gp100.
Hi David, good point...Thank you for your suggestion!
In ampero Marshall 50JMP has 1 gain. Here in gp200 there are 2 gains.
So amp simulation is not exactly the same but maybe we will see it in ampero in the next firmwares.
Hi, thank you for sharing...maybe I will do a video comparison...
Hi Leo, great comparison! I have one question. If I connect my tonex pedal in effects loop of Valeton GP 200 where it will be placed in signal chain? Does it has send/return block which i could move left or right in signal chain?
great playing, dude!
Thank you Luis, super appreciated!!!!
Great video! I have the Pod Go and this definitely gives it a run for the money. Love your songs, and your playing. Do you know about the Pod Go hack?
Thank you, I'm really happy that you like the video and the song!!! What is the hack you are referring about?
Thank you!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Hi Leo, you're so welcome. Someone figured out how to get rid of the fixed
blocks and replace them with more blocks than the 4, so it's more like a larger pedalboard. Message me if you want some of the configurations.
Such a high quality video and editing. I wonder if latency is improved vs GP100, which scored in the middle on your latency testing video. Also I'm curious about Ampero II Stomp latency. The box opening sounds at the end make me want to buy it so I can open it.
Thank you James, I'm happy that you like the video!!! You are right...I should update my latency video....maybe in the coming weeks...
Thank you!
Hi, thank you for sharing your opinion...and yes, the price is very good!
U are the best Leo, thx.
Thank you so much!!! really appreciated!!
Hi, thank you for sharing your findings.
