      Hey. I'm glad you like my channel. Sorry for getting back late.
      The recipe works best the way it is. If you're adding cocoa powder , then it's okay to skip vanilla essence. It masks the smell of egg. But why substitute an egg with coconut oil ?? Just curious to know. You can add yogurt instead of coconut oil.. just in case you want to substitute that one egg.

    Omg! Looks so good! I want to try this! :) but I have 2 questions
    Can I make this in a blender? I don't have a mixer jar.. I do have a handmixer but I am skeptical about using it, because it seems like a blender is the closest I have to that mixer jar (or is it the same thing as a blender?) And can I bake this in a glass pan? Do I have to change the temperature/cooking time?

    • @HoneyImHome
      @HoneyImHome  Рік тому

      Hey. It's okay to use a blender as long as you can break the gritty sugar,cocoa butter mixture into a smooth glossy paste after adding egg.
      You can definitely bake in a glass pan, but the temperature and baking time will differ. Glass takes a bit longer to heat up. Keep a close eye while baking :)

      Hey there. Instead of 1/2 cup and 2 tsp extra , why don't you add 7 tbsp of cocoa powder instead ? and add 1 tbsp of cornflour so that it holds the structure of the brownie. Do not increase the all purpose flour though. I can't wait for you to get back on how this worked for you :)

    Please a quick response will be appreciated by anyone... am gonna try this recipe.....

    • @HoneyImHome
      @HoneyImHome  2 роки тому

      Hello. I suggest taking it out after 7 mins.. but initial 10 mins keep an eye on your brownie. Because of the difference in oven temperature, the film on top can be formed before 7 mins or after 7 . So wait until a very thin layer of batter cooks on the top layer. Then take it out and tap on the surface or gently use a spoon. Then pop it back into the oven.

      @@mohamedshabith4373 Thank you so much for trying the recipe, though I am disheartened that it didn't turn out the way it was intended to. A things to take care of the next time you give it a try.. which I really hope you do -
      Melt the butter sugar cocoa on low heat. Butter should be solid cold.
      - Make sure to blend the above into a smooth paste.
      - After adding the 1st egg, make sure to blend it until you get a smooth glossy paste. You should be able to see a glossy paste by now.
      - Measure flour perfectly. The more the flour that goes in.. the more cakey the brownie will get and not fudgy. So it is important to not put too much flour
      - When putting in the flour, its best to divide the flour in two. Then pulse it twice. Very small pulse enough to mix it. The rest you can mix by hand
      - Do not work the batter more after adding flour.
      I really hope you get to try recipe out once again. I'm sure you'll figure out what went wrong.

    • @HoneyImHome
      @HoneyImHome  2 роки тому

      Hey. I think your sugar clumped up. That's alright. Even when you make caramel, sugar do clump and then slowly start to dissolve. Please make sure you do this on the lowest flame and give it time if you find it clumping. Honestly I havent faced this issue, I've made this brownie so many times already. If you are scared to use granulated sugar again, try powdered sugar of the same quantity.. this will definitely ensure there are no lumps and it will not clump together.
      Do not let the mixture cool down too much. If you can see, when I beat in the mixer, steam still comes out of it . The mixture shouldnt be too hot, nor just warm.
      I'm sorry this recipe did not work out for you, but I do hope you give this a try again. You can always reach me on my instagram for quicker reply or quick chat to clear any doubt. Thank you

      Hey. Non stick cake tin is no problem. I've made this in a non stick sheet cake pan and it came out the same. You'd get the shiny top for sure, but you'd have to make sure 1. You beat the sugar mixture really well and also whip the egg well to make it glossy 2.that you take it out at the right time to tap it . Just when a small thin film forms on the top , you should take it out to tap. Make sure not to bake it at a high temperature too. Also, if you do not want to be bothered about taking the brownie out to tap, then you can follow this recipe ua-cam.com/video/5AgruwxLENk/v-deo.html . This has chocolate in it, which would ensure you get the shiny crinkle top.

      @@annaann7135 This is how a cousin of mine has made it on stove top - it takes practice and you should know that each stove is also different and so is the thickness of the vessel you are using.
      1. Preheat the cooker for 10 minutes along with a stand placed inside (5 minutes on medium high flame and 5 minutes on low flame)
      2. You should take the tin out at 10 minutes and not 7 for the first tap. This could also change.. so after 9 minutes keep an eye and check if the top layer is formed
      3. Bake throughout at low to medium low flame for 25 to 28 mins.
      4. While making in the cooker you should keep close check. Once you figure it out the first time as to how your vessel and flame works, you can make it easily the second time using the same timings.
      5. The above is how my cousin uses this recipe, but when she has tried this on different flames and cooker, she has gotten different timings. The key is to keep close watch after 9 mins and 25 mins.
      I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

      Hey Anzia. I haven't made it in the cooker, but someone I know always makes it in a cooker. Initially it could be a little difficult to figure out the timing, but she now has figured it out to do on the stove. The total time to cook the brownies were 25 minutes in total.

      Hey Swathi. I haven't made it in the cooker, but someone I know has tried it in the cooker. She couldn't achieve the crackled top because it was undercooked in 5 minutes and overcooked in 7 minutes for the first tap . But the total time to cook the brownies were 25 minutes in total.

    • @HoneyImHome
      @HoneyImHome  2 роки тому +1

      @@aklimarabristy3283 I can think of 2 reasons.
      1. Make sure to beat the egg and sugar really well until super glossy. It's the key to getting a crack on brownie.
      2. Please keep a stern eye the initial 7 minutes. Your temperature of the oven would be different from mine. I've had some who needs just 5 minutes and a few who have needed 10 minutes for the upper layer to set just a little. Right when you think the upper crust has formed a thin layer and has begun to set, take it out and use a spoon or tap on surface.. Don't be disheartened, you'll figure out the temperature eventually.

    Tried making this ( again I will state that I TRIED ) forgot the vanilla and didn’t turn out well and I’m sure it’s the flour and that it’s expired, dad said it has 2 month left , I swear we’ve had it for over a year , I was in a hurry since it was about 1 am too , hated the experience, but everyone has been complimenting it , so I had no right to talk with my expired ass flour 🤭
