Weird how Europeans always say our food taste like chemicals yet enjoy the Twinkies the snack all Americans say taste like chemicals lol
Nobody says that...
@@Choper-l1s the 40 people who liked my comment seem to agree. Idk anyone who eats twinkies.
WOW... 40 WHOLE people! Thats... not as impressive as you seem to think it is. Also, unless you're around someone 24/7 you couldn't possibly know everything they do or don't eat. Nice try tho. You have a nice day 🤣🤦♀️
@@Choper-l1s you’re the one who threw the blanket statement that “Nobody says that” but clearly 40 other people agreed. Quit trying to get into the comment sections just to argue, especially if you don’t have an intelligent argument. Have a nice day yourself.
@@Choper-l1sa lot of people actually say that or atleast the people I’ve met
As an American I've eaten the majority of those snacks except for the cardi B one. Even though half of those items are bland to me those kids were highly exaggerating how bad they were. We all have our own taste buds but something that bland usually doesn't taste disgusting. And takis are from Mexico not the US.But they are popular in the US.
Agreed the two kids with the shaggy bowl cuts came into it with bad attitudes trying to find any reason not to like any of the snacks.
The only time I ever saw the Rap chips were in crappy gas stations.
@@lout3921 for real 😂
@@lout3921 I see them in Walmart
I think because the Jolly guys gave them Korean snacks before US snacks and they liked it
The one kid that hates everything would get beaten up every day in our schools. Pompous limey
Exactly. Both blonde kids are smart asses.
lol he would
JUST REMEMBER THEY LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE BLOOD IN SAUSAGE FORM.. IS FOOD!!
It's not blood in sausage form, it's just sausage with blood in it. Also, why are you yelling?
that's true makes me feel better about them not liking Hershey's when I think of that! They have blood pudding made from blood for vampires no doubt. lol
It wasn’t until I started watching videos of people from other countries that I found out that y’all really don’t like root beer! It’s one of my favorites 😂
In fairness, these snacks tasted a lot better in the ‘90s. Ingredient changes have really reduced taste and texture.
Nah, they were just as toxic then lol we’ve grown up and our taste buds have just evolved as we got older.
While I agree the trans fats were toxic, they had a much better mouth feel and didn’t leave a waxy film on your tongue. It definitely tasted better before the ingredient changes. Also, in the case of Hostess, the formulas were altered when the company was bought by Bimbo bakeries.
@@philipplouden5892 is it actually called bimbo bakery’s? If so that’s hilarious and makes complete sense 😂
@@cjboyer4355bimbo is a spanish bread company so idk how that "makes sense" 💀💀
three of those boyz are very pompis
Those kids are over exaggerating how bad they were lol. Those snacks are good!... 😂
Wow! Aidan used the American term addicting instead of addictive. Yep, he's an American!
I noticed that too.
Aidan did say he grew up in America for a bit.
I'm American and I use both.
As an American I’ve never heard anyone say addicting.. always addictive
This is what we've come to 😢
I live in the US and I’ve never heard of rap snacks. I’ve never seen them anywhere either.
They usually sell them in corner stores.
As an American, this is a pretty bad representation of what we snack on lol
Cheese Wiz comes in a jar. EZ Cheese is the one in the spray can.
Correct. That is a common mistake similar to the cool whip/reddi whip mix up.
Pretty sure I've had cheese Wiz in a can before, not sure what you two are talking about. It comes in a red can, you can google it.
@@LukaDonesnitch it is sold in a can but it’s rare. Most stores only sell it in a jar.
@@LukaDonesnitch If there is no "Kraft" logo then it's not real -cheese wiz- (Cheez Whiz is the correct spelling). It's a knock off.
@@TheDeadStretch I just repeated how you originally spelled wiz which is right at the top if you go back and read your own post.
Combos are great if you can find a flavor you like. They've been around since the early 80s. But they come in two basic forms, cracker or pretzel. And then you get a multitude of different flavored fillings. The originals were Nacho Cheese Pretzel. Here's the Wikipedia entry for Combos and under the Production subheading you can find a list of flavors.
What flavors taste good to a person just depends on each person's individual tastes. I haven't been a Combo connoisseur in quite some time, so i'm not sure which flavors are palatable and which aren't, but most are pretty good. I found it surprising that these kids didn't care for them. Because they've been a part of American snacks for over 40 years now.
I grew up eating the pretzel and cheese (which are still the only ones I can eat) but my husband likes the pizza ones 🤢 we literally only get them for road trips 😅
BTEC = Business and Technology Education Council - specialist work-related qualifications. They combine practical learning with subject and theory content. Science is one subject that can generally be done as a BTEC or GCSE. The difference being you do course work to complete a BTEC and don't have to sit an exam in the end.
Never heard of Combos, but lots of British vloggers, when visiting the US, love them - they come in different flavors, and take bags back. They also love the very hot Takis. They say Funnyons in the US are better than the British version. They buy lots of the sour candies, as they say they’re lame in the UK. They might not like American chocolate, but they love the various types of Reese’s Peanut Butter candies. When in the US, do a reaction video of Aidan and Sophie visiting a Super Walmart for the first time.
As an American, I will tell you that brand means EVERYTHING when regarding soda! A&W rootbeer is literally the worst kind of rootbeer! If you want to try GOOD American rootbeer, get MUG! It has a bulldog on it and it taste a lot less artificial than A&W! Or if you want to splurge, see if you can import Stewart’s Rootbeer (I prefer the black cherry soda, but they’re famous for their rootbeer) 💛
nahhh man barq's is the best flavored root beer
It is the sassafras root in root beer they don't like. It is the same flavor they use for mouthwash (if memory serves) and the anti plaque rinses at their dentists. If your root beer doesn't taste of sassafras then it's not root beer, and so no matter how quality we find it, they won't like it.
I, for instance, have never understood Americans who like Jägermeister. It tastes like Nyquil to me, and while I'll use Nyquil if I must, it is not a flavor I search out for entertainment or enjoyment. Root beer is the same for them, the odd European will like it, but it is literally the flavor of medicinal liquids.
barqs bro
Your headphones helped with echo, but your volume is to low now. Needs to go up around 10 dB.
To check volume on video; right click inside video screen, left click on Stats For Nerd and you will se your volume setting. Now you are at -15 dB, should be around -5 dB
Love the Jolly content!
Also, volume on the video is a bit low for some reason.
And Rootbeer...what's up with the dislike of nature's nector? If you get A&W's Rootbeer labeled with Made with Real Vanilla, it's quite good. I drink Sugar Free A&W quite frequently and it's quite lovely.
Barqs is king lol it's because they're medicine tastes like rootbeer
You guys have got to pump the vol lol
I noticed that the volume dropped a lot since they started using headphones.
Takis being spicy is a joke 😂😂 I have to add hot sauce. Then again I’m Mexican 😅
Lol yea and sometimes add some lime
@@noelramirez1551 absolutely!
I do have to say Cheeze-it modified their franchise with "White Cheddar" to compete with Goldfish. It is damn good, too.
I've ate like 4 boxes of the Buffalo flavored ones in the last week. You just can't go wrong with any flavor of Cheeze its.
@@heywoodjablowme8120 Indeed
I have to catch my self eating Cheezeits. I would literally off my self with the amount I eat in a sitting if I don’t stop eating them. Idk how they’re so addicting. They have to have crack in them. LMFAOO.🤦🏾
Both companies have great marketing, I think that's why Goldfish is still a strong rival but Cheese-its are the superior snack, imo.
I agree, it also tastes more buttery than goldfish. I love the Cheez-it, the rest I've had but would never purchase. America just has so many snacks to choose from, and they picked some of the worst imo. 😂
I like these kids, they're funny as all hell! 😂
Hersey wanted to make milk Chocolate with fresh milk, unlike how they made it in Europe with powdered milk. But the only way they could get the chocolate to set was by letting the milk go sour. They don't do it like that anymore but they still add a sour flavor in order to keep the same taste.
I think it's also to make them survive longer beyond its expiration date.
That’s interesting. Something I’ve never known before, but to me, hersheys milk chocolate doesn’t taste sour at all. I don’t understand the sour aftertaste they’re talking about. If anything it’s sweet but not over the top sweetness
@@samicasingal4080 it’s the bucolic acid. It makes it taste like bile to Europeans.
@@emanymton713 thank you for letting me know. That is indeed interesting. Maybe I also don’t taste the sourness because I’m used to eating sweet and sugary things since I don’t like anything bland. Also, my sister and I loved Hershey’s, Reese’s, and KitKats, so my mom would always buy those when we were younger
I never taste anything sour when I eat Hersey's and I've been eating them for over 20 years.
I'm a Realtor and one of my favorite things to do when I'm driving around showing homes is to eat combos in my car in between showings. Damn, those things are good!!
I wasn’t expecting Daz to say something about WAP flavored chips 😂😂😂😂
Cheez-its are usually fairly cheesy but sometimes you get a box that isn’t very cheesy at all. Like you got a bad batch or something. I prefer the white cheddar flavor.
I don’t really start to get the flavor of Cheez-its until I’ve had a few or a handful… just tasting one isn’t enough
I have never gotten a box that isn't really full of flavor. To the point that I can't eat many before I need to take a break. Goldfish however have almost no flavor compared to Cheez-Its
Imo like 1/3 of these were actually the common American snacks. 1. No one eats rap snacks. 2. Wtf is combos?😭😭😭
Combos are popular. They’re in like every gas station
@@HBC423 i have 3 gas stations on one intersection near my house. I haven’t seen any. They must be a regional thing. I know it is bc the comments of the original video agrees that these aren’t even the common American snacks. We all know no one really be eating rap snacks like they’re goldfish and cheezits. Lol!
crank up the volume please
So we Americans "don't get the concept of what snacks are", as that one condescending little limey said?? :) Hmm...that and all the other snooty comments most of them made...coming from people who like rancid meat paste and canned beans smeared on toasted bread is quite telling! lol Maybe they should respect we have different tastes and palates...and frankly, be thankful they're not having to eat schnitzel or sauerkraut for snacks! :)
Exactly they came off as to high and mighty for a country that doesn't use spices and have shit bland food
You forgot "blood pudding" ---- gag a maggot on a gut wagon, but that's disgusting!
Hershey's uses fresh milk instead of the powdered milk European chocolate uses. There's a slight souring of the milk in the process, so that's usually the difference Brits taste. Mars products also use Hershey's chocolate so the guy was right about it tasting like the inside of an M&M.
The reason Brits never enjoy root beer is because they serve it wrong. Root beer needs to be served in a frosted mug over ice cubes and preferably a brand that come in a bottle not a can.
Nah it's because mouthwash and medicine in many places in Europe (not just the UK) is flavored with sassafras root (the root in root beer). Saying they drink it wrong, and that's why they dont like it, is like if someone from another country had a beloved drink that tasted like Listerine. All the advice on the "proper" way to enjoy a drink that tastes like mouthwash won't change their minds.
Quite literally how I feel about the Nyquil taste of Jägermeister. I know people who love it and do what you are doing "Put it in the freezer and shoot it when it is ice cold". Yum, ice cold NyQuil.
How does aidan have the memory of a gold fish but remebers eating gold fish 🤔😂
11:22 That "weird taste" in Taki's is lime. Also many of these snacks are things people aren't very popular. They're right to think they're disgusting. Hence why they aren't very popular Lol
Takis suck. I have no clue how they became popular
Well someone is obviously eating them cause people keep making them for people to buy.
I hate Taki’s but I see a lot of people eat them but I think they are just a fad kinda like bugles were in the 90’s. Warheads are literally a gag candy nobody buys them to enjoy them you eat them for something fun.
@@kikibigbangfan3540 millions of Mexicans lol
@@bigdaddyc4471 lol you guys are crazy they're good just add some hot sauce and lime
Takis are spicy and acidic because it has lime also.
love your videos, but your audio on the videos you are showing is a bit hard to hear since you started using the head phones.
Afraid of new flavors , if they had access to these snacks they would be eating these at every opportunity.
I've had all of these but the Rap Snacks.
Me and my younger brother LOVED Warheads. We used to buy bags upon bags of them at a time. We would open all the candys from a bag each and pop a handful of them at the same time.
Me and my younger brother liked to live dangerously, we used to drink bottles of hot sauce.
I’ve lived near Chicago and Mississippi but never saw rap snacks until I moved to St. Louis in 2006. It had Lil Romeo on it, my first impression was “WTF is this?” 😂 still never tried them!
I find this while concept weird brits critisizing food cause they don't even eat edible food over there. Its hilarious
RIGHT 😂😂😂😂
they really don't want a war over food, we'd demolish them EASILY
@@MindYourBusiness23282 exactly the kid who said brit candy is better WHAT!!!
@@apollopegasus9537 they really do got a lot of balls sayin that when their fav cuisine is beans on toast w/ cheese 😵💫
If it’s flavorful they probably won’t like it. It will shock their fragile taste buds. Although England does have some great high end sweets.
😂😂😂😂
I'm just curious what are normal euro or English snacks? Tea and crumpets? Beans? Lol
It might be vtech. We have votech here in the states. Vocational technologies. Takis are like lime flavored spicy crisps
Generalizing ofc but Americans seem to have better chips (or crisps as they call it in the UK) while Brits have better sweets (chocolates especially).
Fruity Italian boy too good for pizza snacks
We have Sour cream and Onion, Sour cream and Cheddar (my fav), and salt and vinegar (disgusting). We don't have shrimp cocktail flavor here.
Our “cheese and onion” would probably be “cheddar and sour cream” which is a combination of cheddar and “sour cream and onion”. I’d be willing to bet that your cheese and onion is based on our cheddar and sour cream.
The ritz flavors are in mini versions like peanut butter sandwich or cheese filled
Ritz crackers have a butter flavor
!!!
Alright Daz, we're gonna need a delivery address.
*Opperation Goldfish!*
Of the few kinds of more local foods that I have tried from other countries, I have to say that the one through line that seems to tie American foods together is a strong undertone of _synthesis_ . It's like you can *taste* the manufacturing in the food.
Jolly picked horrible snacks. I don’t see every day teens or Americans picking any of the snacks on the video. I also think this kids over exaggerated and the kid that wanted to try the Twinky was very snooty. In the USA we have lots of good snacks.
Everyone complaining stuff like this needs to remember not all Americans are white I know a lot of black and Hispanic kids that eat Takis but I've never seen none of my black or Hispanic friends eat Twinkies or goldfish
I’m American/Italian who loves gold fish , and always hated cheezits and last time I had cheezits I was 5 years old now I’m 21 .
Gay, if you come across a Hershey's with almonds, try it. You're right, it is dismal by itself. 😂 also really nice, the Nutrageous bar, frozen, and love a Reese's cup now and then. Love the channel; cheers, from Phoenix, Az!! ❤️
As an american, I don't know anyone who eats any of those items except for the goldfish. Goldfish are a snack for toddlers. The others just aren't reasonable quality food. There are much better snacks.
Lol Americans aren't just white people I always see black people and Hispanics buying takis
@@noelramirez1551 I guess I'm old and out of touch then.
Takis taste way better when you add hot sauce and some lime
The big difference in taste in chocolate with Hershey’s is European chocolate tends to be alkaline processed, whereas Hershey’s is not.
In 10 years Ralph holds back his maid's pay for a month for not pronouncing La Croix properly while stocking his fridge at his winter chalet in Gstaad.
He's a real joy (Sarcasm)
😂
My favorite Bean Flavor is Bread
Hershey's is best in 'smores or dipped into peanut butter.
The thing with root beer in the UK is the flavor is used for things you would have in a medicine cabinet. Here in America we chose cherry and banana as flavor for medicines and mint for mouthwash. The artificial flavors of cherry and banana candy and other snacks are not as popular because of it.
This video was very hard to hear and I had my volume turned up. I think it might be on your end maybe. I could hear the three of you just fine it was the video that was very low.
Same here, I can't hear the actual vid but hear them fine. Even when my volume is all the way up.
They should have done the more American common snacks (not rap crap snacks), such as really good sour cream and onion potato chips (crisps), salt and vinegar chips, BBQ chips and those that have bacon as part of the flavor such as jalapena, bacon and cheddar pretzels. Also, they should have done trail mixes--Trader Joe's has alot of really good trail mixes (I don't work for TJ's :)). Also, they should have done a really good Cream Soda instead of Root Beer--Cream Soda is a vanilla-ey flavored soda--or an orange cream soda which tastes like a creamscicle (vanilla ice cream on the inside, surrounded by orange popscicle).
Hershey's uses a slight acidic flavoring that distinguishes it from other chocolates. Most Americans like the extra tang. For most Americans other chocolate tastes a little bland (or overly sweet). A few (very few) people here in America like to look sophisticated by running down Hershey's. And even fewer have a 'natural' dislike because of their palate sensitivity to the acidic taste. The palate in the UK is tuned to bland so the acidic flavoring would easily be detected. If however you have tasted other Hershey products you would already be adjusting to it.
Hersheys just isn't a great chocolate. It was fine 30 years ago when there weren't other options and Hersheys was the only thing available to us but today there are several other chocolate brands available that are far better. But yeah, European chocolate tastes better, that's not trying to be sophisticated it's just that ALL dairy products (anything made with milk) tastes better in Europe. Chocolate, straight milk, cheese, etc. They have better dairy cows. Our livestock are better for beef. European steaks have nothing on American steaks. But for all things dairy, you just have to give them their due. It's creamier and just better tasting.
6:48 Pringles are not “chips” here in the US. They have to be marketed as “crisps” legally due to a 1975 FDA ruling. It’s because they aren’t made from whole potato slices but from potato flakes, or “dehydrated processed potato”.
With the Twinkies get some Hostess (company name) HoHos, and also Hostess cup cakes.
To the Mum, Hersheys uses powdered milk, so thats where the baby-puke taste comes from.
Shiiiii I use to steal some of these back in the day 😂 😂 these will always be my favorites they are my struggle stacks when there's no food in the kitchen
Tabasco hot sauce flavored cheez itz are my thing
Jolly Texas BBQ!
The pizza flavored stuff isn't very good. Gotta stick with the regular ones.
Fun fact, when they made the vomit flavored Beanboozled jelly beans, they were trying to make pizza flavor. Turns out there's a thin line between the two flavors.

🤣🤣🤣
Overall the kids were funny and good sports. The kid with the long bangs didn’t like anything, and we pronounce it ZEEEE, not Zed…lol
Honestly I don’t eat most of those snacks because they don’t taste good and are terrible for you, then again I’m not a kid anymore, my taste buds have drastically changed over the years. Nowadays, good food tastes good and commercial snacks are for the birds.
The American high schoolers were pretty much the same as these guys, they tried being polite, but let you know when they didn’t like something. Kudos to Jolly for this most humorous video.
They didn't even try our best snacks which is the wild part.
Ritz tastes like butter. Twinkies taste like overly-sweet vanilla cake
Vanilla cake sprayed with round up lol
Of all the snacks they tried i only like the cheez its and Combos.I agree with Gaynor the hersheys tastes horrible . I actually prefer dark chocolate . The Lindt dark cocolate intense orange and dark chocolate raspberry are so yummy!
I’m American and also don’t like these snacks. There are better options available though. Combos are ok to me I’d say.
I never had Combos, Rap Chips, and the spray Sour Heads before. I did try the original Sour Heads once and.... I regretted it.
Aiden likes it because he's American like me. I don't understand why a lot of brits don't like Hershey's I love them! Glad you like Hershey's Aiden but you're American born here don't be a traitor it is potato chips not crisps! lol

Cheez-its are better because they're more toasty. Ritz are butter flavored crackers. And spray cheese is called Easy Cheese.
As an American I can say that I do not enjoy pizza flavored pringles at all and i’ve never had combos in my life lol
I live in the US I prefer Cadberry dairy milk over her. She’s any day.
Yep. Also, Cadbury fruits and nuts bar.
Funny BUT the video you are reacting to is to low in sound.
Mouthwash in the USA is almost always mint

Hershey's dark chocolate are better. Any chocolate with milk is not really chocolate anyway. I prefer chocolate bars with 85+% cocoa and not sugar, just chocolate. Don't need too much at a time to get satisfied and the high % cocoa is really good for you as an added benefit.
Ritz deffo have a cheese flavour ..but the original is salted
Don't bother reading the ingredients on a Twinkies box, you'll never know what it is.
Cue the comments of defense about everyones favorite american snack
Also hershies is oil based not milk so its not normal chocolate.
Cheeze Whiz is like a squirty cream.....Bravo G
I lived near Hershey n I love their chocolate n I believe they bought out some companies. They own Reese's peanut butter cups n also their peanut butter in a jar, peanut butter with potato chips combine n many more. I don't like your candies but as Ralph said let Americans try your snacks.
Your talking about the dark chocolate there mike chocolate is good
Root beer is great. It’s not compatible with the British palate though.
That isn't cream in the Twinkies; it's kreme filling, meaning it is artificial creamy textured filling.
As a kid these snacks were amazing but now that I'm almost 30 they don't quite taste as good.
are they asking the posh kids or its a catholic school. cadburys are great ,does newcastle ale count as a snack.
This is such a specific selection and there's 2 I haven't even heard of lmao. I wonder what temp the root beer was, it's not something I have often.
Wow...
