She does NOT look 14. It's so weird that teens these days can pass for being in their 20s. I mean when I was 21 I remember people still thinking I was in my teens. I think that's how you know you are aging gracefully. Imo
I turned 30 this year and people still dont believe how old I am...when I entered my 20s everyone thought I was still in school, well I was in university but people thought I am a high schooler xD It was a bit annoying though... I guess now in my 30s it wont bother me anymore :P

I think its all due to less physical excercise
and increase in consumption of junk food , usage of social of media as harmful rays still affect the growing bodies.
It’s the makeup and how internet makes it much easier to pass on tricks and tips on what looks best on different faces, hairs, etc. What used to take us experience to figure out they just look it up. They also have learned to behave in a more “mature way” because they know video will be around forever so they care more.

Why are people avoiding the word "old"? Using these "euphemisms", old means you've lived long, it means you've been through a lot and have hence learnt alot, it means you've gathered wisdom. It's a beautiful term. But often seen as ugly, we fear the wrinkles and gray hairs, looking at "old" superficially.
Also the term old isn't really fixed is it, it's relative. This younger girl would be "old" in a room of toddlers, the millenials would be "young" in a senior home for example. They shouldn't be offended by the reality that they're just with a younger person right now and for that moment are the "old" person.
