I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who comes right home & cuts out the fabric & sews it right up. Then I also have fabric in my stash that I’ve had for 5 years. 🤣😂
Yes Patty, I have fabric that I cut out as soon as I buy it and then I have fabric in my closet from years ago!! I'm cheerful because sewing brings me joy. I rather have fabric and patterns than diamonds!! 😃🥰

You do such a great job with your channel! I especially enjoy it when you do tours, walking up the path to your sewing spot.. once you showed a fancy dinner you held. Nothing to do with sewing but I always enjoy it. Modeling your makes is wonderful! I did go right out to Hobby Lobby after seeing your annoucement of the sale! I am not receiving notifications for Joann's sales so I appreciate your letting us know (esp. pattern sales!). I'm working on project Dress A Girl (Mari Sews channel for more information). I love the animal print! I really like your dress with the sash. Good idea. You are SO CLEVER with your earrings, I cannot get over it!
One thing I'm working on with my pattern collection, is making organized lists, in order - like a database but I'm using my spreadsheet, because I keep my patterns upstairs in boxes. This will avoid my buying duplicates. I've bought several duplicate patterns during sales and I hope this will provide a quick reference, and an easy wishlist.
Yes Sirena, I need to get my patterns in a spreadsheet. I just never feel like doing it! I rather SEW!! LOL! Always check my Community tab and I will be sure to post sales as I become aware of them. Thanks Chilisa! I forgot to mention to not put that fabric in the dryer. I hand wash the dress and dry flat and then iron. It's beautiful fabric. We both have the same taste!! Lots of fun. Have a great week of sewing! 💖💖💖💖😘🪡

That is awesome Miss Molly! I should have mentioned in the video to NOT put that fabric in the dryer. Be sure to hand wash and lay flat to dry and then press! It will look beautiful. I love it! Keep on watching. More to come!!
Your MG dress came out beautifully! Love the fabric and look of the dress with the belt centered. 🥰 I had originally passed over buying that pattern, but may do so if/when Simplicity patterns go on sale for $1.99 again. Will make it for a house dress, more of a loungewear garment. Your Hobby Lobby must carry more fabric than the one in my area (no. San Diego County), which doesn't carry the variety of stretch knit fabric that I've seen in fabric hauls on other YT channels. Then again, for some bizzarro reason, companies here that carry fabric don't seem to think there are as many garment sewists here as in other parts of the country. Cotton woven fabric (quilting cotton) is really easy to find, but beautiful knit fabrics not so much. Can't wait to see your pattern haul!!! 😊

Yes, I agree about the fabric selection. Quilting cotton is what you find in my area, too. Joanns - quilting cotton, Hobby Lobby, quilting cotton, and a few childrens pajama fabrics.

Grace, I really enjoy your sewing format and I like how you show your makes, your embroidery, your adventures, etc. Unlike many you tubers that show haul after haul after haul, but never show their makes, it gets tiresome because they never show makes. Thus I do not subscribe to, or end up unsubscribing. Don’t get me wrong, I like pattern and fabric hauls, but it would be nice to see them make/show SOMETHING they make. Please keep showing, modeling your makes, as it’s nice to see the outcome of your hauls. Do not feel pressured to have makes every single time because it will take the fun out of your channel. You are headed in the right direction and I see your channel growing. Glad you broke down your H.L. And JoA haul ..perfect.

This UA-cam thing is a lot of learning and a lot of work. I'm a sewist not a video editor! I'm learning. The BEST part of this experience is I to get to communicate with people like YOU!! My goal is to show at least 1 thing I made in each video. I try and so far it's working out. I'm not a learning channel. There are plenty of channel where you can learn different things. I've decided not to purchase that one shoulder Mimi G pattern, but your modelling of that pattern you made twice has changed my mind. I love it more with the sash though. I understand how happy you are that your granddaughter wants to learn to sew. I have a teenage daughter that also has shown interest in sewing. She is very into pretty accessories and clothing. My other daughter is not showing interest (yet), but that might change. I was forty when I started sewing, so she has plenty of time to come around. 😂😂
I'm so glad you changed your mind about the MimiG pattern. You will love it especially if you watch her tutorial. I did not read the instructions, I glanced at them and I followed MimiG. I forgot to mention that you could also make the dress as a beach coverup. It's in my top 5 patterns that I will probably make a 3rd time if I find some exciting fabric. I absolutely love it with the sash too! It's fun to influence a young one to sew. They get so excited! Thanks for watching! 🥰
Great video of your haul and make Grace. The dress looks lovely on you. I bought that pattern and it’s my next make! I have a tattoo on my left shoulder but it’s on the other side of the open shoulder in the pattern. When I watched Mimi’s video she said we can actually switch it!!! I’m going to do that. I may try it in a knit. I too like to put sashes on elastic waist things so I may try that too! Thanks for all you very pleasant, inspiring videos.

If you noticed, I made my first dress with the sleeve on the right side and the floral dress I made the sleeve on the left side. I switched it up too! I plan on making it again with another twist.
