What’s Sam’s club in China really like ?

- I visit Sam's Club Wholesale supermarket shop in Nanjing China. This Whole sale shop is a big US chain but they now have a few stores in some big Chinese cities. I look at the price of over 60 items to show you the cost of living in China. We see what it's like to visit a wholesale shop in China and how much everyday items cost. Many middle class people shop here. Many of the items I show in this video are items that have been imported. It is possible to buy local food items much cheaper in supermarkets and local stores here in China.

I am from Hong Kong and i was totally shocked when i went to Sam club Shenzhen, for it's size, crazy low prize, and the abundance of the items.
The prices are quite expensive for China. Are local markets cheaper?
Yes, much cheaper for vegetables and everyday food items. These are mostly imported products in Sam's Club and larger / bulk packets of products.
Yes, organic vegetables and fruits are indeed much more expensive than local supermarkets. But other products are not necessarily more expensive than local supermarkets. For example, beef imported from Australia and the United States is the same as in local supermarkets, about 40 to 45 yuan per pound, and the same is true for pork. Sam's Club seems expensive mainly because of the large quantity. If you only count the unit price, it is not much more expensive!
RMB49.90 for a watermelon?? That's daylight robbing. The watermelon at the local market is only RMB10.00 per gigantic watermelon. It's also sweet and nice.
