    I'm glad that you liked my country, it's food and it's people.
    I'm sure you would discover more of Tunisia. No one told you that Ulysses voyage or rather misfortune led him to set anker on the beach of Djerba. It is told that the lotus eaters, fruit so sweet it reminds of honey is non the less than the date fruit. So sweet that it could hypnotise you and forbid you from leaving the island….That for the mythology.
    I wonder if you've been to Carthage, El Djem or Sidi Bou Saïd. I promiss you that if you didn't, it's quite interesting to go investigate. Thank you for these lovely videos, you seem to have enjoyed yourselves. Bon voyage.

    I am sorry to break it to you , but Djerba is not north Africa's largest island ,, the largest island in north Africa is Tenerife I know Spanish people consider it Spanish , but (Tenerife is literally in north Africa). And the native people of Tenerife are the Guanches "berbers" (Amazigh's) before the Spanish invasion!

      @@RunTheAtlas I did they changed it back to Djerba , Don't believe anything in Wikipedia. Anyone can write in Wikipedia so for that reason no one should take it seriously. what you could do is not to promote this lies. And write Tunisia's biggest island instead.

    I heard once that If u wanna bargain u have to go straight to the 2/3 of the price if u r in the metropolitan (tunis)... i'm a local yet i don't discuss prices which r the same for tourists and locals, i just buy it or leave it...
    If u wanna visit tunisia, do not rush and get into the closest taxi to the airport.. make sure u know how the public transport wokrs, if someone wanna show u around and be ur tourist guide they won't charge u money, and if u r concerned bout that tell em that u ain't givin em money

    Just a small thing: it shouldn't be said 'it was built by the romans', but instead 'it was built in roman times'.
    Tunisia was the most latinised place after Rome. It wasn't 'colonised' by the romans, like it was by the french. You can say the 'french built this and that in tunisia' as tunisians were at that time really backward, and all engineering came from french/italians/russians. This is not the case in roman times.

    • @RunTheAtlas
      @RunTheAtlas  4 роки тому +2

      The island has a remarkable history. True it was not colonized by the Romans but they did set up a trading post and built the causeway to connect to the mainland nearly 2000 years ago. www.independent.co.uk/travel/news-and-advice/island-of-djerba-land-of-the-lotus-eaters-5328734.html

    Lots of Amazigh still living in Djerba Island And across Tunisia.
    In fact all Tunisian who claim to be Arabs 🤔 are of Amazigh- decent.
    The Amazigh who are the 1st to settle down in the Island followed by the Jewish ✡️ Then the Christians ✝️
    And the last are the A@&£ ☪️ 🙈
