Can You Boil Water in a Wooden Bowl? Does Water Boil In A Wooden Bowl? TKOR Boiling Experiment
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- Have you ever wondered: ‘Does water boil in a wooden bowl?’ TKOR has done some random experiments and in this video, we're seeing if it is possible to bring water to a boil in a wooden boil. Will the bowl catch on fire? Will it fall apart? We dive into the physics of boiling water and just how good of a vessel wood can be for boiling water. Hopefully this gives you an idea as to what can be used to boil water.
This awesome boiling wood experiment is great for those wanting to know if a wooden bowl can boil water, will you burn the bowl if boiling, what is boiling point, how to boil water, can you boil water in bamboo, or will a handmade wood bowl burn with water in it?
If you want to test something creative and entertaining or do an activity such as: science experiment, hone your bushcraft skills, survival skills, STEM project, STEM science experiment, science fair project, science fair experiment, or a fun weekend project...watch the video to learn more.
We also tested if you can boil water in its plastic bottle: • Is It Possible to Boil...

In some parts of my native country of Ghana we coat a calabash a naturally forming bowl from trees. basically wood, coat the outside in clay and it works pretty well as a pot. gives the food a smoky flavour. you should try that.

Welcome to UA-cam.
Make a series of multiple 2 minute ideas to make a 10 minute videos
You should try an untreated and wet wood bowl as the water than could permenantely permeate the wood and maybe would prevent the burning completely.
Will oobleck stay as a liquid, or turn into a semi-solid when put through a machine similar to the liquid sand machine?
This is a question actually worth doing

Woah ur everywhere

Yo Justin, I have a question for you, is your account ran by one or multiple people?
YOU ARE EVERYWHEREEEEE
Can u show us stuff that might actually be helpful?? All y’all show anymore is experiments like boiling stuff
Christian T. They can teach you some proper english sentencing if you want
Are you saying he needs to make his videos less Random?
This is useful if you are trapped and if you have a wood bowl(I’m not great at English) and a lighter and you have some water it can show you can’t heat water in a bowl
@@IIIRorschachIII You capitalized roast when it does not need to be, and used the ampersand the wrong way.
Christian T. Do you hope or now your going to heavan
You put hot stones into the bowl, and the water will boil without ruining the bowl on the first try....
They mention that in the end, but they said it wasn’t what they were trying to do.
@@SandraStar66 yeah, I couldn't watch that far. These videos are Beyond ridiculous these days.
Amber Ciofalo i’m with you, I’m getting a bit sick of them too
That would ruin the point. The heat wouldn't transfer from the bowl causing the water to boil but from the stones
@@tanlines4366 It would have highlighted a better point though, which is that a wooden bowl will hold water at temperature for a longer period of time when using the hot rocks method.

Please make some diy videos.. like the laser assisted blowgun 😧
They have devolved. If you want stuff like that go watch kipkay.
Try making "Starlite", a DIY heat insulator that can even prevent you from burning your hand with a blowtorch
You can do the same thing with stale bread. Not impressive tbh, go watch Cody's lab about the starlite. Its very easy to burn/cut through it.
Nobody can make legitimate starlite
Vivi mannequin I was refering to NightHawkInLight's recipe obviously
the secret of how starlite was made was taken to the grave...
how do you feel now?
What would happen if you set off a bunch of XXXL fireworks underground all at once? Would it be like setting off a land mine?
now boil a wooden bowl using a water
*Such Logic*
Your comment actually makes sense, it’s essentially saying put a wooden bowl in water and boil it
I think this would be easier in microwave
Does that not defeat the purpose of the experiment? At that point the microwave is boiling the water via direct heating to the water from the radiation. The purpose of the experiment is to see if the wood can conduct the heat through itself into the water.
Arguably, you could boil water in a metal bowl in the microwave, if not for the arcing and exploding caused by metal in a microwave) Assuming that particular reaction did not occur, they would yield the same result, as the causation of the boiling is by heating the water directly, not by heating the container.
@@trashcaster but it still technically counts as boiling water in a wooden bowl
Revi M Fadli it does, but that’s not content 😂
@@trashcaster i have an idea... put lots of different types of metal in the microwave and let it do it's thing overnigh
Thinking outside the box, I like
Try this again but with a coconut! It is one whole peice.
Yeah
Like the coconut shell
No
"Goodness gracious, great bowls on fire!"
The way to boil water in a wooden bowl is through the use of hot rocks, a primitive technique that uses rocks heated up by the fire that are then dropped into the bowl and water the boil is very quick too! You guys should try it out with a fire using the bowdrill from the previous video 🙂

Also they don't take video suggestions much anymore.
its sad
Because if they did they know that people are too happy right now. Especially with how Callie has taken over things. It took me a while to get used to Nate I don’t like her I fell she has a condescending tone and she just flirts with Nate the whole time

Isnt the outcome kinda obvious?

What would happen if you tried to mix slime with silicone, slime with epoxy, or silicone and epoxy?
You would get some goo that will eventually turn into not-goo.
@@jerotoro2021 That can be said about a lot of materials, like casting metals. I want to know the properties of these combinations. How gooey are they, are they rigid, etc.
@@GamiWorks69 do it yourself then? I mean its an obvious answer, which the man above you answered, but you rejected his answer because its not what you wanted. Just do it yourself and you'll find out man.
I wonder......
If a snail and a slug raced against one another who would win?
Now that's random
Depends on the destination of the race, as if they were racing home the snail would win every time.
Depends on the species. And more importantly, if you can make them go to where you want them to.
Can you try to melt glitter see if it melts and how it looks when melted?

Use an untreated porus wood bowl. Soak the bowl in water first. The water in the wood will keep it from burning, and will help transfer heat

Different woods have different densities. As such, a less dense wood such as Maple or Pine would have a higher insulation factor than more dense woods such as Ash or Oak. I don't know if you can acquire bowls made of more dense woods for this sort of testing purpose without having them custom made, but a comparison of the thermal transfer differences would be fascinating to see.
Guys, I really enjoy your videos, but I'd urge you to significantly edit this and carefully reconsider doing stuff like this in future. Particularly with the foundry, you put yourself at risk for a steam explosion if things go wrong.
You and Cassie should see what method is best for shrinking clothes via boiling / see how small you can get the clothes
