They worked in stone for thousands of years. I am interested in the structure of the carving and or art schools that have existed for thousands of years.

I didn't get a chance to see Uxmal last time I was in Yucatan, but I was at Dzibilchaltun, swam in Cenote Xlacah, and saw Templo de las Siete Munecas. I also went back to Chichen-Itza a second time and stayed until after dark to watch the light show.

What’s your take on mesoamerican sites that are more towards the central highlands?? Like Teotenango, Teotihuacán Cacaxtla etc ??
I’ve noticed that those sites tend to get waaaay less attention.

Yeah, the sites I mentioned are in located in parts of Mexico that are not so pleasant and touristy.
However,, sense you plan on filming lesser known Maya sites, are Santa Rosa Xtampak and Becán on your itinerary?? 👀

I just like to research sites. I guess you could say It’s more like a hobby than anything else.
Also, is interest in Mexican archaeology really that low that you’ve gotta be studying archaeology to know about the really cool sites?? That’s sad, wish more people would know about them just for the heck of it.
