Abasov is a great player in his own right, but this tournament really shows that top GMs are on a different level. Every lose I reviewed of his so far in the candidates shows how his opponents were able to execute slightly more accurate moves and ideas that lead to decisive advantages. Chess is such a grueling game.

Incredible how Gukesh passed from a seemingly dominated position to a really dominating one. Was Gukesh so strong or Abasov so weak?
