What a contrast to last week's 40deg heat. Quite an Atlantic climate in this week's episode, but lots of interesting things to see - especially for waterfall hunters. It's great to see you having such an interesting and enjoyable time.
Gosh I'm so far behind. Loved the platypus and the fig tree. I did note a bit of Shell advertising at the historical village, i hope this will be followed by some bp love in future episodes!
Hey guys, another great video, super informative! 😊 We’ve been away in our Crusader, no internet, so have just caught up with your last 3 episodes.... thanks! We were in Atherton a few years back when staying at Port Douglas (no van). Yes, a beautiful place. Looking forward to next week’s PD episode. Plenty of bars there Chris, haha 😀 Take care, safe travels. Lyn & Corrie
We didn’t end up getting to Lawn Hill unfortunately, at the time we decided it was far too hot around there, especially for Archie!! We’ll have to get back there another time as we definitely wanted to see it!!
I have a Historic Connection to the Palmerston Highway. My Great Grandpa was put in charge of building it. When immigrating from Finland with His Family He left a War Torn Country. It was around the time of WWI and The Russian Revolution. They'd just won their Independence from Russia and many Families were struggling to survive. His Wife was Russian from a Village not far from Saint Peterborough and of Mongolian and Chinese Decent. He'd slowly but surely built a road between Malanda and Upper Barron for His Families use to start with. The Government was so impressed that they put Him in charge of Highway Construction. They were impressed to the degree of telling Him that He could invite His Friends to Immigrate and Help Him at Their Expense.
