You missed the lion imp mask to the left when you ride the spike thing up
When you are in the catacombs, right after making the "death jump" if you ride all the way up instead of dropping behind the basilisk state you get the lion imp helm.
Can you timestamp this? I’m about to start these catacombs

Also: eternal sleep pots work wonders on the rune bears. They fall asleep with just one pot and you can get some easy hits on them without them immediately waking back up.
Did the same thing and it made the double bear fight a complete cake walk!! Used it on the bear boss fight too !!! lol amazing strat 🙌🏽

@@GrandeJano hold L2 to make it do the spooky noise and it will shroud you in a black cloud that temporarily stops the blight build up.

Another interesting aside, any spell that makes you invisible will hide you from the death statues. Funily enough, so does items that change your form, such as the mimic item you pick up in Stormveil. Its fun to avoid death as a candle.

Tried the mimic veil today and was definitely still being hit by the statues. I wonder if it was patched recently
It seems to only work for a period of time. It will then catch on and even when you're mimic form, you'll still receive damage
**Important tip:** The only way to defeat the eyeball statues that cause Death Blight is to hit them with the Black Knife's Blade of Death skill. You can render them useless with just one hit. 😌

At about 6:00 when Cowboy is fighting the Red Pests, the Sacred Relic Sword and its Wave of Gold works wonders on them, especially if you have been keeping up with fragments. About two hits and they're done, really helps since they all seem to be found in groups here.
I had no problems as a strength build with my golden halberd either.

At 14:21 if you run a little further north along that little cliff, there is a body with a set of armor, Gloried Attire. Btw, I love your content. If it wasnt for your channel, I wouldnt have gotten through vanilla Elden Ring and now you're doing the same for Shadow of the Erdtree. Im also watching your Lords of the Fallen series. Amazing stuff and thank you!

Anyone having trouble making that jump onto the platform that goes to the “death jars” you can instead just run the ledge (before making the jump, look to the wall on your right) all the way across. It also doesn’t fill up your death meter.

Love your vids. to anyone whos struggling. The death knights can be bullied extremely easy. Two good weapons to bully them and keep them on the ground are the Marikas hammer, and the blasphemous blade. just spam the special of either and the knight will be knocked down pretty much the whole fight.

The part with the morning v ornis battle was great. Cowboy turned into a WWE Play by Play announcer. You could actually hear the joy and humor in his voice. It was great. This walk through you cam hear poor CB has had to redo a lot, and he really is quite bored going through this WT. So the surprise moments are great. I often feel bad, like I'm dragging CB by his collar to show me through this. We love and appreciate ya CB.
When fighting Rugalea the Great Red Bear, mine had golden eyes so I got one million runes, lmao
At 22:20 you don't need to get on top of the spike trap. Directly ahead of you there's a ledge that runs along the wall all the way to the other side.

@MrClauried I was having a hard time with that jump. It's 10 seconds longer but it takes you right where cowboy goes, just an easier way. You don't miss anything. You get all the same loot. What are you talking about?!?!

Yooo the fletched lightning arrows shot right on the water literally does the same damage to 8 at once it’s so insane! I took multiple clips and they’re all in water
I read you can use the black knife skill to disable those death eye things. Going to have to try it out tonight, but would make it easier for sure!
Can confirm. At 22:32 when right next to it I clipped the statue itself with the black knife L2 and it stopped building death blight up

There is a what I think is a bugged way to deal with death statues. If you use the Black Knife skill to hit the black eyes of the statues they stop working, works on both stationary and moving ones, it's just harder to freeaim the skill to hit the eyes

22:22 if you cant make that jump, theres a ledge to CB's right. Just walk across and youre not affected by the death stare. Much much easier.
I couldnt jump on top of those spikes to save my life.

Little tip if you dont have a lot of rejuvenating boluses. The Lamenting Visage torch skill keeps you from getting seen by the death build up eyes as well.

If anyone is curious you can turn off the death statues by hitting each eye with the ash of war on the black knife. You're obviously gonna have to be close range but at least the statues won't bother you again after that
Really enjoying the walkthroughs, great job cowboy! In the catacomb 22:09 , you can ride both death traps to get access to two different loots! Not sure if both loots worth it tho, but one is an imp head, which is cool!
The Spirit Ash play-by play was great, a throwback to the Mimic on Mimic from the base walkthrough

You can use crepus’s vial to sneak past the bears at 12:20 only problem is the bear on right wakes up if you get close so you have to be quick or hide behind cover when he wakes up
22:32 hit the eyes with the black blade and it kills them and stops the death build up. Also ride the spike elevator all the way up for the imp head.
imp head lion missed and ghost 6, in the double ceiling nail trap room. access by ladder than jumping on top of each trap
In the beginning when your going up the stairs in the ruins if you turn around theres a spirit guy with a pot above his head that disappears, its one of the special ones

22:25, there's an easier (for me) way to do this, just past the statue there's a ledge you can jump to that takes you to the secret room.
I think you missed the imp head lion and a grave 6 in the catacombs. Ride up the falling traps on the first level to get them.
Level with stationary death statue. Might need the torch or boluses.
The lion imp head has actually really good stats and increases vigor.
Death Knight...could not get a second to attack. So, I did the only respectible thing left to do and went in overloaded. Moore's armour set, sheild and a heavy hitter. Worked a treat.
I’m not the 1st person to say this and I didn’t come up with it but you can disable the death eyes by hitting them with the Black Blade spell.
For those Evil Eye things that give off Death Blight, you can actually "kill" them (turn them off) with either the Black Knife (with Blade of Death) or Maliketh's Black Blade (with Destined Death). Key is obviously Death. They will still appear to be there, but they won't give off death any more. It only takes 1 hit since they only have 1 HP to lose.

At 22:32 I read that if you use the Black Knife’s skill “Blade of Death” on the death eyes. It disables them. I gotta try now.
EDIT: it worked for me! But only on the ones that moved. And you had to hit them with the skill from behind
They will also smoke when they "die"

Thanks to everyone for their tips on the death statutes. I used the mimic veil for the death jump and turned into a stone casket and it was sooo slow getting to the edge to make the jump but it was all good and killed the statute with the Blade skill and got the imp head!
Ornis coming in clutch to finish off the job when we all thought he was dead is the perfect example of your summon coming in clutch 🤣🤧
I just discovered that eternal sleep pots are the way to go with Rune bears. It's amazing! One pot and they fall asleep and you can get massive hits on them. They wake up, hit them with another pot, and repeat. Absolutely destroys them!

Maliketh's black blade worked wonders against the dual rune bears. the weapon art would swing wide enough to hit both and would stagger them both down allowing for head hits
those two runebears caused me so much frustration, i think in the last episode you said something about your balls rolling into your stomach. now i can relate

Casters, pest thread spears on horseback is an excellent option for the rune bears

3:54 I guess this bit is a nostalagic recall to the mimic vs mimic in the base game walkthrough
for anyone having trouble with the bears, i was able to just lure them away. then when they drop aggro they are typically in a slightly different spot, letting you sneak up and getting the items
Both elevator spike traps can be rode up. One is ghost glovewart which is nbd but the other one nearest the ghost death eyes can be rode up to get a new imp helm which is pretty cool.
The skill for the Black Knife also disables Blight Statue. I stood behind the statue and hit L2 making sure the animation somewhat cuts across the eyes. Tested it out and was running across the walkway with no Blight triggered.
I know you're done with the Forges at this point, but the Crystal Darts work on those golems too. And 15 seconds later, you said that on the video. But it does work. I used the darts to help with the pair at the last Forge while farming for the fist weapon.
I used the Bolt of Gransaxs unique skill against the death eyes and that’s worked for me. So it’s not just death, just try your luck.
Dude those rune bears were harder than rugalea the great red bear. I almost lost 1mil runes trying to escape them 2. Finally got em plus the items on the rock and skidaddled tf outta there.
Yeah all the rune bears in the area are uber strong. I died more to them than the great red bear there too

So in my play through, in the Scorpion River Catacombs, where the statue is beaming you with death, you rode the elevator to get behind it. Well that same elevator, if you rode it up you would get the Imp Head (Lion)
Vykes war spear actually worked well against the death knight for staggers with the spear talisman, guard counter talisman and also the guard break crystal tear in your wondrous physick.
Right before the bear boss fight after the 2 rune bears you fought there was the armour of Leather Wraps on a corpse you missed. The chest piece called Gloried Attire
These catacombs are just like super Mario bros. Castles. With the falling spikes, Canon imps

Note to all fellow tarnished you can stop the eyes by using destined death or blade of death ,but it will reset if you rest at grace you have to use those attacks again to stop the eyes from building death blight

Rather than using Rejuvenating Boluses, you can also use Order Healing, which is cheap to cast and unlimited, unlike the bolueses, which cost very rare, limited materials to make.
I fucking rolled into a wall where a message said “death” and made me glitch out of the catacombs just to be killed
You can use black blade on the death gaze golems do the l2 directly into the statue 5 times or so and it will “kill” the eyes. No more death build up.
There are 2 items on top of the spike traps. One is a ghost 6 and one is the lion imp head.
Order Healing incantation also helps in the Scorpion River Catacombs if you don't have a lot of rejuvanating death boluses as it cures death.
Dont forget to read messages, a couple ambushes
You can disable the Basilisk Eyes with Maliketh’s Blade or the Black Knife. The death element can “kill” the eyes
“Otherwise you just go in and you beat his ass” this was easily, EASILY a top 3 hardest fucking bosses in the DLC for me. Absolutely unreal

@22:10 go to the left out of site of the statue. Walk along the wall to the railing. Walk up to rail and jump up on the trap. Ride to the top. Go left and pick up LIONS HELM item. The. Drop and continue…
There is an armor set, just south of the rock guarded by the two Rune bears. It is the “Gloried Attire”.
For Rune Bears, I ran around with Torrent and baited them to hit each other, and it seems to be a guaranteed stagger from their own hits. They went down pretty quick when they accidentally hit each other lol
Great tip. I remember when I discovered the two sword lions in Castle Redmane's courtyard will kill each other too. 😊

Hey dude you missed an important head and something else when you ride the top of the spike elevator traps. At the top of each one is a ledge and treasure.
if you have access to some faith(easily with talisman/equipments), use the black knife dagger AoW(Blade of Death) on the eye, and it will kill them permanently
