  • Terra Invicta is a game where you control one of eight human factions fighting to gain influence and wrestle control over Earth and the solar system while aliens are on their way to enslave mankind, and everyone wants to be on the right side of history.

I like these kind of alien invasion independence day inspired computer games but i just wish we weren't locked into only playing the human side.

Well, you can still play as one of their allies

I mean, just like playing the alien side, on Terra Invicta with the aliens is like starting as a fallen empire in Stellaris if you can just kill them or just block certains spots on lets say mercury mars congrats you effectively destroyed any possible resistance earth could do agaisnt you winning and thats the case even if the game was multiplayer and all factions decided to help eachother even the bad ones to win agaisnt the aliens it wouldn't work

I always had a faint interest in this game, the concept is very interesting.

The game having a massive grind part in it?
Makes sense this was made by the dudr who made thr long war

The grind is not what's bad about it. This game is great, but space is simply a slog. The pacing is exhausting, and thr UI is tiring

Nice video! Your presentation was really good and the video really enjoyable!
My only critique is that the intro should be shorter, as new time viewers will mainly come for the game ;3
Other than that, a really nice video! Well done!

Been interested in TI, since the premise is pretty neat and the gameplay seems similar to other titles I generally enjoy (Stellaris, Civ, Eve), but seems really sus they keep running specials on an early release title.

i see why people say that. But the gameplay is very different. Like, there is a management-gameplay in TI, but literally 60% of the gameplay is "assign councillor to RNG-mission" then click "end turn". Its frustrating to wait for a probe to reach Jupiter ,which takes over a year, which means i have to click "end turn" over 30 times.

I'm afraid the Humaity First Cyber Asassins are on their way to your location, sympathising or encouraging moderation in dealing with Aliums is a death sentence I'm afraid. Col. Hans Castillo send his regards.

I am afraid that you are too late. One of our Councilors has already secured him, also your Cyber Assassins have been found attacked by an army, nuked, and bombarded from orbit. Also, one of your Councilors was oddly found in a ditch on fire don't know who did this crime though... probably the Servants

@Mechs_With_Hands are you threatening to send more Assassins? The higher ups in the Academy will hear about this.... also while we are enemies of Humanity First we can agree the Protectorate and the Servants suck right?
I know this is just for fun and that is the best bit

This is a very fun game so far, quite slow, but I'm enjoying it. Took me 40 hours to build my first ship, and another 5 to engage in combat the first time. That certainly could be faster but still. There are definitely some pacing issues throughout, moments were things are too slow or fastbut it's quite enjoyable nonetheless. I've yet to make it to the lategame but I hope that's been smoothed out some since this video. Regardless I look forward to the challenge

I really enjoy Terra Invicta, but there's something just off about it's gameplay that doesn't encourage me to complete a playthrough. I end up starting new ones, trying to improve on my startup and early game but get bogged down or bored in the mid/late game. I probably just have a greater issue with longer form strategy games as I have the same problem with Factorio, satisfactory, and EU4. But on the flipside I'll do world conquests in HOI4 into the 1950s and I've completed Dyson Sphere Program multiple times...so Maybe there's just a fundamental gameplay feature i'm not latching onto

I'm just saying, if there's an exterminatus action the space section would be a *lot* shorter

    • @bluu.0111
      @bluu.0111 Рік тому +4

There used to be two months ago. The Meta was sending out ships with nukes that the aliens couldn't catch because of high thrust and fuel storages, because the way the game is coded the bombardment fleet gets the first shot. If the first shot is a nuke, you win. Now, if you want exterminatus, they calculated that you need 20 battleships bristling with bombardment lasers and 600 frontal armor... which is also good enough to win any space engagement! So, you can still steamroll the enemy.

it really breaks abit of the heart with the two stages of the game being that different.

bruh you are just playing the game to slow you need to rapidly take over bigest nations on earth and then dump massive amouts of investment points in to economy priority and over time it will become very powerful and in terms of space you need to focus on industry as much as you can i only strugeld with alien ships dystroing my fleets in the begining so as soon as i built colony's on IO wich has a lot of noble metals for armor and ammo my fleet just keept on increasing and increasing and my losses are almost non existant because i just keept spaming titans in the hundreds wich are all equipped with phaser point defence systems and UV phaser beams but with my third generation of titans i replased them with spinal plasma canons and antimatter drives and phaser point defence turrets and just used overwelming force to destroy the aliens and because a just keep on using a wall formation and not moving them from fromation all of them where protected by the PD net of all of the ships so my losses where almost 0 (i think i lost only about 20 titans out of something like 400 built and that number whas taken from something like 50years of in game time gameplay) because the aliens mainly use kinetic or missle weapons wich can be intercepted by PD turrets (and if any one is curious as to my production of space resorces as of 2080 it is about 2k water ,1k volotiles , 5k base metals , 1.5k nobel metals , 100 fissiles , and 0.85 antimatter per month)(and my fleet power is some thing like 100k from only titans)
