I was surprised that mine was actually 'overweight' I guess I just got overzealous adding litter one day, but this video did help me figure out the problem. Thank you!
The only solution for me is repeatedly clicking reset which is not convenient at all. Its come to the point where every cycle is this way . This is month 7 since purchase
I’m on my second base unit because of this issue. Now my warranty is out and it’s doing it again. $600+ for a device that only lasts 1 year max at a time before needing a new base. I like it when it’s working but I wouldn’t purchase another one. My dishwasher cost less and last longer. My refrigerator cost less and has last longer. Same for my washer, dryer, microwave and freezer. They are way more complex too. The idea is great but they are skimping on quality for profits.

For something that costs over $700, I expect it to work and work well for A LOT longer than that!! I'm not going to replace anything unless they send it to me at no charge. If they give me any problems about it when I call them, I'll start a class action lawsuit because I've seen A LOT of people with this same issue in the same timeframe. It's completely ridiculous and absolutely unacceptable. You know the replacement parts aren't going to be cheap either. And wait, what?! Replacing parts on something not even a year yet?! Yeah, I don't think so! Oh, we'll cause this to go bad in about 6 months and then they'll need a new motor and that's going to be at least $100/motor?! They're raking in the dough every 6 months!! 🤬

This problem just started when i changed litter to the walnut shell litter. Now evey rotation is an issue. Definitely going back to dr. Elseys to see if that clears it up

When i first got my litterRobot last year i had an issue kind of similar. Turns out there's a metal disc underneath the soft plastic where the litter sits. It had somehow gotten out of the holder and was screwing up the rotation. I just took that rubber piece off, put the disc back in and it's worked fine up until a couple weeks ago for a different problem. Hope this helps anybody!

I have had nothing but problems with the over torque since I got it and I have followed all of the instructions correctly.

We are experiencing the same exact thing. Almost every cycle has the issue now. I think we got ours 7-8 months ago.

On my third motor now. Luckily warranty covered it. I dont have high hopes it will last though :/
