    PRODUCT INFORMATION
    Our highest level of rod technology; ever!
    The torque busting technology of X45X, not only aids accuracy but but more importantly converts the highest levels of rod energy into your cast.
    Combine this 'wizardry' with High Volume Fibre that is morphed together with nano scale reinforcements throughout the resin and you get a level of blank strength and performance that is hard to believe.
    But we have gone further than that; by applying our World exclusive AGS carbon guides. They weigh 'nothing' by comparison to metal equivelants, coming in at around 70% lighter!
    This delivers two effects; ultra light handling and a super quick recovery.
    The best 'sculpture' though has been reserved for the handle. The amazing ALPS Air Pad reel seat is 'skeletal', light, refined and provides a truly fabulous sense of grip in the hand. Following down, we have crafted the AIR logo into a section of Duplon, that meets what is possibly our slimmest ever profile of Armlock in cork. This is followed by a short section of Duplon that kicks back up in diameter at the rear.
    The range is four feeder beauties; a conventional 10' and 11' version, complimented by two dual length options of 10'/11' and 12'/13'.

    Would have been great to see some line through the rings in the shop compressing the blank fully to show the action from a full side profile. Amazing rods - maybe one day if I win the lottery!!

      Hi Paul I do show this in the video both playing a fish & casting towards the end. Also check these 2 videos both using the rod.

      @@Angling4U Thanks Ben. I’ll take a look at the videos. Does look like a great bit if kit that if looked after would last a lifetime. Interested in the action as finding my much loved Shimano Areocast feeder rods feeling a little under gunned with regular 8-10lb carp.

    is it ok to use braid on these rods for bream, or would you say not because of the carbon guides?

    Superb rods Ben no doubt about it regardless off price people will always buy expensive rods,poles,etc personally I wouldn't only because I don't really do any feeder fishing but there's many people who do .if I'd got a spare 5 grand I'd by a top end pole it's all down to value for money plus daiwa don't make bad rods never have that's exactly why people will buy them.

    • @Angling4U

      Very true matey. Its interesting to fish with something i normally wouldn't.

      I have a daiwa ninja 10ft pellet waggler rod ,you say daiwa don’t make bad rods well this one makes a complete mess of my main line ,I’ve tried all the different makes from expensive to cheap lines and gone from .016 to.023 and after catching a few decent carp the line is twirly for about 3-4 mtrs it’s hopeless had it back to wickersley they tell me there’s nowt wrong ,but I also use a drennan acolyte a Preston ignition and a shimano x5 and these are fine on all different diameters and makes of line ,so my assumption is daiwa do make crap rods and charge you for it .

    Gone the original 9/10ft. Incredible rods, next one will be the new 12/13 later this year. As i mainly feeder fish now , well worth the money. 😁

    Brilliant video Ben as usual but £600 for a rod is daylight robbery as for the locking ring on reel seat is not a new thing my first rod 46 years ago had that and quiver tip in plastic sleeve. How much are tips when you snap them in your holdall. Yes diawa gear is excellent but I'm afraid on this one they're well off the mark I'm sorry to say maybe worth £300

    Nice looking rod Ben and as you say you buy to your budget. Would l buy one? No l can't justify £500+ for a rod. Reels well l do have two Tournaments. and they are sublime.I prefer the black cosmetics and the neoprene handle knob on the TDR and TDM is not for me. I think that anyone buying the rod will be very impressed by the technology the action looks brilliant but l am super impressed with my MAP Ultra ll feeder rods and have spent my money on a pair of 10' SUV's. ls the Air twice as good as my Ultras ? l will never know.

    • @Angling4U
      @Angling4U  2 роки тому

      Yeah I have had the maps lovely rods. For me this was a test into the unknown to see what benefit i really get.

    • @davidsmith2663
      @davidsmith2663 2 роки тому

      @@Angling4U I totally understand that and l was very pleased to see it tested by an unbiased angler. The handles on Diawa rods are too long for me so l would never buy one , but it was good to see the rod in action and as you say top quality. Your test is the nearest I'll be getting to the Air. Foot note had the handle been 50mmshorter then l would have gone to look at one .

    Be good to compare against a free-spirit Hi-s 10ft carp feeder rod! free spirit blanks are spot on and rod around £250 less money!

    • @richardshiner977
      @richardshiner977 2 роки тому

      I have both, the Daiwa has a crisper and more responsive blank. Iove my Hi's feeder rods, the Air however is the next level.
      I find the tips on the Air more sensitive on bites, i use the Air for silvers now mainly. 😁

    Previous AGS are much more better than this new Z AGS… old AGS are faster, this AGS Z are more softer.
    Maby for carp fishing in UK its ok, but for feeder fishing in Europe old AGS are more better than this new one.
