When the bill came to my attention I was feeling it's appeal because of its proposed opposition to TicTok. Then as Sen. Massie points out, other undesirable features of the bill made me stop supporting it.

Polls mean nothing in March. Trump has a dedicated fixed core. He must expand it to win. Biden needs to get his voters to the polls. A lot, good and bad can happen to both before Nov. This topic has been building for some time.

I just saw NC (R) Representative Dan Bishop give a great speech on why congress cannot and shouldnot ban TikToc, on Cspan.
My Thoughts: Government has no constitutional authority to tell the Public what computer apps they may or may not have on their phone/computer. Congress can specify what is on Government phones, but Not Private persons phone. If TikTok is bad, it is the Parents' responsibility to decide what apps can be on a child's phone.
Please don't regulate social media or the internet. Let the free market decide. Let the 1st amendment decide.

I understand the wanting to ban an entire app but if this gets approved what would be next? We need to spread a message to choose for yourself of whether or not you should use the app at all. This country allows you your own choices and if you don’t like the app then don’t use it. I don’t even like tiktok but they shouldn’t be allowed to collect our private data.
It’s a national security threat and social media is cancerous. It’s doing far more damage than good. Bringing everyone together and telling everyone their opinion matters is exactly how the USA is so confused over Israel and Palestine, supplying both sides of a war with funding. We are treating the conflict in Israel and Palestine like a game of Chess, it’s disgusting.

US owned apps do that already. There are solutions talked about regarding tiktok that are being all but completely ignored.
It's OBVIOUS we the people can't be left to our own decisions. We make bad ones all the time and the spooky government/president whoever, needs to step in and guide us in the right direction. I'm all for that.
