  • 2010 Nissan Maxima -- I had to replace the front lower engine mount (large one). I was experiencing some noise, jerking, and hard shifting issues that mimicked transmission, wheel bearing, or cvt axle issues. The Lower mount was shot and I had gone through two torque mounts due to the damage lower mount. After replacing the large lower engine mount the issues where 97% resolved -- much better now. Car runs like new again.
Parts - Beck / Arnley Front Engine Mount $65.00 versus the $250 nissan mount and the autozone/orielly beck /arnley mount for $150. Dealer quoted of over $500 for the this job. The job actually cost $65.00 B&A Mount ordered online.

Oem used all da way. Hey there Oem. . Hey brother I noticed Afther replacing them m mounts my hose from the raidiator began to leak a small drip Wen I turn off car. Just minor 2 drops or so. So cud it b the movement coursed that to move ? Another question To get to the lower hose that connect to raidiator is a bitch due to it being in a hard position. Is it posible to replace the clamps with out removing the entire bumper. Two sections drip alil. One upset on da t neck were u fill it the one connecting to the raidiator nd the lower one both connect to raidiator. But the positions r hard to Gt to u hve the same car. Can u hlp me out to get to it Upper small hose refill area dat go to raidiator n lower go to raidiator

How can you tell when it's worn out? Is it when you change gears or something else

Kingzley ...not exactly sure, but if you're getting jerking when shifting or whatever, it's gotta be the Front or Rear...b/c even if the Upper Right Torque Rod is shot, & there's that much of a jerking sensation for u to feel it?? Then something beyond the Torque Rod (at least the upper one, but probably lower Rod too) is dead...guess it could also be the Right mount too. I think we have 6 total supports:
      - Front Mount
      -Rear Mount
      -Right Mount
      -Upper Right Torque Rod Insulator
      - Lower Right Torque Rod Insulator
      - Lower Left Transmission Insulator (or Mount not sure)
Beyond the Upper Right Torque Rod (& perhaps the Lower Left Trans support), the rest are expensive as chit! (Just the part too... service cost even worse).

I just replaced the torque mount on my 2011 maxima. It had the car riding as if it were bottoming out rubbing the tires. A lot of rough vibrations when it dipped. I though it was the suspension. I noticed the torque mount had cracked and was just replacing it. Didnt knowxtat itcwas the cause of my issues.

take the radiator out and don't take a chance of breaking the new mount. They have oil in them

Brother u kind of made it alil
More difficult. U cud hve just remove the fan raidiator &. Torque mount . Simple Replace it. Done . I Didint hve to remove. Battery. Tpm. But. Every one does it dif. Also. Better to go to a local Mivhanic. Shop around job cost about $100. $120. Cus this car from 2009. Up is more work Also don’t buy cheap Ebay mounts btr to get a. Use Oem mount from eBay that will last u at lease 5 Years then a Afther market that brake in 5 months
