"is it doing too much? I dont know because i dont ask myself those kind of questions!" This is low key GOLD. 😂 I love your personality. Unapologetically YOU❤😎
I want to try a Trudon and fornasetti candle and a fornasetti room spray but I am sure my husband will have me committed if he knew what I paid. I found a Trudon room spray and received it last night and I was blown away how beautiful it smelled. Mine is the tangerine and grapefruit spray and it smells like fresh citrus. I also got it niche beauty for under $200.00 I also use a wick trimmer like you have in rainbow metal with matchup wick lifts and snuffed. I use it regularly. I love using matches. It is almost a tiny therapeutic experience. I like my electric lighters but i forget to charge them so I go back and forth between electric lighter and matches. My lighter does not last nearly as long as yours. As far as coffee table Books i typically love vintage books that are leather bound. But my favored is leather bound journals. I love to repurpose when I can. Lowes, Menards and places like they have stunning genuine stone, marble, granite and slate 4”x4” tiles. I add peel and stick thin black craft foam and make my own natural element coasters for drinks and candles. And people love when I gift them. Oh, being cheap I bought matches and added them to a candle cloche from a candle I used up. Added a strike pad sticker and for the price of matches I had what would have cost me $40 elsewhere. My friend gifted me her old bath and body works candle jars so I could use them for crafting up-cycles. Clean them out. Peel off the sticker. Attached a decorating metal knob or metal, wood or plastic flower or something similar to the top to hide the B&BW emblem. It also makes a great handle to take off the lid to your new match holder. Add a strike sticker to the bottom of the lid and a custom made candle holder awaits. I repurpose these containers also for things like seashells, colored sea glass, gemstones and crystals etc., and add seed lights for a pretty light. Also great for cotton balls, q-tips, smaller candles, small soaps, fragrance samples, soap petals and soooo much more.
Your channel has been extremely informative for me. New subscribers…I now realize that I was not purchasing clean or healthy candles. Thank you! What do you think of Banana Republic and target candle?
I found a 3 piece wick set Aldi supermarket set for $7.98 in black, gold, and silver. It is a good set I tested it for a week. I went back to purchased them all and they went to 5.98.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I purchased 7 of them for the holidays.
@@snmpvamu People better stop sleeping on Aldi. Also they had a big candle for 29.99 it smeel good the cashier saud if I purchased it and if doesn't smell, I can return it. I purchased some candle from them last year because people were comparing it to Jo Malone and they smell so good it filled my whole living room. I stocked up and used them all.
Thank you for the tips. After watching many of your videos I can't help but looking at the beautiful painting of a child sniffing a flower. I wonder if you would do an apartment tour and tell a bit of the painting? x
Enjoyed this video! Nail clippers work fine for those really starting to get into candles/being cheap and lazy not getting a candle kit lol. I have graduated to a proper candle kit 😂 Thanks for sharing 💕
I would love to see a video on how you clean your enclosure or how you clean your wax items. I picked up the suggested wick dipper and found I love the items. Now i just find myself trying to figure out the ideal ways to clean ny new tools. Thank you again for all you do to keep up in the know. BTW i took your advice and picked up Langston candle by Harlem and I LOVE IT.
Clicked the video for candle accessory ideas. Finished the video feeling like I've learned the contents of a whole book about something very interesting. As someone who loves and appreciates fragrances of all sorts, this video is packed with useful ideas. Keep it up. =)
I love my wick trimmers. I have one plus an electric lighter in each room in my apartment. Long wooden matches are classy and I have some but most of the time I use my lighters. Just found your channel and subbed! Looking forward to your candle content.
Thank you so much for explaining what the dipper is for! I never knew you could put out the candle with it I’ve been using the snuffer and choking on the smoke lol
Thank you for this! I love wick dipping or wax swirling. I was glad you mentioned the possibility of breaking the wick when dipping - it does depend on the type of wick. Thank you, I enjoyed this video. ❤️
Hi Rakeema!! Another absolutely great video! I really follow all of your recommendations.. And believe me my Candles are a lot happier 😂 I have my eye on a cire trudon cloche.. it has been out of stock for a while 😞. Going to see that one in Amazon. I also have matches and electric lighter, I prefer the electric lighter just because I don’t not like the burning smell of the match 😂 Love your videos! ❤️❤️
Just found your channel and this is the absolute best video I have ever seen on candle accessories. I will definitely be getting a wick dipper seeing all of its uses now and picking up a few more domes. I have everything else in antique or handmade form which I feel really adds to the experience. You don't need to get any of these things overnight and Etsy, Ebay, and local artists are always great resources to tap.
Have you ever tried an archipelago candle? I got a whiff of one that was bought for a teacher as a Xmas gift. Black Forest, and the cold throw lingered in the air. Felt so soothing. I see they have a sale on diffusers, but I'm inexperienced in using those. I'm quite the novice if you couldn't tell.
Thanks so much for your very informative videos! I have a question about using matches and lighters to light candles. In one of your previous videos you showed the use of a Hestia Magic Candle Warmer, and featured the benefits of using one. However, using matches seems to contradict that. Do you use both, or are you just illustrating various ways to melt the wax?
I am just getting into candles and making them look good in my space. Im going to get the accessories from your list. I have never tried Diptyque candles. in your honest opinion is it worth the splurge? is the scent that much better and last longer?
What do we do new candle wick? It is literally hard to trim with wick trimmer, I cannot find answers. Unless specified. But the candle wicks are hard to trim on a new candle and I noticed scissors (sharp) for hair get cleanest cut. But I’ve ruined some candles I think by cutting too short and I now burn the surface and put out, then I will trim regularly with the same wick trimmers you have. Thanks for telling me how to put out with dipper cuz I don’t like the way of the bell thing either
10:11 that looks handmade and like very nice wood, looks expensive! I need to get things to put candles on and of candles are not good after 2mo in box does that mean we should not buy extra when we can? Cuz I’d rather have candles than go weeks without during a sale I can stock up on but will they lose the smell if they’re unopened & in a drawer I keep closed not in humid area? And good closure not airtight but close.
NO SMOKE from a candle if you just keep a little Q Tip near by. Saturate the Q tip both ends and cool to hard. Next time candle needs extinguishing, simply dip Q Tip into liquid wax and deftly bring it up the wick, drowning flame In liquid wax. Put Q Tip away to cool, unseen. Simple- no smoke.
My 1st luxury candle set arrived today (Harlem Candles) thank you for all of your videos I didn’t know where to start. Might treat myself to a nice Cire turdon candle for my bday 10/19 LIBRA SEASON IS APPROACHING 🥳🥳 bye bye bath and body works 😵💫

Thank you so much!! Ernesto from Cire Trudon.
You got me when you said Jo Malone and Diptyque. 😎

Love your channel. Have you smell the Amass candle? More specifically The Art of Staying In.
Just found you and have been really enjoying your content.😊❤
Very interesting and love the way you care about doing things the right way. What do you recommend for wax melts?

Any thoughts on using wax warmers instead of burning the candles?

what camera and lighting you're using to get that quality?
Sony a7iii and an Aputure 120dii
matches are eco-friendly-ish
