The fact that men were never taught how a woman's body works is a huge issue. When we have politicians saying that the baby is just floating around in there and it's not attached to Mom or if she gets raped that her whole body can just shut that pregnancy down is insane. Every gender should know how people's bodies work
the fact that many people were never taught that the life of a new human being starts at fertilization is a huge issue...
mathildeyoung1823
That’s one religions thought. Other religions and other humans consider life to begin at birth
@@mathildeyoung1823 So you're ok 2/3rds of those fertilized embryos never attaching to the uterine wall, flowing out with menses, with 25% of those embryos that do attach spontaneously self-aborting after a few weeks or months?? You consider all of those "human" life?
@@emilyfeagin2673 what other species would a human fetus (a mammal) be a member of if not the human species (note: the only current member of our species is the human being)?
Back when I was in high school we took health classes in our freshman year. Both girls and boys were in the class. Among the topics, we learned about the reproduction system and venereal diseases. So the men I grow up with know how stuff worked in both their body and women's. So I don't know when boys/men got pushed out of the conversation or why but they were definitely at the table back then.
The loss of privacy rights and bodily autonomy effects all of us
Repealing Roe v Wade undid Griswold v Connecticut at the same time.
@@KerryLuckett
I will have to look that up-and I will. Thank you!
@@KerryLuckett no it didn't
How is it privacy and bodily autonomy? What about the child’s body?
@@KerryLuckett It pretty much flies in the face of the precedent set by McFall v Shimp, too. If a woman can be forced to let a fetus have use of her uterus without her consent in order to allow the fetus to live, doesn't that mean Shimp should have been forced to let McFall have use of his bone marrow without his consent in order to allow McFall to live? Lawful compulsion to allow someone use of your organs (uterus, kidneys, plasma, platelets, blood) without your consent is a slippery slope. If it's your body, it is your choice what to do with it. People may find it morally reprehensible to allow another life to end by not consenting but it should still be your choice.
@ jamesissmiling is correct: We all need be concerned every time a bureaucracy summarily removes any citizen’s individual liberty without due process of law. Doesn’t matter if you’re feminine, masculine, or neutral: we’re all just people, and need to stand united together. We are all born with the inclination to be free. The first and last freedom must be over our own bodies, minds, and decisions we each make while living out our peaceful lives in the pursuit of happiness.
If Americans don’t defend American Citizens Individual Liberty: nobody else will.

The fact that lawmakers can dictate medical decisions wholesale without having passed the boards is PRACTICING MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE, a felony in _every_ state.
the fact that someone considers taking the life of a human being for an excuse like money or not wanting to be a parent is st-upidity at it's finest.
I was the same when I was a teen. Then I listened to other voices besides my family’s and changed my opinion. I wouldn’t want someone to force me into a decision, what right do I have to do that to someone else? I don’t, nobody does.
so no laws EVER then because - boo hoo - that's "forcing"? e.g. if a mom wants to leave her bbay home alone to die so she can go to the beach NOW she cannot do that - does that mean she is being "forced" to use her body against her will to ensure her child's safety (boo hoo)? or are laws against child endangerment about protecting defenseless human beings? I'm going with protecting - as are laws telling men and women not to take the life of their unborn child.
@@mathildeyoung1823 your argument isn’t logical at all. If said beach woman really didn’t want to take care of a child she probably shouldn’t have had one, she should have a right to make a choice about her life and what she wants. Since she had the child she is responsible for it as after it’s born it’s a breathing human being and should not be subjected to abuse and neglect. Men aren’t being legislated because they can’t get pregnant. They may watch as women they love are bleeding out on the bathroom floor during a miscarriage because women can’t get the healthcare they need. Or maybe that gets a big boo hoo from you too.

I don't understand why politicians are allowed to make laws when they have no knowledge of the issues. How many of us have gone through years of education, or at least trainings, to learn about things we need to know to carry out our jobs properly, effectively? Meanwhile, those people don't have to do anything but talk out of their rears and force their personal religion into our lives while they take our freedoms away from us.

@mathildeyoung1823 pretty sick that you're equating not forcing women to carry their wanted babies that didn't make it inside them, chaining young parents into deep multi-specialist infant-surgery medical debt, etc. to 'making their lives easier' like it's some sort of casual handwavery easy thing to settle. just have the baby! it's only 18-50 years of parenthood and several hundred thousand dollars, often with little to no support from workplaces and neighbourhoods.

This ("no uterus no opinon") is a classic divide & conquer tactic most notably used in Germany during the 1930s, as Martin Niemöller wrote in his famous poem "First they came"
It's ALWAYS important for EVERYONE to stand up & support those who are being oppressed otherwise there will come a day, when they come for the last one standing & no one will be there to stand up for them & the oppressors ABSOLUTELY know this fact.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me.
Defend your neighbor’s individual rights as if your own:
Because they are.
🌊🗽💯🗳️💙🇺🇸🤟🏽🌿✌🏽
In my thinking, the "no uterus, no opinion" mindset comes from the fact that it is mostly old white men with no uterus who are forcing their beliefs and will on the rest of us. They want to rule us, not represent us.

We absolutely need everyone to be involved in this fight. It impacts everyone, not just women. If you think this doesn't/ won't impact you, you need to pause and think more broadly. The loss of women healthcare is only the beginning.

The loss of the next generation is no biggie, if couples want to put up with clumps of cells they let grow into children they can easily get them on demand.
There's a song by Manic Street Preachers that always springs to mind in these circumstances (or any circumstance really).
"If you tolerate this, then your children will be next".
The rights of everyone have to be protected or no ones rights are.
Love this!! Yes. We need every human to support any human's right to bodily autonomy. The government needs to stand silent on this issue. It's that simple. Keep up the good fight!!
The federal government must codify into law protections for such services. The nation's reliance on the Roe ruling clearly wasn't enough.

have you considered that the life of a new human being starts at fertilization? and that if you put a defenseless human being in a position of dependence on you that you have a responsibility to ensure the safety of that human being (at least as long as it takes to hand them over SAFELY to someone else)?
@@mathildeyoung1823 you're precisely wrong, however. Human life does not begin at egg fertilization. Not all fertilized eggs implant into the endometrium and end up just passed by the body - without implantation no development into a human can happen. Implantation also goes wrong. Her for it...says the 60 yo female
Thank you for this! I dislike the "no uterus - no opinion" line because if the pregnant person invites your input, then it doesn't matter whether you have a uterus or not - your opinion counts. And, conversely, if your opinion was uninvited, then it doesn't matter whether you have a uterus or not - you opinion is worthless.
Right. Any empathetic person, uterus or not, should have an opinion on this. We should care about people having rights, even if we don't belong to that particular group.
I'm still at a loss with gender fluidity. But I agree that everyone should understand how their body works and how bodies work, in general, to have a more informed opinion so they won't have a knee-jerk reaction to the complexities of reproductive rights. The Bible isn't the only answer.
This is a man. His body likely works like 99.9% of men's do. He's just trying to be the most speshul, not-like-other-guys guy in the room.
My mother, of blessed memory, did not have a uterus (hysterectomy). But she was very pro-chioce. Lots of uterus owners are anti-choice. We need to stop gatekeeping support and take it from all corners of society.
It’s all about choice!
there are some choices that need to be illegal though - like the choice for a man or a woman to take the life of their child, born or unborn, to make their life easier
@@mathildeyoung1823 I meant bodily choice.
Well done young man. As a cis woman beyond child-bearing years, I am fully in favour of choice for all women and have thought that men need to keep out of this conversation. But, I thought that men were basically anti women's choice. My rather huge mistake. The support of men like you should hopefully go a long way to supporting women who wish to choose what they do with their lives.
Wow - hiding behind the word "choice".... what choice? The choice to take the life of a defenseless human being, born or unborn, to make your life easier is a choice that needs to be illegal.
But you started by saying you were against it, when you had no opinion/involvement?
I get that you’re trying to be supportive now, and that’s great & all- but this all just kind of proves the point. If you aren’t directly affected and if you can’t empathize with problems that only affect others… well, maybe your opinion shouldn’t be the loudest in the room.
It shouldn’t take your rights being on the line to see other’s perspectives. Get informed before forming opinions
Thank you for your support!
Ignorance is not bliss., it is dangerous.
Slow down. Gather thoughts. Make a point. Who, is the audience you are trying to reach. Are you the right person for it. Thanks for caring😊

GILEAD IS UPON US!!!!! VOTE BLUE!!!!
Men need to be involved in the conversation because it is an economic issue for them. Forced birth has a direct impact on their lives & mental as well as financial health. As a woman who has had children & an abo I can honestly say that when the father is engaged, if an abo isn’t an option, they are also being forced by the government to become fathers. It’s unacceptable. It’s private & none of anyone else’s business.
So men should be able to make a "private" decision to take the life of their unborn child (e.g. by slipping a woman a so-called "safe" abortifacient)? I don't care how "private" a decision is - if that decision involves a man or a woman taking the life of their unborn child to make their life easier that decision needs to be illegal
@@mathildeyoung1823 Thank you for boosting the algorithm of videos like this! Your opinion is unwanted, but adding to numbers is nice!
@@zoyadulzura7490 so you're saying a man should be able to make a "private" decision to take the life of his unborn child?!?
