Nice rainy day at the River. Can't believe how much the water is down compared to your last video! Nice nutting stones!!! Looking for consolidated campfire stones seems to make a lot of sense. Thanks Clegg for another adventure

The nutting stones show definite signs of a camp site. Combined with the fire rock. I know you have points there. To bad none were found on this hunt. But we can't always luck out. At least you recovered some nice nutters. When the water goes down. After a good rain. I would definitely hit that spot again.
I'll be watching for your next video. Thank you for sharing this hunt with us. Best of luck to you. On your next one.

Michael Meisberger There are so many in this area. I usually find a few each trip down there. It must have been a highly populated area. I always keep the nicer ones but some are just busted up or no very good ones. Thank you so much for watching 👍

Clegg, you keep finding the nutting stones in the vicinity of the fire pit rocks. I have to wonder if they were used in fire starting ? Also, the shells were placed in burial sights. I've found deposits of them in the middle of fields ! Good Stuff ! Some of the guys round here, Greenup Co Ky, stick pool noodle floats on the sifters to go out further in the river where the creeks comes out. Love your show buddy ! KUDOS 👍

Blue Crow Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes, the river is way up again today. The ground is so saturated, every little rain floods the river. Im no master wood carver, but I’m gonna give it a whirl. LoL. I’m mostly a Luthier when it comes to wood. Thank you so much for supporting my channel.👍

That cobble looks like some sort of banded chert. Or even a metamorphosed siltstone

If you ever spot a small perfectly flat rock with a tiny hole through the top middle, those are rumored to be fishing net weights
Any thoughts? I'm a fairly amateur collector

Fishing weights around here are just flat sandstones, with two simple notches.

usually the shells were from the indians they ate alot of those and they had a pile they threw them in. Rocks finds them too at campsites some times.you know your in a good spot.
