    Watched that whole video with you and Daniel and there's so many nuggets of information in there. So many things to takeaway. Keeping the handprint the same didn't click when i watched his videos at first, but after yall discussed it, it made much more sense and clicked in my brain. Just connected for my 2nd 180 ever and the motion is much smoother. This channel is gold, Samson. You have improved my darts a ton. Appreciate it!

      Ah this is awesome to hear and what you’ve just described is exactly how it felt for me when explained again in that way and discussing it. Game changer !

      Ah yeah that was on the money! I am concentrating on that handprint every day and I am finding it more and more. It will take some time but it has started well. I averaged 60, 58 and 59 in my online games today.

    Hey.
    I stumbled upon your channel a couple of week back, and watching through them, you have made really good progress.
    Going off the back of the world championship and q school got me throwing again, and watching your videos has inspired me to properly start practising.

    Really good effort on these doubles, for sure you can see the difference after your session with Danial from Straight to the Point Darts. As amateurs it's extremely difficult not to think what we're doing when we have to try and concentrate, we basically have to think to concentrate and if we're having some wayward darts this then becomes a minefield especially if we're in competition. Having trust in our technique is what we need to concentrate on our target. Your doing well Sam, enjoying the content

      Ah thanks mate and your description there is exactly how I feel when I’m taking on changes to my throw. I can deal with one thing at a time and I have noticed my darts are much more consistent and accurate already. I need to do the hard work and make it become natural and not forced I guess. Cheers again!

    Great video mate, it's weird because I'm a lefty too and I have near enough the same grip and I'm sort of the same level (if not a bit worse) so it's great to watch these while I practice

    ive been doing the new follow through today but found myself falling back into my old way, like you said even though the information can be more understood now you still have to put it into practice ad lets try to not get demoralised when it doesnt happen overnight

    Very noticeable improvement on the doubles, dude, especially in the early-mid part of the session. Awesome stuff as usual 👏
    Quick question. How would you say you are progressing with having less of a drawback on your throw? I cannot for the life of me seem to stop hitting my face with the flights due to pulling the dart back too far. Its either that, or in the moments i do control it, I just dont get enough power in my throw due to the shortened drawback.
    I know you've mentioned several times about how you bring the dart back too far, so was curious how you felt you were getting on with it and if youve made any conscious changes to your approach

    • @SamsonDoesDarts180
      @SamsonDoesDarts180  15 днів тому +1

      Cheers mate. I am getting closer for sure.
      In answer to your great question, I haven't progressed at all with my drawback. I draw back too far and too quickly, and I don't pause; everything is too quick. Because I am concentrating on follow-through and my hand shape, I am not even going to worry about drawing back until I have sorted this part out, or I will struggle too much.
      So you pull the dart back too far as well, I was hitting my face a lot at the start also. For me, I raised my head more and dropped my elbow a bit to give me more space. It was a workaround but I need to sort it out properly at some point this year!
      I think the reason we do this is because we do not use our wrist and fingers enough, and to compensate, we launch the dart back to get more momentum. I am hoping if I can keep my wrist working all of the time, it will be much easier to fix the drawback.

      @GGMatt 15 днів тому +1

      @SamsonDoesDarts180 When you put it that way, taking things one step at a time does sound like the right approach. Work on one aspect of the throw, allow it to become natural until you dont need to think about it any more, and then work on something else. Doing it any other way and trying to rectify 10 things at once (I'm guilty of doing this haha..) is a great way to frustrate yourself and halt any kind of progress. As with everything, it's always about baby steps.

      @jackbourassa2420 15 днів тому +1

      Well done! I think you have enough tools to meet your 60’s average objective. Just stay away from any games that promote unnecessary levels of frustration. 👍

    What your goal? 60s or 70s more? 3 months 6 months year? Good stuff discussed. Some work for me and others not so much. Being able to repeat makes a more predictable outcome means more consistency and that creates your standard. Then you can better evaluate your progress.

    • @SamsonDoesDarts180
      @SamsonDoesDarts180  15 днів тому +3

      I would love to get to a 60 average on DartCounter by the end of the year. I think that is solid and realistic progress. I don't really know what my objective goal is I just want to see how far my potential goes and if I do get over 60s that will have surpassed my expectations when I started for sure.
      You are spot on with that. We all need to improve and change different things. It is amazing how we are all on the same journey but they are very different.

    Absolute uproar in my household when you left it on double 19! So close. Good darts mate 👏🏻. How’s the battle with dartbot level 7 going?

    • @SamsonDoesDarts180
      @SamsonDoesDarts180  15 днів тому

      Ha I definitely will get around this clock soon. I am getting better I am sure of it. DartBot 7 is a different story. I think I am about 8-2 down this month perhaps. I have also started playing online more in matches as so many people suggested it and it's more fun than DartBot but don't them that. I can see myself with Mr 7 for a 2 or 3 months for sure! How are your darts going?

    • @Splatterz180
      @Splatterz180 15 днів тому +1

      Not bad, currently around 55 avg and am 4-4 on dartbot level 7 this month but as usual am Littler in disguise one day then complete rubbish the next day 😂. Drop me a msg if you fancy a game online 👍🏻👍🏻. Just got an Omni, highly recommended it mate.

      After watching your videos I've just started setting a time on doubles. Set myself 25 mins. Only been throwing darts for a few weeks. Managed up to double 8 last night and also round the clock singles including centre bull was 7 mins. May sound alot but for where I was a few weeks back I feel an improvement. Watched through your "podcast" video was a great watch. Going to try the sting myself this weekend.
