    Nick you have no idea how much this helped! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Trying to do this myself for the first time, so much easier to hire someone else to do it but trying to save some dough as you mentioned. Thanks for this, I hope your wife hasn't "punched you in the face" this week! lol

    Hey Nick! In case i wanted to work on each artwork seperately, and then just place it as a jpeg on the template, should i work on the artwork based on the dimensions of the rectangle we would create on each side (with the bleeds and trim cuts in mind) ? The artwork should be on cmyk and 300dpi but what about the pixels?
    Very helpful video btw

    Fantastic... I was perplexed! Are their any tutorials showing how to do the text on the part of the cover that is upside down in the template?

    Hi Nick, just found your videos, and found them so helpful, thank you so much. I've made artwork with text on it, that I'm dragging into my digipack template as a 'finished cover' (etc) rather than adding the text at the template stage. Is that still okay, or should I be doing the text in the final template project? Thanks for your time.

    Thanks for the info Nick; that's great. One more query, if that's ok? I want a template that is the kind of CD sleeve that mimics a vinyl, double album gatefold (ie: a gatefold open at each edge). I can't seem to find that form of template on the Disc Maker site as all the templates for digipacks have a cd tray in various positions (dependent on the template design) somewhere on what will be the inside of the digipack! Any advice? Thanks.

    Great video! How do you accurately center text horizontally and vertically in one of the 4 sections (for example, the Front Cover section)?
    Thank you!

    Hello Nick. I'm wondering if you could post a tutorial on how to make album artwork?

    • @NickCasale
      @NickCasale  6 років тому

      Mike Eaton hey Mike, thanks for watching. Unfortunately that's just wayyyyy too broad a topic to get into in a video or two, it's essentially the same as making music as a while. Album art can literally be anything :)

    Nick, I do not have the font list in PS CS6 that I have in my other applications like Acrobat. Can I save ad the Photoshop PDF and add text in Acrobat, or not? I take it that Diskmaker and Oasis require the PDF file without the template lines, yes? (They do not explain that well on their websites.) By the way, nice tutorial.

    Hey Nick, Great video! You talked about the back and inside panels basically being the same, but how do I get to the back cover after completing the front cover? I know it's the same template, but it's essentially starting over, but in a different frame, right? Are the layers saved for the Front and we start new ones for the Back?

    • @NickCasale
      @NickCasale  3 роки тому

      Hey Rob, once you finish the front cover you're either starting over in the back cover section with the same processes/techniques OR you could group all the front cover elements, duplicate and then just slide over with the move tool (make sure to have auto select turned off at the top left of PS)

      @@NickCasale Hey thanks, I appreciate your response. I just decided to start over since I figured the Front Cover is saved. For some reason when I try to use the Rectangle Tool, it doesn't do like it did on the Front Cover. Now, I position it in the left corner, click and try to go up and to the right, and the rectangle goes up a little, but mostly it seems to want to create a rectangle down and to the left. What's that all about?

    Is there any difference for the one who is gonna print it out for me if my front is white, as well as disc, only with a black signature? Lol, quite modest... I've been wondering if they will know that there is something there :D Thank you for the tutorial, helped a loooooot, cheers

    Hi. Do you have to pay to use the Disc Makers templates or are they free downloads? I'm planning on printing my finished covers myself at home and assembling by hand; can I still use the Disc Makers templates if I do this?

    • @NickCasale

      They're free from discmakers.com
