"I wish I knew how to quit you." That line always makes me sob buckets, both Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal should have won Oscars for their amazing work.
Moulin Rouge was my fave movie for over 20 years. So glad it was included. But another I wish had been included is the movie Once. It's so beautiful in it's simplicity.

20:58 As an Austen nerd, I don't think I can let this one slide. Elizabeth doesn't make any advances for Mr. Darcy to spurn. His friend recommends her as a dance partner at a ball, and he snootily declines, not knowing she was within earshot. She then makes her mind up about him. It becomes clear that he falls for her first, and the story goes from there.
I might get hate for this but The Notebook should not be deemed one of the best for how manipulative Noah is when he threatens to fall if Allie doesn't go out with him
Monster in law, Made in Manhattan, Made of honor, Confession of shopaholic, Something borrowed, Bride Wars, The backup plan, Kate and Leopold, Letters to Juliet...

Lost in translation really isn’t focused on romance, but about 2 ppl who are at different points in their lives who are lonely despite having families(bill Murray) and married(Scarlett Johansson) who become friends and offer companionship-no physical intimacy happens between them if you’re wondering. Honestly I’m not sure why this movie is on the list but it’s a deep, philosophical beautiful story. This movie is based off of a trip the director took in her life and meeting someone who impacted her life so much she made a movie about it.
I really enjoy "Definitely Maybe". Especially the part when he tells his daughter that she's his happy ending. 🥰

The fact Crash won over Brokeback Mountain still baffles me.
@kamsismith Yep, one of the most baffling wins in the history of the Academy Awards, for sure.
More people need to see In The Mood For Love and the Before trilogy. They’re very under appreciated movies

Yes. Thank you. I rushed to the comments to make sure I wasn't the only one.
Thank you! It's like they didn't even watch it
I love that serendipity is on this list
If Only (2004) is really good and it will make you cry I promise
Really sad film. Saw it loads of times
I might get hate for this but The Notebook should not be deemed one of the best for how manipulative Noah is when he threatens to fall if Allie doesn't go out with him
Not only that. Their entire relationship is toxic. The older I get the more I realize she should have chosen Lon
I cannot stand that movie.
Please do Top 5 NON-DISNEY Sequels that are actually good and Top 5 NON-DISNEY Sequels that missed the mark.
Best:
Shrek 2
Kung Fu Panda 2
Madagascar 3 Europe’s most wanted
Ice Age: The Meltdown
Sing 2
SUCH ROMANTIC!
Honorable Mention: Hitch
The fact that people seem to have forgotten PS I Love You is almost criminal!
Moulin rouge is #1 in my book 📖
What about The Holiday! Love that movie
Now I have to watch "Sarah and Dipity" with John Cusack and Kate Back in Sale because those names are funny
Monster in law, Made in Manhattan, Made of honor, Confession of shopaholic, Something borrowed, Bride Wars, The backup plan, Kate and Leopold, Letters to Juliet...
The Lakehouse
" Nights at Rodanthy", Letters to Juliet" and "The Longest Ride"!
I forgot "The Vow!"
Just like heaven
Happy friday afternoon, Phoebe, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
One of my favourites from this period is always going to be Flipped. Juli waited half her life for Bryce to catch up to her, but he did.
"Flipped" is a love story thats closer to reality than more than half of the ones on this list ❤
Love Actually is Actually quite awful.

Where is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days! 😮
No 20
I have seen all these films. Shameless
No Midnight in Paris?
They are not adult film stars in love actually. They block scenes for the cast to set up cameras etc
I'm all John Cusack all day baby.
Before Sunset ? Moulin rouge deserved to be number one !
Bill Murry in Lost in Translation? Was that a romance? Yikes.

I love Lost In Translation. I never thought it as a romantic love story. It is so much more
OMG. Love actually should be way higher on your list but I ❤❤🎉🎉
Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was basically the anti-rom-com.
The 40 year old Virgin
50 first dates
Mamma Mia
The Proposal
She’s the man
Nope, Moulin Rouge should be number one. 😤
Mulon rouge? Yuck maybe I'm the only one to say it because that movie sucks. Where is the wedding singer?
Came out in 1998
It wasn't made in the 2000's
