Great to see Ty back with the "crew". Saw a few of his hunts previous years. Seems to be just as committed as ever. It's always great to catch up with old friends for a hunt after a separation of a few years. Looking forward to the banter and comraderie.
Congrats Casey on your Eagle Scout, it IS earned. I'm a 3rd gen eagle with a 4th at 2 years old and it is the first accolade I reference when rarely referencing accolades. I strongly believe that backcountry elk hunting most closely utilizes the skill set a scouting background imparts: the self-motivation, self-sufficiency, survival lifestyle comfort, connection to the nuance of nature and the infinite minutia that a life outdoors teaches. Anyone that mocks a scout essentially mocks themself, because it is the scout that will save the day when conventional measures fail :-)

Hey guys you have absolutely taken me out of my comfort zone and I'm going to make a trip and just get out there and try to arrow an elk and enjoy the hunt. My family owns a cattle ranch along the coastal ca mountains and all I hunt is blacktail bucks and it's so challenging when my season starts with the heat and the noise. But you guys have inspired me to go do it. Put my big boy pants on and try to do something I have never done thank you all I have never watched hunting shows and my buddy told me about this 50 day deal and I have found myself on a 2 day binder watching last year and this year of your land of the free series and I'm hooked!!!!!!!! Your show is so full of brotherly love and support it reminds me of my squad in our country's greatest military branch Army infantry... Thank you guys for your real material showing the bad shots too not just the good ones.. Please get ahold of me and I will treat your whole crew to our ranch stay up at the cabin and go for legit P&Y blacktail it's in Sunol, Ca surrounded by 50,000 acres of regional park so our place is some of the greatest hunting. I'm not kidding I have appreciated this so much get the crew and come make some videos and memories up here it would be my pleasure. Hey Trent why the hell didn't you grab your buddies bow on that huge bull that walked up on you guys last year when you were cutting up that monster bull!!!!! I was shaking and laughing!!!!!! Thank you all God bless get ahold of me!!!!!

Great to see Ty out there, I can't wait to see what's in store for Montana. I'm from Idaho and will be doing my first archery elk in Montana next year. My guide will be my hunting partner who took over 40 elk in Montana before moving to Idaho a few years ago. should be fun. Bring on the fun guys.

Just want to throw a shout out to my dad and my mom this year was my first year ever tagging out in rifle season I’m not the best bow hunter yet but these videos are making it easier to enjoy the hunting and fishing side of the world making a person understand that it’s not about killing every year and this being my first year tagging out fully was a big one for me because I was with my mom and dad and it’s hard for them being older and my dad having 12 back surgeries and 4 knee surgeries to get out and do it every year. This year though they were by me the whole season and we got our elk and one deer. The trophies were ok but it was that feeling of finally hunting with them that made it worth every second spent this year hunting I love them and I know they probably won’t see this but I just wanted to say that they are the best and will always be my favorite hunting partners at camp

Another shout out to Ryan Hatfield friend of mine is in Oregon as I type. He is a writer for western hunter magazine and wrote the books on Idaho big game. He has drawn one of the hardest tags to get in Oregon .Juniper late season muzzleloader hunt. Only 10 tags for mule deer and I hope he kills a giant. 20 years it's taken him to draw this tag so a really special moment for him. Starting tomorrow
