UIRI's Research on Bananas for the Textile Industry and Replacement of Polythene Bags in Uganda

During the Launch of the PSFU - UIRI GROW Project on 13th February 2024, Prof Charles Kwesiga, Executive Director UIRI explained to the Minister of GLSD, Hon Betty Amongi the Research advantages of UIRI's value addition initiatives to Banana to replace Kavera's (Polythene Bags) and produce quality textile products in Uganda.
