Longplay of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (which as we all know are americanized versions of the genre Super Sentai series), from SNES. Each title for each console have your own characteristics. The SNES version of MMPR is a side-scrolling action game composed of seven stages, with two different gameplay styles. In the initial five areas, the player controls one of the five original Power Rangers (Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Billy, and Trini) as they're sent to a location that is being invaded by Rita Repulsa's Putty Patrolers. I personally prefer the Japanese Super Sentais (Changeman, Flashman, Gokaiger...) instead of American versions, but this game has its good qualities, such as great music and graphics. Only the characters should have been worked best when they are morphed (they all have the same sprite when morphed, just changing the color, weapons and movement). Played with all rangers (one stage for each character) + megazord stages.

Damn... Those good old times with this game.... This reminds me when i was a kid playing this Game over and over without getting bored a bit. The soundtrack, the era of the CRT tv's, the everything... Man, this game was everything for me, it's just awesome without any single words.

The music in this game was pretty sweet.
Especially the boss theme,probably my fav in the whole game
It was developed by Natsume, and uses a simplified version of "The Ninja Warriors Again" engine, another Natsume game released earlier that year (1994). Same music composer across both games, too.
They likely developed it under contract for Bandai (the publisher) as a "shadow developer", which was common practice w/Japanese developers back in the day.

A really decent effort from Bandai,the only thing was missing was the 2 playwr co-op.The second game the movie was even better.I had it on snes years back,it was also easy.I Wonder of dotemu that brought us sor4 can make a New Beat em up with the rangers! The music also in this one kicks ass!

It's the year 2017 and I'm still playing mmpr! Last time I played this was through emulator on my tablet back in 2014, now I'm playing it on the actual console, love this game with a passion.

BGDD27 Yeah, but I'm guessing it's because the makers of the game just recolored the male model and didn't bother making a female one, cause you see Kimberley also doesn't have the skirt.
Couldnt get enough of this game back in the day.
God I loved this game so much! When i was little my sister couldn't get me off her SNES when i found out she had this haha. Amazing game. Also, RIP Thuy Trang, you are missed by those of us who grew up watching you save the world.

It looks like it was a fun game. I’ve played many snes games but not this one. With emulation especially with Android phones there’s just too much to play lol
Graphics still look really nice, but it's a shame they didn't create a separate ranger sprite for the girls - they suddenly become VERY buff and manly when they power up!
At least a separate sprite for Kimberly, since Trini was a guy in Japan.

Brings back alot of happy memories of 1994! Remember going to a friends place and we must of hired out this game for almost 2 weeks straight! It's really not bad at all, I also remember the Megadrive version as well. The 90's were a feel good time and people these days are complaining about PC issues regarding this game that nobody gave a damn about nor ever comprehended!!!
I remember playing this game during my childhood years. I remember renting this game at a video store and playing it alot. One of my favorite SNES games of all time and the music was so cool back then it still stands out as one of my favorite video game soundtracks of all time.
The one I use to Rent all the time when I was a kid I ended up owning when the video store was closing down and I bought it.

I was 11 then when this game came out, I was so thrilled I got this for Christmas in 1994 and I was hooked on it for hours and hours where I once ended up going to bed at 3 am.

DantesonofSparda85 yes, from their 2nd movie turbo: a power rangers movie. then he joined the show. everytime he morphed he had to grow and then change back to his normal size/height after. again stopped watching after that.

OH MAN NOW I REMEMBERED THIS GAME!!! This game takes me back when I was young where I use to sit down and watch my two brothers take each other's turn to play and beat this game although I remember half of the levels of the game but since I watch the video now I remember and I also remember watching the original show of power rangers as well that show is also something I remembered. Natume [the creators of shadow of the ninja for the nes] sure know how to make games back when they had the license rights to make power rangers games for the super nes as well as other license titles WOW.Back in my high school days after watching the video of this game on youtube I begged my brothers to downloaded this game so I can play it again just for the sack of nostalgia from childhood memories.And I was able to beat the game in no time without any problem maybe it's due to the fact that this game is kinda short and easy to beat since back then games weren't that long some where easy and boring to play again it. Nevertheless this game and the old original show of power rangers was memorable and Rest in peace Machiko soga you played a great epic roll as both characters bandora from the japanese version of super sentai and Rita repulsa from the american version of power rangers and Rest in peace thuy trang yellow ranger you too where the best vietnamese actress for the power ranger series aswell,Rest in peace bob manahan that played zordon in power rangers,Rest in peace Richard genelle that plays as Ernie,Rest in peace Maurice mendoza that plays as Richie as well as other deceased actors and actresses that played power rangers so all of you thank you for making power rangers my epic childhood days fun while natume thank you for making power ranger games and thank you for uploading this video this video takes me back from my childhood memories SO THANK YOU YAHOO YEAH.

Or at least for the Pink Ranger. If I remember correctly, the Yellow Ranger was actually a guy underneath the suit so the male animations would make sense.
Sheer laziness I know.. They basically just took the exact same sprite & swapped the color palette depending on which ranger! Typical 90s shortcutting... Lame.

I remember when I was a kid my uncle have both the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo and he has both version of the game but snes version was the better version and me and him play the version all the time And Sega Genesis was just a fighting game but I still have great Memory of playing this game
I thoroughly enjoyed Power Rangers on Mega Drive, never got to play this version. But looking at it, this one has a bit more of a Streets of Rage feel to it! 💪🏾💯
