Hi, I'm an Uber driver too, but in Canada. Agree with you on Waze. What irks me most about Waze is the popup to 'take a pic' of your destination. There is no way of getting rid of it. Due to huge user objections, they have reduced the popup size. Still it is annoying and still interferes with finding the right final address. Remember also one of the big pluses of Waze - it downloads an itinerary; extremely helpful for the times that various locations do not allow data access (GPS signal lost). Then you can still go by the instructions that were already downloaded. Addittinoally, there are so many instances where my customers told me that other drivers took them the wrong way, or got the wrong address - all because they were using Google Maps.

I love Waze too. Couple other improvements would be to to mark a cop in motion on either side of the road for when they aren't doing radar on the side. I would prefer that cop marking expire after a time cause cops could remove the report if they run waze to see if they are marked. When you go to next trip and you're in a driveway it still thinks you are facing same direction as when you left the road.

Hey Rockwell...brand new driver here. Should you have your GPS directions going through your vehicles speakers? Just not sure how some passengers would take that. If not, what are some recommendations. Thanks man and keep up the great work!

Shakey Perspective I have the volume turned off on GPS. When you first start out and don’t know your way around it’s good to keep it on. But once you know your way around turn it off. It gets annoying fast. Plus if you run it thru your speakers, the directions drown out the music volume which is really annoying to the passengers if a song is playing that they like
