I've been looking for something clean, simple and smart like this for almost two years. Sending love and warm wishes from Canada! A little custom measurement mods and will be amazing over laundry shelving so little kids can't reach chemicals.

@@mas5867 they do, they are good, but not avail outside the one option they sell for length/weight. Made a few matching sets from this design in the laundry room for pull down cabinets to keep detergents and general cleaning chemicals hard to access for kids.

Hey Dekay ! Great project. I was trying searching like this for quite some time but was not able to get it working. You have a great vision and a good understanding about geometry.
Have seen many more projects of yours and its very creative. Keep it up man.
I have one request for this Pull down shelf ... can you plz share the plan, I am not able to read the numbers and I am sure they are the most important part, without that I will not get it to work properly. So plz share the plan.

Отличная идея. Так можно по всему периметру стен сделать и будет все удобно, компактно и доступно. К обычным полкам тянуться надо, а тут полку к себе подтянул, выбрал что хотел и обратно, чтоб не мешалась. Зачет.

I see you like to use regular dowels as a bearing like substitute, in a very clever way. I've never seen anyone else doing this. Is it reliable? Could you detail more this mechanism in your next project? Great job!

I love this project! Have probibly seen it like 20 times now and plan to do some accessible upper cabinets, like these, in my kitchen and laundry station as I am short and use a wheelchair. Have you tested out the weight on this? Would a heavy duty gas strut give more weight capacity or would the wood break if it was used for plates as an example? THANK YOU for a lovely channel with so much creativity!!

    This is really excellent.
There's two things I am not sure I understand.
One is those hinges. I wish there was a better close-up of how they are assembled.
And the other is how do you spec that little shock-absorbing spring thingee, and where do you get them?
This is great for somewhere short of space and long on things that need to be stored within reach! Great idea.

I'm not a woodworker but this is an ideal solution for a problem I have so I'm going to try to make one of these. Thanks for providing the drawing with the measurements however, two measurements are missing! For the inner and outer boxes, you show the measurement of the hole placement from the bottom edge but not from the right or left side. I was wondering how to find the location for the holes?

What is the idea with the dowels and screws for the hinge points? I like it, it just seems that after a while they would rub out the dowel and fail. I would think here a threaded rod with a pipe insert would work better, I have seen them a lot in the recent videos. If they are sound I just might start using them, or hell I guess i could just make something with it and if it fails then it fails :)

Okay… I think in the tiny cabin I’m building in Alaska I’m gonna use these for upper cabinets, and the lower cabinets will be your design where the shelves come out sideways and then turn so you can see everything…. That leaves the corner cabinets… so, you need to design some lower corner cabinets that pop up (and upper corner cabinets that pull straight down). I know you’ve been thinking about it. If you or I wanted to drop cash and motorized it would be easy to do, but that isn’t me and it sure is t what you do on your channel…. So you need to design corner cabinets that pop up to access what’s inside, and then can be pushed back down to hide them.
I’m asking for a lot, but it’s another video for you with another amazing design to get subscribers and views, go on, say “challenge accepted!”

He seems to be using wooden dowels for pivoting, while the screw and washer were used to hold the dowel in place.
