Love Duarte for many years...since I saw him on some late night tv special tearing the crap out of his strat with an original, Shilo, and a Hendrix cover. He was probably mid 20's. Bought several CD's over the years...miss SRV but many are ably filling the void...here is one who has dedicated his life to blues and entertaining. Humbling and grateful...love me Texas Sugar/Strat Magik at high volume!
Still as great as the first time I saw him down here in Corpus back in the 90s. Glad he played a lot of great stuff from the first CD! I hope he can make a trip back this way soon.
So glad to see Chris still doin his thang! By far one of the best players I've EVER seen! Met him in Japan back in 95 when he was on Silvertone opeing for Buddy Guy and I been a fan ever since. Seen him a multitude of times in many states as well over the years. First class musician and individual!!
One of the most underrated song writer, guitar player, and all around performer on the planet. Have had the pleasure of seeing Chris multiple times over the years, mainly once the his first release came out.
J'adore ce guitariste depuis son premier album ...dommage qu'il nous ait pas jouer SHILOH ...chaque année je reviens l'écouter et chaque année c'est un pur plaisir ...merci pour ce concert ! 1000 THANKS FROM FRANCE FOR THIS CONCERT ! and THANKS CHRIS FOR YOUR TALENT !
I seen Chris in Lacrosse Wisconsin about 10 years ago in a small bar. I'd never heard of him till a coworker of mine that had a part time job at the same bar told me about this great blues guitarist coming that week for a gig. He knew I played guitar as well so figured I might be interested. Well I got there and Chris fired up and blew the roof off that place!! I was in complete awe!!!! Totally awesome musician! I'm gonna have to see if he's gonna be back in my area again! I'm definitely feeling his kind of blues lately!!! ;)
Chris had this other blues group open for him that totally floored me as well! I believe they were from Japan.. but those guy were badass too! Was an all around awesome night enjoying phenomenal blues music performed by some of the most amazing musicians I'd ever seen!
Saw Chris in 2020 , Oyster Creek, Tx. phenom! The bass and drummer he brought were on point as well. All I can say is being at the right place at the right time.
An Austin homeboy I love this guy. I'm glad to see he is, still healthy, looking good and sounding fantastic. This is the kind of great shit that came out of Austin back in the day
@@johnnysalvny I seen him in lacrosse Wisconsin about 10 years ago in a small blues bar. I couldn't hardly believe what I was seeing/hearing.. it was the most fantastic sound! Bluesy as all hell!!! Lol! I swear I hear Chuck Berry guitar in there too! :) 😀 Absolutely love it! Austin.. you guys made a Gem of a musician! 😉
Great to see Chris watched him play Giant Steps only tranes version he had transcribed it himself for guitar. He had just finished it and was working that to speed and that was in the late 80s 90s lol still killing it I see.....He can read and transcribe from horn to strings thats deep it was over my head then and he inspired me to learn to read and I did so thanks Chris.
I get the impression that Chris is one of those guitar players who are wholly dedicated or „immersed“ in their music. No technical show offs, just „being“ what he's playing in the very moment. And well, he's actually tuned down to D - I wasn't aware of that until now. There's certainly something in the sound that goes on with a Strat especially when it's tuned down...
Saw him at Summerfest in Milw in the late 90's. Front row. July 3rd. He started ripping the Star Spangled Banner, and they started shooting off fireworks!!!! Fucking Epic!!!
Wow excellent blues guitarist...... a lot of SRV and possibly Clapton influence as well

THIS is pure TEXAS! Years back we saw him play in Des Moines, Iowa. One helluva show, and he is a very, very nice man. Don't miss him!
Chris is definitely under rated. Been a fan since '94 and he's still world class.

Yes, happy to see he's still around and looking, sounding good as ever. First saw him in a small club near Woodland Park, Colo. mid-1990's.

Great show!!!! Chris is a Monster. First time I saw him right after first album, 2 or 3 times since. Gets better as times pass
GREAT ARTIST / GREAT GUITARIST !!!
Love that smooth bass tone.

You might be thinking of Moment’s Notice. I’m his cousin.🙂
Very good!
i like this blues guy!
this guy play has a lot of his own thought! funny!
his music include blues until some free jazz Phrase and theory.
A true disciple of SRV!
Bravissimo !!!
Super
incredible!!!
Incredible. Thank you very much, Michael
I like the both side of Chris. Serious ryth’m sound in every style. And those epileptic lead like a Vernon Reid blues guitarist.
This dude is one crazy cool guitarist!
Would love to be able to Jam like him!
He's put in a few hours lol.
awesome
..
Random that I found this but Soul Coughing was instant like (everything awesome as well)

Been trying unsuccessfully to find out where this guy comes from, l guess Texas, right?
🔊Cool🎸
I don't think much of Chris's singing but he is a phenomenal guitarist. So underrated. He and Malford Milligan should have a band.
OK!🙂
Singing has improved. Big fat guitar.
Chris is irrepressible!
Why a green thumbnail?
Uou Yeah. Fucking good.
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
Who knew Shawn Michaels "The Heartbreak Kid" could play guitar like this !
Get he and Phil Sayce together!
First track, the bass player struggling to hear himself ?🤔
bye bye Jimmy
Зачем рок?
this fellow i can only compare with my other guitar god: Frank Zappa
Bass player be like, I'm gonna pretend to play until that gets uncomfy!
koneyji
hes incredible he needs a new singer and an old guitar..
